The vast wilderness beckons! Beginning January 25th, 2014, all wild Pokémon threads that aren't incorporated as part of another post should go here. You are still welcome to include a section for bonding with wild Pokémon as a part of another entry or a log, but we encourage isolated wild Pokémon threads to go here to prevent flooding of the main comm with entries specifically geared to only cover wild Pokémon threads.

Please respond to the correct Week if possible for organizational purposes.

[As Chester venture forth he should find that there is a path that seems to have been cut with what looks like blades. Could humans be snooping around in this peaceful Pokemon sanctuary?]

[Chester is a little suspicious, and he and Shouha press forward. The slices are almost too clean for someone wielding an ax, though... how strange. Stepping into the small clearing of fallen trees, he looks around.]

[What is this? In the small clearing there seems to be somewhat of a huge nest of long tall grass finely cut into bedding-like piles. If the grass itself's edges weren't extremely sharp it almost looks comfy.

Could this be a Pokemon nest?]

[It seems like it's definitely a nest... which would give most people incentive enough to leave, but not Chester. He's curious and more than willing to explore around, even if it means disturbing something.]

[Chester should be able to hear something moving the more he snoops, it sounds like cutting noises -- shifting and slicing through the grass.]

[aniiue]

... Stay wary, Shouya.

[The Leafeon just nods! and follows close to Chester's heel. He takes his bow from where it's slung over his shoulder and pokes around in the nest with the end of the long piece of wood.]

[Suddenly!]

Scyther!!

[A winged Pokemon jumps form under the nest, what Chester doesn't know is this nest is feet deep, covered in share grass that could easily harm him or his leafeon, good thing he stayed to the side.]

[aniiue]

[Chester jumps back just in time to avoid those blades, an arrow in the rest of his bow at once and pointing at the Pokemon's face. Leafeon is a bit less brave than Chester and scampers behind his human friend's ankles... They'd have to be careful.]

[Go ahead, try this Pokemon, they are lighting fast so even a quick arrow is likely to be dodged.]

Scyther. [The Pokemon speaks again, this time with less excitement.] {What are you and your human doing in my nest?}

[Speaking to the Leafeon behind Chester.]

[aniiue]

[Shouya jumps a little when spoken too, looking around Chester at the Scyther while Chester just watches warily.]

{We were just looking! My friend is a Ranger, they help take care of Pokemon outside the city!}

{We thought humans had cut the trees down! That would be bad!}

{Takes care of us Pokemon? Bah-!}

[The Scyther proceeds to fix his nest, his back turned.] {Humans can't be trusted with such responsibility.}

[However, he doesn't tell them to leave, he seems interested in the young man if anything. The Scyther seems older despite his level, talking worldly.]

[aniiue]

[Chester lowers his bow when the Scyther seems less aggravated, but doesn't put it away.]

Sorry for poking around your nest... I didn't know.

{Chester helps lots of Pokemon though... He does a good job!}

[The Scyther also lowers his bladed arms.]

{Foolish young man, if I had been but any other Pokemon you would have been struck down.} [He seems to have gotten long in his old age but unlike other Pokemon not by leveling. Almost like suck in a stand still.] {You hunt to wildly and it'll cost you your life. I've watched many like him fall, tis the life of a nest keeper.}

{He's really sorry though... And he's not hunting anyone! He's trying to help!}

[Chester puts his bow away when Scyther drops his blades. It seems okay... for now.]

I didn't mean to bother you.

{What could humans possibly offer, young one?}

[Still mending his nest.]

[aniiue]

{He does lots of things for little Pokemon... last month he helped a baby Bidoof find his mom. Today we helped some Metapods from being trampled when they fell out of their tree! I only just got to know him myself, and he's a good friend!}

[Shouha goes on about Chester, very pleased with his friend.]

[The elder Pokemon pauses, his life has come and gone in this nest. Taking care of the young and sick, a life of meaning but not of soul.] {Once, long ago, humans and Pokmeon journeyed together on quests of worth and value. Struggles to better each other and learn the meaning of their own lives.

Be that of which Pokemon of old, teach this human the meaning of life while finding your own. I will not see the day we return to that prosper but Pokemon like you will lead our future to that of which once was.}

[Someone sounds as if he would have loved to journeyed during his days.]

[aniiue]

[Shouha doesn't really get it... but he nods, looking between Chester and Scyther when Chester squats down in front of the Scyther and digs into his Ranger kit. Pulling out a ripe berry, he offers it to the other.]

Here. As an apology for wrecking your nest.

[The Pokemon closes his eyes, thinking deeply about his next movements. Accepting his berry but also lowering his guard completely.

He waits, wondering what the human will assume under such circumstances.]

[aniiue]

[Chester just smiles.]

We'll leave then... Sorry about that.

{You could come with us! You could help all sorts of other Pokemon then!}

[Leafeon is rather desperate for another forest friend.]

[The Pokemon gets down on one knee, bowing.]

Scyther.. {I wish to follow you, young man.}
