The vast wilderness beckons! Beginning January 25th, 2014, all wild Pokémon threads that aren't incorporated as part of another post should go here. You are still welcome to include a section for bonding with wild Pokémon as a part of another entry or a log, but we encourage isolated wild Pokémon threads to go here to prevent flooding of the main comm with entries specifically geared to only cover wild Pokémon threads.

Please respond to the correct Week if possible for organizational purposes.

[Thinking back to his conversation with Blue, Red was back in the Deep Canyon again, this time he had a guide in Adenine, who was directing him for the most part how to reach some of the deepest parts to find the strongest and rarest Pokémon within. He was hoping to find something good even if it wasn't a new partner and thus he was crawling over the rocks and carefully making his way deeper still while the Omanyte pointed out the best rocks until he reached something akin to a bottom, and set it on the ground survey his surroundings.]

A rush of air blasts by as something flies right over Red's head, the force sweeping his hat off his head.

[There's a spilt-second reaction, but Red is just an ordinary human though, so while he reflexively reaches for his hat; it flies beyond his reach and he looks up to see what blew it off. Adenine seems like it has an idea though, and Withdraws to boost it's defense, expecting a fight. Meanwhile, Red rushes for his hat and hopefully a chance to see what flew by.]

Red catches a good look at the flying Pokemon just in time for it to pull around and dive at him, its fanged mouth open wide and drool running from its mouth as it goes right for him!

[This wasn't good at all! While he briefly wondered why he kept finding trouble, he remembers; it's because he keeps looking for it. Diving out of the way, he glances back at the Omanyte, peeking from his shell.]

Do it Adenine! Water Gun!

[Emerging quickly, Adenine turns to the flying menace and shoots a blast of water at it. Red snatches up his hat and scrambles for a rock to put it between him and this new Flying type.]

The Aerodactyl stops short, flapping its wings and shooting up into the air with a pained squawk.

Taking to the air again, it begins circling, looking for an opening.

[Don't like water, huh? That's handy and Red files it away, activating his Warp Band. After a moment, he steps from behind the rock and takes a breath.

Glancing to Adenine to make sure the Omanyte is ready, he receives a nod that another Water Gun will be ready if it looks bad. He then aims his wrist and shoots a pulse with the Warp Band at the Aerodactyl to try and make contact.]

Hey, instead of eating me, why don't you come with me? There's better places to fly than this.

Week 11 | Mausoleum

[It's funny. Even after gaining some advice on places to go to find more Pokemon, Riku still decides to head underground before heading back outside of Union. Sure, he'd like to explore more than just the Shrines at the lake and forest or just head back there, but there were still some interesting places in Union that he wanted to go to.

Like the Mausoleum. Riku's been past it before while working, but he's never really gone inside of it before. Lots of the other Delvers whisper about how haunted it was, but ghosts didn't really bother him so much. Neither did the darkness of the area. His eyes adjusted well to the lack of lighting.]

Well, Mickey, let's see what's in here. [The Houndour by his side barks in agreement, trotting by Riku's side as they head into the crypts.]

[By now, thanks to ongoing exploration, it doesn't smell quite as musty as it did when it was first reopened. Of course, it's still as mysterious as the dark side of the moon and very manly. A chill wafts through the air, carried by a strange breeze-- they're underground so it really makes no sense.

With his typing, Mickey certainly has an advantage in most potential battles, though avoiding those might be a wiser idea overall. But it'll be sort of hard when it feels like something's watching them as soon as they set foot (and paw) inside.]

[Already this place is oozing with weirdness.

The two of them continue inwards at a slow pace, trying to take everything in right now. The musty smells in air do make Mickey sneeze a bit, making Riku stop every once and while to make sure his partner was okay (also to give head scratches and fond smiles). Despite the sneezes, the Houndour seems to be in high spirits.

Although Riku wishes he felt the same. Even though he's a Dark type and this technically doesn't scare him (since when has darkness ever scared Riku?), the breeze doesn't make him feel very comfortable, and neither does the feeling of being watched.

After another moment of sneezing for Mickey, Riku stays kneeled at his side, looking around carefully.] I kinda get the feeling there's something here...

(OOC: Sorry for the super late! Taking this one over since Babs stepped down from being a helper and we don't want to leave you hanging any longer. )

[ There was a shift in the shadows right as Riku speaks. It seems to be finding interest in something.

That interesting thing happens to be Riku's hair. So when it thinks the moment is right, it appears behind him and tries to yank on some of his hair.

Does it succeed? ]

[Gdi really.

He lets out a sharp growl as it doesn't tug, just up and pulls on it. He gets weird looks for both the length and the colour a lot, but nobody really touches it.

Instantly he moves away from the whatever that was pulling it, patting down his hair with a hand in case it's not a Pokemon and it's just caught on something.

Mickey just lets a small Ember goes, enough to shed a little light in the area but not enough to light anything on fire. Even though they both have good vision in darkness, lets see what's in here.]

[ Yes really.

The perpetrator giggles at the ground of Riku's growl. That was an interesting sound you made there! And when the light is shed it is none other than a Misdreavus floating there.

She doesn't even seem to mind that she was caught in the act. ]

[Of course he meets jerk ghost types. Of course.]

A ghost? [He's not an analyst, but most other Pokemon have feet and don't float into the air like that. Guess the stories about this area being haunted were true.

Mickey whines by his side. She isn't bothered, but he is. Why all the hair pulling?]

[ Naaah she's just playing! ... like a jerk would.

Misdreavus flips in midair. That's her! A ghost! And why all the hair pulling? Because it's fun, duh. Just be glad you didn't meet her sister; she pulls hair a lot harder than she did. ]

It's been a couple of weeks since the last time Feliks went out searching for Pokémon to meet. Sure, he's hardly been seen around the city since the Island was discovered, but the truth of the matter is that he's been preoccupied. His loss to Rory left a bad taste in his mouth, and he's been off training with all of his Pokémon friends to try and soothe the sting of it.

Now, though, he finds himself a little higher in the mountains than he intended to come, and a little bit curious. What kind of Pokémon live all the way up here? The weather at the foot of the mountains is really pretty pleasant, but there's still a sharp chill to the wind this close to the peak. He hugs his Dratini to his chest a little, pressing onwards with several other Pokémon at his side.

[With such a young dragon it isn't wise to venture far in harsh temperatures. Keeping to the base of the mountain seems best, finding that many different kinds of Pokemon must live in the area. Food sources have been recently picked though.

Around one of the many berry bushes is some paw prints, remains of poorly eaten berries litter the ground. Seems the Pokemon around here could be young as well from their child-like eating habits.]

"Huh. Weird. Emilia, gorgeous, you smell anything?"

The Houndoom glances at him, then dutifully sniffs the air for a few moments. When satisfied that she's checked thoroughly enough, she nods, sort of gesturing to the bush with the fallen berries with her horns. Feliks hardly waits for her affirmative, just goes ahead and slips into the bushes, turning his head this way and that to see what's around.

"Heyyyy. Like, anyone around?"

Choo.. [A little cry from a tree not far from where they where standing, the paw prints trail back from the bush. A timid looking Pokemon is hiding behind it, looking over shyly at the others now around the berry bush.]

[Oh, no, it's so cute! Feliks kinda doesn't wanna touch it, on account of the gross snotty looking thing, but still kind of cute.]

Hey, little dude. Like, what are you doing back here? You're not scared of us, right?

[He offers it his hand, with a little grin.]

Choooooo-! [It cowers behind the tree, willing to powered snow or scratch whoever draws too close quickly. Feliks will have to handle the little one with care.]

[No one ever accused Feliks of excessive sensitivity--he takes a light dusting of snow before it occurs to him to back off a little.]

What gives? Are you like, scared or something?

[Wait, maaaaaybe that would work better with the Warp Band. Righto, going to use that and try again!]

Scared? Why?

[The light catches the Pokemon's eye.. but there are others out there. Other Pokemon they don't know..
