Pokémingle 2: The Pokémingling

It's another lovely summer day! It's later in summer now and as the excitement from the previous weeks die down, another sign goes up in the local park...

Pokémingle!! Back by popular demand!

It's an open event for Pokémon of any kind! Play games, walk together, and relax in the sun! Trainers, let your Pokémon take the day off! Let's make Pokéfriends!! (^_^)

((Pokémingle returns! While the base premise is that it's a relaxing day at a park, feel free to respond with other top-level comments with what else your Pokémon might be doing around Union. No real rules about top-level threads, so if you want to include all of your Pokémon in one thread or do separate ones for a few Pokémon, go ahead. (Try not to make top-levels for 15 different Pokémon though if possible.) No trainers allowed!! Or at least, minimal trainer interference!

[ It doesn't matter who, where, or what you are, or when you visit the park. At some point, you will be accidentally run into by a baby Rhyhorn. (The good news is, she's only a foot tall. The bad news is, so are some of you, probably.)

Alternatively, a Leavanny and a Spritzee have set up shop making flower corsages. You could stop by and request a masterpiece! They've got a model and everything!

....Just don't be intimidated by the fact that their model is a Beartic in a flower crown, okay? ]

[Rock, graceful lady Rhyhorn and army commander of slow reaction times, (eventually) notices the youngster of her species while she's steadily denuding one of the park's bushes. She gives him a slow nod of acknowledgement as she continues eating.]

[eggbaby is 'helping' with the flower corsages by burrowing through the material...and maybe losing her plush Rhyhorn under all the flowers and leaves in the process. Whoops.]

[A Houndour's venturing over to the Leavanny and the Spritzee sniffing around curiously. What's going on here?]

[Well the model is of a bit more interest to a certain Hitmonchan than the flower crowns, but...that doesn't mean he won't stop by and greet the corsage-craftsmon. He bows to the pair and grins over at Beartic.

And then a massive shadow falls over everyone as Avalugg realizes his buddy is going to say hi to the nice bear...

Don't mind him, but...he might like some flowers too.]

[There is a chance that the baby Rhyhorn will notice a Taillow following close, as if making sure the Pokemon doesn't get into any kind of trouble.]

[And the baby Rhyhorn eventually runs into Toothless, who has no idea what the baby is doing up in his personal bubble.]

After the bonding experience of once again taking unreasonable amounts of punishment for her best friend a week or so ago, Toyo had quietly evolved into her ultimate expression of natural frilliness. The Blissey gracefully waddles bounces floats into the park and looks around - she's not on Rise-sitting duty taking a day off today and wants to hang out with fellow cool and attractive Pokémon.

That Pokemon is taking care of an egg...

Piyo blinks for a few moments as she glances down at herself. ...Piyo is an egg! Maybe they're related! This is clearly a logical thought process that makes 100% sense.

She will innocently trail along behind Toyo at a distance for a little while.

[Well, since she's back in Union for the day, Yuuna's more than happy to give her group the day off. At least those that are willing to go off and relax. Zedd the Magnezone has a distressing habit of refusing to stop orbiting it's trainer, and Kyo the Pupitar is in a bit of a mood lately...so...in the interest of not having an angry spike-egg around Yuuna just drops off some of her others.

So, bounding around the party and snapping up Pokepuffs with his new tongue is a Politoed, and he's doing his level best to distance himself from his most surly companion: A Hitmonchan who keeps sizing up other Pokemon...looking for someone to box with maybe. He gets bored easily.

Happily sitting in the sun on it's behind, looking basically everywhere but saying nothing is a Golett, it's stone face not...really...able to smile (but it totally wants to okay?)

...And not too far away, towering over the vast majority of the assembled Pokemon is an Avalugg. He's got rubber boots on, and bits of rubber affixed to the sharp edges of his back in an effort to childproof him, but that doesn't stop him from making lots of noise when he takes a step, peering down at the smaller Pokemon and shoving his craggy face all up in your business to say hi.

[As Golett sits motionless, a string will slowly descend from above into its stone hand. Look, someone's offering it a balloon!]

[ "You guys have fun! Niku, make sure Turnip doesn't stink up the place! And don't get into a fight with Pinky, Puffy! Don't think I'll know! ... I'll be back for you in an hour!"

That was the last that Pinky had heard from Usagi as she had left the park. Niku the Ivysaur and Turnip the Gloom had gone off to their own corner to sniff poison powder, no doubt while Lucky the Fletchinder is sitting on a perch, preening its feathers and Puffy the Jigglypuff is taking a nice little nap in a small patch of clovers.

Pinky, on the other hand, is roaming around the area, curiously checking out all the other pokemon that are here. ]

[ Spritzee, being a busybody and therefore inclined to keep active, is out gathering materials for Natto's flower crown workshop. What are that Ivysaur and Gloom doing, though?

She flutters over to see. Pardon the intrusion! ]

[Well...hello there Pinky. Do you remember Phobos? She sure hopes you do...because she's walking in your little shadow, waddling along and stopping whenever you do, totally pretending she's not following you at all. Nope, nothing to see here. Just an ordinary Murkrow doing Murkrow things.

And maybe coming up with a nasty plot...]

[Playing games, just relaxing, doing a thing? There is a certain Probopass floating around the party. Different color and his mustache is a bit on the curly side, but he seems happy and energetic. Humming a tune as he float all around the park.

Energetic at the point of shoving his face into yours to say hi. More politely and careful if you are smaller than him.

[Maria the Flabebe, out picking flowers, blinks up at him in confusion. She can't really speak re: floating weirdly around, but honestly, what is with that moustache?

Well, no matter. She raises a flower up at him.]

[Mithra, a newly-evolved Nidoking, can be found lounging, watching some of the other Pokémon interact. He's a bit on the shy side and, while this wouldn't really be something he would seek out on his own, he's here because of his human partner. She said it would be good for him, help his confidence a bit, and he knew he could use a bit of that.

But even still, interacting with other mons was hard, and he wasn't sure where to start.]

[After he's been playing the wallflower for a little while, there's a soft, attention-requesting sort of sound nearby. A Gardevoir waves up at him, with a peaceable little smile.]

[OPTION 1]

It's been quite a time, the past couple of weeks.

Jadwiga the Gardevoir was lucky enough to avoid being harmed in the confrontation, but her trainer wasn't. She's seen to it that his mate is looking after him for now, though, long enough to get out and go for a walk in the park. It could be nice to just talk with some other Pokémon, perhaps, or just... to walk around the park, and enjoy Pokémon-watching. For the moment, she's seated near a fountain, hands (such as they are) folded demurely in her lap as she watches people go by.

[OPTION 2]

Speaking of that big battle the humans got people dragged into, why wasn't she invited? Danuta the Mienfoo is in a clearing, near some trees, trying to keep a level head as she goes through some practice fighting forms. Perhaps a good spar could clear her head a little... If you're passing by, she just might challenge you!

[OPTION 3]

Out on a grassy hill, a Skiddo and a Flabebe are sitting and chatting together. The weather is bright and sunny, and both of them look to be soaking it up happily. Maria, the Flabebe, occasionally gets up and zooms around gathering flowers-- they seem to be working on something together, but if you come by, Maria might offer you a flower anyway!

What's that shadow? Look up, quickly!

Oh, it's just an Altaria.

An Altaria who's running around taking things from Pokémon, especially anything that looks soft, and trying to recruit them into helping her. She JUST built her nice new nest in the Citadel, and now she ends up moving here! It's a lot of work, so someone should do it for her, obviously.

Captain the Growlithe is covered head to toe in soft fur. The tufts on his head and chest, and his entire tail being the softest and fluffiest of it all.

He doesn't take well to having any of those bits of his anatomy tugged at, though. However, he's also currently napping in the sun, and totally unaware of any looming shadows that might or might not be attracted to his copious amounts of soft fluff.

[there's a Rapidash engaged in the very serious business of eating her way through a patch of wildflowers, while a Roselia at the other end is trying to pick as many as possible for some grand decoration scheme or another. Possibly one involving flower corsages.

Meanwhile, there's an Eevee trying to solve a dilemmia. She wants a nap...but she has to keep the Togepi from wandering off. What if she kinda lays on top of baby? Would that work?

...nope. Eggbaby trills happily and wiggles even more. It's a game!]

[Well, a certain Kirlia remembers the Eevee problem-solver and the Eggbaby. And given that the growly little thing had seemed to accept her company, Deimos will just meander over, waving. Sup dude?]

[A Chansey is standing on one of the grassy hills watching the world go by while dutifully keeping the egg in her pouch safe. Above her a pink Jumpluff is floating through the air without a care in the world, humming contently to himself.

Though that Mawile sure does have what looks like an unfriendly expression.]

[There is a particular Vulpix that takes unfriendly expressions as an invitation to make new acquaintances...and she's just trotted up to that unfriendly-looking Mawile.]

[Hello! The weather sure is nice today, isn't it?]

[Fenris had wandered into Union sometime after dawn and found a good spot in the park to rest in, nice and quiet and empty, just as he preferred. Until Pokémon started appearing and invading his nice, quiet spot.

Of course, being illiterate, he has no idea why all the Pokémon are suddenly around. So he stomps about defiantly because Hawke says attacking Union's Pokémon outright is a no-no, and he wants his spot clear of intruders. Because he was here first and has dibs, or, at least, that's how it usually is in the wild. Unfortunately, he doesn't quite understand the idea of shared spaces like parks yet, but on the bright side, his huffy, little stamps are hardly deterring in a place like Union. What's intimidating about a tiny, shiny Zorua anyway? If anything, he just looks accidentally adorable.]

[Sunny the Flaaffy isn't a very good judge of adorable, accidental or not. She's more drawn to coolness and elegance than anything else, honestly, and the grumpy-looking Zorua stamping his bitty feet looks like both of those things to her. Sunny's still getting used to walking around on two feet instead of four, having just evolved recently, but she waddles up to the cool-looking Zorua gamely, intent on finding out what's the matter!]

[ Going down the list, there's a number of additions here! Of Melaka's pokémon, about half of them showed up for this, some of which were here last time, some of which were not.

Tiny the ironically named now quite large (and a little bit fat) Aggron is going around eating anything he can. He has been so ravenously hungry since he evolved twice in a fairly short time! And nothing is quite sating his hunger it's a little terrible. He's not used to his size, so it's possible he might be freaking people out. And possibly wondering if you might look delicious if you're small. Fortunately, he's being followed around by Broder the Graveler, who might not be the most delicate guy ever (hell, he's rolling everywhere instead of walking, so he might run you over...) but he at least will make sure his friend makes no dumb choices! Probably!

Fortunately, neither of them can stop their mutual friend Kettie the Staraptor from going around and trying to poop on people, among whatever also pranks he thinks are funny. He's a fairly vulgar bird who thinks he's a lot funnier than he is. Unfortunately for everyone else here.

Then two of Melaka's pokémon are here for advertising, for very different causes. Gunther the Jigglypuff is here with glasses on and an unlit cigar in his mouth, looking for pokémon who are pink. He has a bit of an idea given to him by someone else, and he wants to see his idea - his vision, if you will - come to fruition. In counterpoint to him Willow the Gloom is trying to teach everyone who'll listen (and can tolerate her stench, a bit exceptional even among other Gloom because she grows moss on her head) about the Legion of the Moss Rock and about how all grass types must go at least once in their lives.

And finally, to round it off, Sneak the Trevenant is here. She's still not totally used to walking instead of flying, but she's... shy. Still. So while she could mingle, she eventually decides to trying to pretend to be a normal tree and then scaring the piss out of people is a much better introduction than just being awkward. Flawless, right?

[ If Gunther wants other pink pokemon, he'll be pleased to know that there is both a Clefairy linefacing at another Jigglypuff roaming around the park.

The Jigglypuff, while being on his best behavior towards everyone else, is generally being a playful nuisance to the Clefairy to get a rise out of her. Why? maybe he secretly likes her who knows. ]

[Fun time frolicking in park? Forget that crap, there is something way more important going on. Like the Pancham that situated itself on a tree stump, a totally awesome tree stump. And he's challenging you, yes you to a duel for the right to be King of the Stump! Any takers?]

Pan! Cham pan cham cham? {C'mon! You're not scared are you?}

[Yeah, the stump isn't special. There's no such thing as being king of it. This is stupid. ]

[What a wonderful day! What a magnificent gathering!

Perfect for tracking down some new subjects.

Vespiquen is buzzing eagerly around, having ditched her trainer and fellow teammates, in favor of poking her nose in everyone's business. It's hard work trying to find Pokemon who would make for appropriate underlings, but Grass and her fellow Bug types especially keep catching her eye.]

[There's a pink Jumpluff floating through the air without a care in the world. He seems pretty relaxed too if the content look on his face is anything to go by.]

[Kai's Pokemon were definitely up to mischief. Jinora the Taillow had already given up trying to make them stop. Now that a Hoppip and a Shroomish had joined them, things had gotten more chaotic.

Ravi the Combusken was running around, followed by a Squirtle named Miki. Close by, there was a Shroomish throwing spores in the air and then sniffing them, looking more and more relaxed every time he does so. And then there was Hoppip, crashing into every Pokemon she sees around in an attempt to make friends.]

Wait, no. The Hoppip isn't all that heavy. Or attack-y.]
