Pokémingle 2: The Pokémingling

It's another lovely summer day! It's later in summer now and as the excitement from the previous weeks die down, another sign goes up in the local park...

Pokémingle!! Back by popular demand!

It's an open event for Pokémon of any kind! Play games, walk together, and relax in the sun! Trainers, let your Pokémon take the day off! Let's make Pokéfriends!! (^_^)

((Pokémingle returns! While the base premise is that it's a relaxing day at a park, feel free to respond with other top-level comments with what else your Pokémon might be doing around Union. No real rules about top-level threads, so if you want to include all of your Pokémon in one thread or do separate ones for a few Pokémon, go ahead. (Try not to make top-levels for 15 different Pokémon though if possible.) No trainers allowed!! Or at least, minimal trainer interference!

That Pokemon is taking care of an egg...

Piyo blinks for a few moments as she glances down at herself. ...Piyo is an egg! Maybe they're related! This is clearly a logical thought process that makes 100% sense.

She will innocently trail along behind Toyo at a distance for a little while.

There is an egg following her.

It's a sixth Happiny-line sense, okay?

After being followed for a few seconds, Toyo turns around with a cheerful Bliss! of greeting.

Well, it's most of an egg.

And there's a Priii! coming from behind Toyo after she turns to look at Piyo.

From the looks of it, she has attracted another Togepi, this time it's one that's dragging along a bedraggled beloved Rhyhorn plushie.

Egg party! Piyo looks pretty pleased about this as she waddles up to Toyo and beams. The last set of eggs she had run into had been kind of weird! Very angry Exeggcute...

Piyo will peek around behind the Blissey and wave a little bit to the other Togepi.

Oh gosh babies. Toyo bounces happily, then bends down to offer each one a lift. It can't be easy walking around still in your shell.

Toge!!

Minuet the Togepi waves back at the other eggbaby, and then beams when Toyo bends to pick her up. Yay! Up!! In her excitement, she lets go of her toy and may make sad Togepi noises if Toyo leaves it on the ground. How demanding.

Egg babies are the best babies. Piyo will carefully climb up and perch herself on top of Toyo's thankfully large and round head, leaving space for Minuet if she wants to ride. This may not have been exactly what Toyo had in mind but she's rolling with it.

As long as it leaves a hand free to pick up that plushie. Toyo leans down with the care of someone who carries raw eggs around all day every day, keeping her head level, to retrieve Minuet's toy. Then she straightens back up and asks where the kids would like to go.

Oh! Once she sees Piyo up there, she wants to climb up too! Her ascent is a bit more haphazard than Piyo's but at least she makes it safely. And yay! Her toy gets a ride too!

Prii! It's so high up! She can see the other Pokemon! How exciting.

...Minuet isn't quite at the talking stage yet, apparently. Just the 'getting in trouble' stage.

Piyo is a little older! She will be the responsible big sister and carefully takes Minuet's hand... uh, arm-appendage and scootches over a little more so Minuet has more room.

They're on top of the world! Let's have a horsey-ride and go around and show everyone how high we are!

Toyo holds her arms out for balance and carefully speed-walks the two egg-kids around. Finally, a chance to pay all of that awkward riding on Rise's head forward to the next generation.

Uwah! Big sis is so cool! Minuet is so excited that she might be kicking her feet a little. Against Toyo's head. Oops.

At least she isn't falling yet, right?

You just stick with her and you'll go places! Piyo will pat Toyo's head a little to soothe the kicking and also to say 'go faster go faster'!

But that's not safe. There is a reason Blisseys are not known for their speed and it's because egg safety is extremely important.

Which is why they carry them into battle.

Right.

Anyway, Toyo aims for a nice open space where the kids can at least feel like they're going faster.

Whoa! This is way faster than before! Look at the scenery (slowly) blurring past!

Until a stray leaf on the wind manages to overtake them. Minuet sees it and immediately tries to get up so she can go after it. Hey! Come back, moving thing!

Life moves so much more quickly when you can take steps greater than an inch at a time! Piyo seems pretty pleased by this, too, and waves her arms cheerfully until the moment Minuet tries to stand up.

Oh, no! She's going to fall!

Piyo will reach forward and cling to Minuet's foot!

Please remain seated until the Blissey comes to a complete stop!

Well, she's got her arms out to catch the inevitable eggalanche, at least.

Whoooa! Minuet starts tipping forward, little arms wheeling in the air! Although she feels something on her foot, that might or might not be enough to stop her from falling off!

Togepi probably don't have the greatest center of balance being round eggbabies but Piyo will do her best to keep Minuet from falling!

Only to tumble off Toyo's head with her whoops

Annnnnd double-catch. With only a little bit of juggling.

Toyo puts the kiddos gently down on the ground, figuring falling off of her was probably enough excitement for one day.

Minuet sits on the grass for a moment, blinking and trying to take stock of what has happened.

...and she's trilling happily. Whee! That was fun! Do that again!

Phew! Salvation! Piyo will give Toyo a little hug before waddling over to Minuet and patting on her the head a little bit. It's OK, they can find something less round to ride on next time (sorry Toyo).
