The vast wilderness beckons! Beginning January 25th, 2014, all wild Pokémon threads that aren't incorporated as part of another post should go here. You are still welcome to include a section for bonding with wild Pokémon as a part of another entry or a log, but we encourage isolated wild Pokémon threads to go here to prevent flooding of the main comm with entries specifically geared to only cover wild Pokémon threads.

Please respond to the correct Week if possible for organizational purposes.

[With such a young dragon it isn't wise to venture far in harsh temperatures. Keeping to the base of the mountain seems best, finding that many different kinds of Pokemon must live in the area. Food sources have been recently picked though.

Around one of the many berry bushes is some paw prints, remains of poorly eaten berries litter the ground. Seems the Pokemon around here could be young as well from their child-like eating habits.]

"Huh. Weird. Emilia, gorgeous, you smell anything?"

The Houndoom glances at him, then dutifully sniffs the air for a few moments. When satisfied that she's checked thoroughly enough, she nods, sort of gesturing to the bush with the fallen berries with her horns. Feliks hardly waits for her affirmative, just goes ahead and slips into the bushes, turning his head this way and that to see what's around.

"Heyyyy. Like, anyone around?"

Choo.. [A little cry from a tree not far from where they where standing, the paw prints trail back from the bush. A timid looking Pokemon is hiding behind it, looking over shyly at the others now around the berry bush.]

[Oh, no, it's so cute! Feliks kinda doesn't wanna touch it, on account of the gross snotty looking thing, but still kind of cute.]

Hey, little dude. Like, what are you doing back here? You're not scared of us, right?

[He offers it his hand, with a little grin.]

Choooooo-! [It cowers behind the tree, willing to powered snow or scratch whoever draws too close quickly. Feliks will have to handle the little one with care.]

[No one ever accused Feliks of excessive sensitivity--he takes a light dusting of snow before it occurs to him to back off a little.]

What gives? Are you like, scared or something?

[Wait, maaaaaybe that would work better with the Warp Band. Righto, going to use that and try again!]

Scared? Why?

[The light catches the Pokemon's eye.. but there are others out there. Other Pokemon they don't know..

Mamma always said never to talk to strangers..] C-Choo... Cub.. [Should they..?]

[No, no, they're friends! Friends are like family, and these are his, so they're nice and safe, even the scary-looking one.]

[Feliks edges a little closer, then sits down on his backside on the cold ground.]

[Strangers scare me, too. A lot, sometimes! So where's Mamma now?]

[M-mamma... mamma she's...]

[The little one pauses..]

[She's not back yet..]

[...Well, that doesn't sound good. Feliks glances at his Pokémon companions, a little concerned. It's the youngest of them, his little tiny Dratini, who speaks up: Mamas are really important! That's why I don't let this one go away.]

[Unaware of her words, Feliks bites his lip and reaches out gently with his thoughts. So where'd she go? How long has it been? Maybe we can help out...]

'S-Sense those humans.. they put those boxes on the mountain..'

[... It's been a while, it's been lonely. The Cubchoo could only feel envy for the Dratini even if they where confused as to how they human was their mother.]

[It could be just an arbitrary way of referencing the timeframe, but Feliks doesn't feel very reassured about the little guy's situation right now. What humans? What boxes? Did it have to do with Team Evolution?]

[Was it a long time? Where did you last see her?]

'... I-Its been a long time now...' [About a month, that's a long time for a little guy like this to be without a mother.] 'I-I last saw her before the earthquake.. she hasn't come home yet..'

[Before the earthquake? Gods--gods, that was months ago! No wonder the little thing's been so scared. Feliks bites his lip, glancing around at his Pokémon companions again.]

[Can you show us where you last saw her? We can help you look for her. Or... If we can't find her, you could come with us to the human city and I could take care of you for a while.]

[This is him trying not to let on to the poor little guy that she might just be... Gone.]

'T-The human city..? Could mama find me there if--...' [You can tell they are scared, and lonely, they must have been her only cub..]

[How is he supposed to promise that? Feliks will lie when it's important, but doesn't make a habit of it, and isn't much good at it.]

[We can try to find her up here, and... The human city's really safe, and lots of Pokémon live there, too. If your mama comes looking, they'll definitely help her find you. And we can come here sometimes to check if she's shown up, if you wanna?]

[That's about as far as he feels ok promising. Carefully, resigning his heart to losing this coat or spending ages washing it, he holds his arms out in a wordless and clear offer of safety and comfort.]

[The little Pokemon is scared, lonely, and hungry for only being a cub.. These little bears eat a lot and he's been so used to fish or meats but they're mother never came home.. They miss her so baldy, every single day.. but like any child without someone to love them they seak it..

The child takes Feliks hand..]

[Feliks squeezes its paw softly, then reaches down to pick it up, finding the confidence to push that promise a little further, speaking aloud and echoing the sentiment over the warp band.]

Come on. It's gonna be okay.
