Pokémingle 2: The Pokémingling

It's another lovely summer day! It's later in summer now and as the excitement from the previous weeks die down, another sign goes up in the local park...

Pokémingle!! Back by popular demand!

It's an open event for Pokémon of any kind! Play games, walk together, and relax in the sun! Trainers, let your Pokémon take the day off! Let's make Pokéfriends!! (^_^)

((Pokémingle returns! While the base premise is that it's a relaxing day at a park, feel free to respond with other top-level comments with what else your Pokémon might be doing around Union. No real rules about top-level threads, so if you want to include all of your Pokémon in one thread or do separate ones for a few Pokémon, go ahead. (Try not to make top-levels for 15 different Pokémon though if possible.) No trainers allowed!! Or at least, minimal trainer interference!

Apparently tightly enough to be pulled down into the cave! She flops down to the ground and rolls to look at Togepi. What a naughty eggbaby you are!

[hey, something is stopping her from going forward! Eggbaby turns and giggles when she sees Deimos. You look so weird like that!] Toge!

[Eevee might be snickering a little too, but she lays down and rolls over as well. C'mon, baby. You know you want to just stay still with them instead of running all over the park.]

[Deimos will try and entice the baby to do just that by levitating a few flowers in front of her nose and making them dance. Why? Because she's psychic and has no spoon.

Because there is no spoon.]

[...whoa, floating moving things!!] Pri!

[well, you got what you wanted, Deimos. Baby will toddle along and maybe bump against the side of your face while she reaches up and tries to catch one of the flowers.]

Vee... [that's...actually pretty convenient. Maybe she should become an Espeon.]

[Deimos doesn't mind at all, she even makes a pleased little sound and lets the eggbaby play. The flowers might float over towards Eevee though. Because...well...she shouldn't be left out of the fun!]

[they're running away! Come back! Eggbaby obediantly follows along and - oof she's plopping down onto Eevee's stomach and trying to catch the flowers again.]

Vee... [oi, Minuet. She places her forelegs on either side of the eggbaby so she doesn't topple off.]

[Deimos giggles and rolls over to lay beside Eevee, still making the flowers dance. They open and close in an alternating pattern, creating a little show for both the egg and the fluffy creature.]

Kirlia...

[aaand there she goes. Eggbaby is escaping Eevee's clutches and stepping all over the Normal type's face.

The 'vee'-ing is sounding a bit muffled, if it can be heard at all beneath Togepi's delighted giggles.]

[And in an effort to stop smothering Eevee, the flowers move up, up and over the baby. Deimos intends for it to roll over on it's back of course, but she's ready to catch the little troublemaker if it rolls even farther away...]

[hey! Come back! Eggbaby reaches up, and up, and...rolls onto her back. And promptly rolls down Eevee's side and maybe towards Deimos.]

[And is promptly caught, and lifted up a little bit. Deimos smiles faintly, but she concentrates hard, keeping the egg floating in the air, for fun of course. How will she react?]

Pri? [whoa! What's going on? It's like being held but not being held!!

...Togepi, Gardevoir does this to you twenty times a day, when she has to babysit.] Toge, toge pri!

[well, eggbaby seems completely unperturbed by the sensation and is quite happily kicking her feet and waving her arms. Whee!

Eevee stays quiet for once, though she takes the time to roll over onto her belly. There is no way she's going to disrupt Deimos' concentration and be responsible for the subsequent scrambling.]

[Slowly, Deimos lowers Togepi and settles her in between the two of them, scooting closer so she's smooshed between Kirlia and Eevee. With a pat of her hand she nudges the eggy-thing a bit.

Maybe it's time for a nap?]

[nap? What's that? Eggbaby tries to catch Deimos' hand instead! It's a game, right?]

Eeeveee, vee. Eeevee, vee vee.

[she's not the best singer, but it's a pretty good approximation of a lullaby she's heard her Trainer sing to the eggbaby.]

[She may not be...but Deimos is definitely giving Togepi a little psychic nudge. Have a rest, little one. We can play more later...a whole lot more. But you'll be to tired to have much fun if you spend your energy now...]

[Eevee wiggles her tail in front of the baby, who matches on gleefully. It's really hard to deny how fluffy it is, even for a baby dead set on playing waay past her nap time.]

Toge toge... [and baby is nuzzling into the fluffiness. Shouldn't be long now, especially if Deimos keeps up the pets.]

[Which she will...

Hush eggbaby, don't say a word, Deimos is gonna buy you a mockingbird...]

[and eggbaby's eyes slowly close! There's a teeny yawn, as she snuggles into the tail. Her breathing seems to be getting deeper too.

On the other paw, Eevee is now afraid to move. Or breathe, really.]

[And if that mockingbird don't sing, Deimos is gonna buy you a diamond ring...

Naptime for all?]

[nap time certainly sounds like a grand plan. They need to keep up their energy, right?? And it's such a nice day out...]

[Exactly. And the heat really is getting to Deimos too. She rubs the baby affectionately as her own eyes close. Maybe...just a happy Poke-snugglepile.
