The vast wilderness beckons! Beginning January 25th, 2014, all wild Pokémon threads that aren't incorporated as part of another post should go here. You are still welcome to include a section for bonding with wild Pokémon as a part of another entry or a log, but we encourage isolated wild Pokémon threads to go here to prevent flooding of the main comm with entries specifically geared to only cover wild Pokémon threads.

Please respond to the correct Week if possible for organizational purposes.

Verdant Forest North - Scyther

[aniiue]

[Chester is out in the Verdant Forest today, for both his Ranger duties and to train his Leafeon. Him and Shouya are walking around under the canopy of trees, helping a few Metapod that had fallen down from the branches they were hung out and couldn't get back up. Doing this sort of thing for wild Pokemon was tedious, but part of a low ranking Ranger's duties... Chester grumbled a little, wishing that somehow the day would become more eventful. Setting the last Metapod up into the tree branches, Chester jumps back down to the ground and looks at Shouya.]

Come on, let's go in a little deeper than usual.

[The Leafeon looks a little worried, knowing how reckless Chester can be... but follows along all the same.]

[As Chester venture forth he should find that there is a path that seems to have been cut with what looks like blades. Could humans be snooping around in this peaceful Pokemon sanctuary?]

[aniiue]

[Chester is a little suspicious, and he and Shouha press forward. The slices are almost too clean for someone wielding an ax, though... how strange. Stepping into the small clearing of fallen trees, he looks around.]

[What is this? In the small clearing there seems to be somewhat of a huge nest of long tall grass finely cut into bedding-like piles. If the grass itself's edges weren't extremely sharp it almost looks comfy.

Could this be a Pokemon nest?]

[aniiue]

[It seems like it's definitely a nest... which would give most people incentive enough to leave, but not Chester. He's curious and more than willing to explore around, even if it means disturbing something.]

[Chester should be able to hear something moving the more he snoops, it sounds like cutting noises -- shifting and slicing through the grass.]

[aniiue]

... Stay wary, Shouya.

[The Leafeon just nods! and follows close to Chester's heel. He takes his bow from where it's slung over his shoulder and pokes around in the nest with the end of the long piece of wood.]

[Suddenly!]

Scyther!!

[A winged Pokemon jumps form under the nest, what Chester doesn't know is this nest is feet deep, covered in share grass that could easily harm him or his leafeon, good thing he stayed to the side.]

Verdant Forest West - Hoppip

[ Taking a break from both school and having to go to Swords things as Robin, Dick is currently in the Verdant Forest with Robin the Fletchling. The forest was as nice as place as any to get some peace and quiet without having to go back home.

Not that it was a problem but a mansion does not equate to being out in some fresh air. Both him and Robin seem to be enjoying it and if he wasn't overly cautious about other people seeing it would have Bats and Nightwing with him too.

Well.. maybe tomorrow he could come out here as Robin just to even things out. ]

[It's very nice day, not quite too hot yet this early on in spring, and the rain of April seems to finally be passing. Everything's very green, and there are plenty of Pokemon around though none of them stray too close to Dick as he makes his way through the forest.]

[Eventually, he comes across a small stream, ankle deep and only a few feet across. Does he go over it, or continue down the beaten path?]

[justbewhelmed]

[ He's feeling gutsy today so let's cross the stream. There's nothing wrong with getting your ankles way every now and again. And he had plenty of extra uniforms to wear to school tomorrow too.

Robin also seemed to agree to the idea, landing next to the stream to get a drink before flying over it and off the beaten path with Dick following. ]

[There are some more birds around the stream, making soft happy noises as they flutter about. Dick and Robin don't seem to bother them much. A few yards back into the forest and things go quiet... before there's a rustling nearby!]

[ Dick and Robin continued to enjoy the scenery until they both hear the rustling nearby. Stopping in his tracks Dick turns and looks in the direction where the sound came from. What was the cause of the rustling? ]

[After a moment, a Hoppip jumps out of the bushes! It's small, probably pretty young still, and can't fly very high off the ground. It dashes right between Dick's legs, as a Pidgey bursts out of the bush after it, following close behind, its trajectory just a bit... higher... Might want to move there, Mr Grayson.]

[ Good thing Dick has good reflexes! After the Hoppip dashed between his legs he manages to jump out of the way so the Pidgey didn't run into it's... unintended target.

But once he's out of the way he turns and frowns. It might not have hit the unintended target but it looks like it does have a target in mind. So with a quick nod to Robin they'll go after the Pidgey and the Hoppip. ]

[The Hoppip races off, a little frantic as the Pidgey pursues it... It' scared! It's losing steam quickly though, after its initial burst of energy and it looks like the Pidgey is going to catch up...]

Red (re)bonding with Judy the clefairy

[ It had been another session of training by herself, a bag once stuffed with supplies lighter from the results of the days spent outside of the Union and inside the wild. It was always funny returning back home Blue found, back to the normal, usual and same walls and all. Even after the conversation had with a young boy about how everything was changing for the lives of the people of the Union, and how quickly too, the Union still had that feeling to her.

And good. That meant there was still a place for her to go for a fresh change of clothes, and to affectionately shoo off her pokémon companions for naps after fresh water and nibbles. Despite the walking already done that day though, Blue wasn't ready yet for a rest herself.

She leaves the house looking cleaner, though the bag she carries with knick knacks to be sold has seen better days. It's in this venture that Blue spots him, back turned to her but definitely him, and she decides -- she can definitely spare some time for him.

So as carefully she can, Blue tip toes up behind him and brings two hands to cover his eyes, leaning her head over his shoulder. ]

Hi there, stranger.

[Red himself was in the midst of having a serious, albeit one-sided conversation with his Clefairy, Judy. He had officially retired her, taken her off the books as far as registered to him, and she was simply a pet Pokémon that lived in his and his mom's modest apartment with them, and helped with the cleaning.

However, he has realized that perhaps he's been hasty. It was looking out for her safety, but she insists on both coming with him, and he has also noticed that he is still struggling for that niche that feels like a true partnership.

Quite certain that Abelard can fulfill this role with just a little more time, Red is anxious for some security now, and as of this moment he feels that he has indeed hit a large slump with his battling and overall mood. Needless to say, Judy is delighted at the aspect, but decides to play coy and aloof when she notices Blue behind her trainer to help distract him.]

Well--

[He freezes mid-sentence. While he could be wrong, he is sure that's Blue behind him. Despite this assurance, he panics and clears his throat.]

C-Can I help you?

[globetrotting]

Well.

[ The grin is large on her face, and she can just see Judy well enough to share it with her. Her attention goes back to Red though, trying not to giggle at his reaction. ]

I'm looking for a fun time... [ Deliberately, she pauses before continuing- ] ...with one cute pink lady called Judy and her boy Red. Can you help me out?

[crimson_pinnacle]

[Letting his thoughts wander a bit despite the possible danger, there is a sigh when Blue reveals herself, but it's all in good fun so he can't be mad. Instead he just shrugs.]

Wow, I wish I was him, but I dunno anyone named Red, do you?

[Judy shrugs, shaking her head, but then hops into the air, floating up to Blue to give her a hug. Her tail ticks back and forth a few times, brushing Red's face, and he sighs again.]

Some backup you are, Judy.

[Moving Blue's hands, he turns with a smile.]

It's been a bit.

[globetrotting]

[ Hands on Red is old news with Judy in town, Blue taking up the clefairy into her embrace. She brings her face down close to her and laughs softly, unable to hold it back any more.

After a moment she peeks open an eye at Red, then lifts up her head. ]

It has.

[ She chuckles, then brings Judy down to rest by her chest in her arms, though the clefairy is free to leave them without no problem if she wants. ]

Got time for a catch up?

Well.

[His gaze floats to Judy while he's considering. Thankfully he doesn't have to worry much about making a decision since she is quite happy for Blue to be around, and after thinking it over for a few seconds anyway, he nods.]

I was working on something, but I've got time for you.

[Judy throws her hands up in the air happily at this admittance from Red, today was just going her way full on. Now all she needed was a Moon Stone to hold and life would be perfect.]

[globetrotting]

[ Wasn't Judy very chipper today? It doesn't go unnoticed, but Red's words pique Blue's interest more. ]

Well, telling me what you're working on is a good place to begin. Anything I can help with?

It's...

[He chuckles, adjusting his hat.]

Well I guess I should say that it's technically done, just not officially. I asked Judy if she'd battle with me again. [She wiggles gently in Blue's grip; excited anew by him saying it to someone else. That meant it has to be true!] ...Obviously she said yes.
