Pokémingle 2: The Pokémingling

It's another lovely summer day! It's later in summer now and as the excitement from the previous weeks die down, another sign goes up in the local park...

Pokémingle!! Back by popular demand!

It's an open event for Pokémon of any kind! Play games, walk together, and relax in the sun! Trainers, let your Pokémon take the day off! Let's make Pokéfriends!! (^_^)

((Pokémingle returns! While the base premise is that it's a relaxing day at a park, feel free to respond with other top-level comments with what else your Pokémon might be doing around Union. No real rules about top-level threads, so if you want to include all of your Pokémon in one thread or do separate ones for a few Pokémon, go ahead. (Try not to make top-levels for 15 different Pokémon though if possible.) No trainers allowed!! Or at least, minimal trainer interference!

[there's a Rapidash engaged in the very serious business of eating her way through a patch of wildflowers, while a Roselia at the other end is trying to pick as many as possible for some grand decoration scheme or another. Possibly one involving flower corsages.

Meanwhile, there's an Eevee trying to solve a dilemmia. She wants a nap...but she has to keep the Togepi from wandering off. What if she kinda lays on top of baby? Would that work?

...nope. Eggbaby trills happily and wiggles even more. It's a game!]

[Well, a certain Kirlia remembers the Eevee problem-solver and the Eggbaby. And given that the growly little thing had seemed to accept her company, Deimos will just meander over, waving. Sup dude?]

[Eevee's ears twitch and she looks up at the Kirlia while still half draped over the giggling eggbaby.]

Vee! Eevee? [oh hi! You evolved! Congrats, and would you like a free eggbaby?]

[Thank you, thank you. Deimos bows slightly, a dip of the waist. She’ll pass on the eggbaby though, taking care of it probably wouldn’t fit into her busy schedule. Still, she meanders over and settles on the grass beside the pair, one hand reaching out to pat the Togepi.]

[there's a bit of a grumble. Well, taking care of a baby doesn't fit into her busy schedule either. But since the other Pokemon are busy... (more to the point, since Eevee is the newbie of the group, she gets the primary babysitting duties).

Togepi finally makes her valiant escape from Eevee's evil clutches! And immediately reaches over to grab Deimos' hand.] Pri!

[Well...that's okay. The Kirlia will allow it, and even reach out a hand to pat Togepi on the head. What do you want, little one? Do you want Aunt Eevee to walk you around the park? This, of course, sounds like:]

[Togepi waves her little arms - and subsequently, Deimos'. Your tone of voice was positive! So whatever you just said is good, right? And so it has to be exciting! Yay!

Eevee rolls over, flopped on the ground.] Veeee.

[only if Auntie Kirlia comes along, right?] Toge!

[Well, while Rapidash is chewing through that patch of wildflowers, she manages to disturb a something. There's a rustling down near her feet as a much shorter Pokemon wakes up. A pair of eyes peer up through the plant...and a little curly bit peeps up, almost like an antennae.]

Poli?

[Rapidash gives a loud snort at the sound, and then peers closer to see what has infiltrated her salad.

Roselia is using this distraction to gather even more flowers!!]

[rainsrespite]

[The infiltrator's antenna uncurls a bit more and goes to tickle Rapidash's nose as it gets closer. You are very large, whatever you are. And he is very small...but very curious. Also you smell like burning...]

[hey, get out of there! She's trying to - ah, ah...

better watch out, because Rapidash is about to sneeze! And might be shooting out a bit of flame from her mouth, oops.]

[Well that’s a surprise! The antenna retreats quickly to avoid getting singed and from the bushes, hopping merrily out with a cheerful croaking cry is…a Politoed! The little green Pokemon lands nimbly on Rapidash’s back and looks back with a burbling laugh.]

Poli! Poli-Toed-Toed!

[there's a surprised whinney! Her flames immediately flare up, even as she tries to buck off the salad intruder! What do you think you're doing, huh??]

[O-oh, it's Sunny's friend, looking just as elegant and as pretty as ever! She hasn't seen Vivace since she evolved...hopefully the Rapidash recognizes her!

Here is a pink and adorable Flaaffy, waddling up to say hello! And maybe (definitely) also to join in on the wildflower munching.]

[Vivace looks up, ears perked and fiery mane blowing gloriously in the breeze. There might be a smattering of rose petals floating by, but then again, Roselia is right there.

Oh hi! You evolved! She hasn't seen much of you since that fight (?) on the plains. Were you training hard?]

[Uwaaah, so elegant...! 'A'

Sunny has stars in her eyes but she still manages to respond readily enough! She and Makoto have been training hard, and helping their new friends, too!]

[yeah, yeah? Vivace nods. At least you don't have to babysit...

Vivace, you're making Eevee do most of the babysitting. But on the other hoof, Lulu the Roselia is now absconding with an armful of flowers she had gathered while Vivace was distracted.

The horse looks up quickly at the sudden movement. H-hay! That could've been part of her lunch!!]

[O-oh, those flowers look yummy...too bad they're gone now.

But but! Look, there are still plenty to munch on! I-if Vivace doesn't mind sharing, that is...]

[of course she doesn't mind sharing! These aren't the forbidden sort either.

Not very subtly, Vivace turns to hide a patch of burned flowers. Nothing happened there, nope. No stupid Politoed popped up or anything!]

[Eevee might or might not recognize a Lairon that gets closer to her. Remember Rocky, Martelé? He finally evolved!]

[Martelé's ears perk up, ignoring the giggly Togepi she's still half draped over as she studies the newcomer.

...Oh! It's Rocky!!] Eeevee!! [whoa! You look awesome!!]

Lairon! [He looks very happy. He evolved after a lot of hard training outside! Even after all those years of training with Lin, it wasn't until they went outside that he finally evolved]

Vee, eevee? [did you get to go anywhere cool?]

Toge! Toge priii! [the eggbaby manages to escape Martelé's clutches and starts waddling over to Rocky. Whoa, you're shiny!!]

Lairon! Laair. [I did! I explored Scorched Forest with Lin and we made a new friend! His name is Fang and he evolved too!]

[And then he looks curiously at the small Togepi, trying to not step on him or anything.]

[now that the eggbaby has decided to go investigate Rocky, Martelé gets to sit up a bit straighter. And maybe insert a bit of senpai mode into her voice.] Vee veeee, vee eevee.

[yeah! Did you find the Hot Springs in the middle?

...Martelé, you found out about those Hot Springs yourself only a week prior.]

Toge! [eggbaby is pat, pat, patting at Rocky's shiny nose. Whee!

Aaand Martelé is wondering if she should try to stop the eggbaby from bothering Rocky too much. Hmmm.]
