Pokémingle 2: The Pokémingling

It's another lovely summer day! It's later in summer now and as the excitement from the previous weeks die down, another sign goes up in the local park...

Pokémingle!! Back by popular demand!

It's an open event for Pokémon of any kind! Play games, walk together, and relax in the sun! Trainers, let your Pokémon take the day off! Let's make Pokéfriends!! (^_^)

((Pokémingle returns! While the base premise is that it's a relaxing day at a park, feel free to respond with other top-level comments with what else your Pokémon might be doing around Union. No real rules about top-level threads, so if you want to include all of your Pokémon in one thread or do separate ones for a few Pokémon, go ahead. (Try not to make top-levels for 15 different Pokémon though if possible.) No trainers allowed!! Or at least, minimal trainer interference!

[there's a surprised whinney! Her flames immediately flare up, even as she tries to buck off the salad intruder! What do you think you're doing, huh??]

[Oh~! That's hot! Wow!!! Politoed hops off and lands off to one side, gurgling another laugh. Hahaha! You're not going to scare him with a little fire and some prancing!]

[she looks mildly affronted. Prancing? She snorts, keeping a large eye on the Politoed. She could've kicked you to the moon if she wanted!!]

[The little smartass hops again, out in front of Rapidash and wiggles his tongue! Try it! He's Politoedtastic!]

[and she's a Rapidasher!! She quickly wheels about and lashes out with her back hooves. It...might have been easier to aim had he been a bigger Pokemon, but take that anyway!!]

[Well, given how small he is...and how quick? The hooves are much easier to roll away from. He hops up, mouth open in a happy smile.

He likes this game, Rapidash! You're awesome, but gosh so touchy!]

Poli-Poli!

[Rapidash flares! Things are certainly heating up...

And whoops, the flower field may be slightly on fire. The horse doesn't seem to notice, however.]

[Uh-oh! Your lunch is on fire!! Danger danger!!!

Politoed opens his mouth and out pours a spray of bubbles, a shower falling all around them to put it out.

Dude, seriously! Wasn't there a Roselia in there? Aren't they flammable?!]

[oh. Dang it. Rapidash turns and blinks at the flames. Her stance becomes way less combative. Her Trainer probably wouldn't have approved of her setting the park on fire. Her bad...sorry.

And there's a disgruntled snort as she feels the bubbles. Fine, so it was sort of necessary, but that doesn't mean she has to like it.

Politoed might find himself with a Roselia quietly edging behind him. There's waaay less fire over here, at least.]

[Politoed keeps spraying down the fire and gives Roselia a little nod.

Rapidash, bro. Chill. He's just playing a game! All he did was tickle your nose a bit when you tried to eat him!]

[Rapidash snorts and steps out of the icky water. At least nothing else is catching on fire.

Oh yeah? Well, she bets you would've tasted terrible anyway.

Roselia just gives Politoed a smile.]

Rose, rose! [it's okay! Rapidash here is actually pretty cool as long as you don't get in the way of her food!]

[Oh probably. And you'd have gotten a mouthful of water along with him!

He reaches out and pats Roselia on her flower...shoulder...thing.

She seems okay, just...she tried to eat him! Next time he'll have to make it rain on you or something to get your attention.]

[Rapidash harumphs and turns her back to him, totally intent on finding a less froggy infested patch of flowers to graze on.]

Selia! [it's okay! She has never seen Rapidash eat another Pokemon!]

[He doesn't care, because Roselia seems much cooler anyway. In fact, he may just wiggle a froggy tongue at Rapidash's backside. Because.

Nodding once more the little troublemaker turns to the plant. He knows, it was all just a game. That one just needs to loosen up, man. You gotta get down with the Toed.]

Rose! [and she's offering Politoed one of the prettier flowers she had picked. It's okay! Give her a bit and she'll be friends with you too. Besides, it's much too nice of a day to be a grouchy pony.]

[Right right, then. He'll take the flower and hop over to Rapidash and offer it to her. It's not really an apology because he totes did nothing wrong, but...it is too nice a day to be grumpy!]

Poli?

[Rapidash blinks at the sudden offering. Oh.

Well, then. She bends down and delicately grasps it in her teeth before chewing on it contemplatively. It's...a pretty good one.

And she finally deflates the rest of the way when she spots Roselia looking so happy at the acceptance of the gift. Alright, so maybe she's sort of sorry for trying to kick you.]

[Good, not kicking is good. He's not sorry he bubbled at you, and in fact sort of gurgles again, but he can't really help it. That's just a part of being a Politoed.

You're alright though, just...don't go biting at curly things that are green. They may be his bros.]

[...huff. Rapidash can feel annoyance swelling up again. Well, maybe you guys shouldn't blend in so well.

And Roselia is sidling up to the two Pokemon.] Rose, rose. Selia!

[let's start off on a better foot this time! Roselia turns to Politoed and asks what he likes to do for fun.]

[Politoed grins at the question.

He likes swimming, of course. And he's pretty fond of exploring new places. That's been his whole life the last couple of months. Training's pretty okay too, he likes a good fight as much as anyone!]

[Roselia beams! She likes swimming too! Even if her version of 'swimming' mostly consists of floating around in an inner tube. Do you hang out by that huuuuge pool in the Habitat place?

Rapidash just rolls her eyes. Why would any 'mon want to actually step into water is beyond her.]

[Yep, yep! Though...he doesn't get too much anymore since he's always out and about.]
