Who: Everyone!
Where: The newly discovered island
What: After recent events, the people of Union could use a bit of R&R. What better place than a tropical island?
Warnings: Drinks with little umbrellas in them, swimsuits, idek



An island paradise, discovered just off the southern coast, less than a day's travel from the city. A strong enough Pokemon could easily carry their partner and others out there. It was hard to say just who sent the original message, but pictures surfaced, with the tagline "Don't you wish you were here," came over the warp bands' feeds, and, like Venomoths to the flame, people began clamoring toward this new found tropical get-away. Those who wanted to go would find it easy enough--with so many people making their way to investigate, for whatever reason they claimed (but let's be honest, it was probably the beach), one could just hitch a ride.

The island itself appeared untouched by human contact. The Pokemon were strange and different compared to the fare immediately around Union. A warm breeze blew through palm trees, carrying the scent of hibiscus flowers. The water, blue as the summer sky, was warm and inviting.

This truly was a paradise.

After being told she wasn't allowed to sunbathe the way she really wanted to, Imogen decided to go for a hike. Still dressed for the idea of lazing in the sun, she had on an orange top with a white bottom, with a pink pair of shoes to just be able to walk and climb about safely. You know, just in case.

It was an unexplored tropical island, what's the worst that happens if you travel off on your own?

[The forests of the island are warm, the sun cracking though the leaves of the tress leaving patterns along the ground -- beautiful. The Pokemon here are accustomed to what condition lie beyond the beaten path.

*Imogen dares many things!*

*Imogen happily wanders deeper into the unbeaten trails on the island looking to just see what's out there. No reason to head back yet!*

[Chester hadn't really planned on coming out here with everyone, but now that he was he was... kind of sad. It was sunny and warm and nice out and all he could think about was how his little sister would have loved seeing it. He decides to stray from their group, seeing a lot of tropical flowers and fruit up further on the shore near the jungle. Maybe he'd pick some to bring to her grave. Yeah, that sounded nice. Trying not to think to hard on it, he trudged up the sand with his Yanma, Hayate, buzzing around above him. Of course, as always, Chester has his bow and arrow slung across his back.]

[There's a rustle in the brush as Chester gets the distinct feeling that he's being watched]

That's weird.

[He looks up at Hayate (his Yanma) circling above him.]

Do you see anything around?

[The Pokemon just buzzes in response, not sounding alarmed... so Chester presses onward...]

The beach was gorgeous as anything, no doubt about that. And Feliks had very much enjoyed soaking up a little sun, building elaborate sandcastles, drinking fruity drinks, and taking his Dratini swimming...

But there were kind of a lot of people on the beach, weren't there? He could wear a little thin on socializing with new people, even when he hadn't already had an extremely overstimulating couple of days.

After a while, he found himself wandering away from the group, down along the water's edge, up into the cliffs, then into the woods, to recover from over-socialization a little... Or see if he found something cool! Either way was fine with him.

[As he traveled through the woods, Feliks would hear a strange sound in the distance. Voices, all chant in unison, almost melodically. It seems to be coming from the east.]

[Now, what could that be? He wonders if there are people here... It seems like a crazy idea, but a lot of weird stuff has been happening lately!]

[Anyway, he takes a second with the Warp Band to call Jadwiga to his side and continues on towards the mysterious noises.]

[While she's relaxing on the beach, Squid Girl decides to take her Good Rod out for a spin. She's found a nice little rock formation on the beach to sit on while she waits for a bite while her Pokemon play around in the nearby water, watched over by her Gyarados just in case she pulls up something nasty.]

[Warm sun, cool waves. What more is there to ask for?

The fish of the sea might throw in 'not having a Gyarados within 10 feet of us' so for a baffling long period of time, Squid Girl might find it a bit difficult to get a bite.

Maybe if she casts out a little further?]

[Oh, fine.

Spoilsports.

But it isn't as if her tentacles aren't fully capable of casting out almost as far as the eye can see, so she grips the rod with two of them and flings the line out to the limit of its length!]

The nudist was relaxing quietly on a stretch of rock that interspersed the sand.

His Pidgey was several feet away, preening. Frowning at it a moment, he flopped on his back, and the Flying Type immediately came to rest on his stomach. Instead of swatting it away, he reached, moving his fingers along the soft feathers on it back and it cooed in response.

His Charmander meanwhile was nowhere in sight, but quickly came running up, poking Red and getting him to look up at the small lizard. 'Abby' Pointed off into the groves of the forest, and Red moved Nike off to his side as he sat up. "Yeah?" While he didn't understand his Pokémon enough to actually converse, he knew that his Charmander wanted Red to investigate something, and that was certainly enough for him.

He looked down to Nike and smiled, "Hey, keep an eye out for trouble but hang back okay?" The Pidgey resumed grooming, and Red decided that was a yes; it was the reason he was in the nude after all. Nodding to Abby, the two started off for what the Charmander had brought him for.

[A giant pair of jaws emerges from the brush attempting to bite Red in half!]

Suddenly, this was so much less fun. Red unceremoniously kicks Abby out of the way for it's safety and then dives, feeling the teeth much more than he would have liked as he feels a sharp pain in his foot, it's been cut open and worse, he kicked Abby the other way so now it's between him and his Pokémon. Rolling and moving up to his knee, he's then trying to get his bearings on just what he's dealing with.

Erwin knows how to have fun -- no, really, he does, stop laughing! -- and so he was talked into coming along with his not-boyfriend comrade, Levi. He even put on sunscreen and some ridiculous floral-patterned shirt. See? Having fun!

But even the pleasure of sunbathing has grown old, so Erwin's set out to explore the island for the glory of manki-- erm.

That is.

While Erwin is on his fun adventure, further up into the tropical jungle he'll begin to feel soft vibrations on the ground like something very big is walking around nearby. There's big footprints near the edge of the path, leading off the path into the cluster of trees. Luckily whatever it is made a nice path to follow!

What sort of self-respecting Ranger would Erwin be if he didn't investigate these vibrations and footprints? A non-self-respecting one, that's what kind. So, crouching a little to keep from being immediately detected, ready to call Gunsmoke on the Warp Band if needed, he'll creep through the underbrush, as silently as possible.

Well, you can't spend all day trying not to stare at one of your best friends in a bathing suit anyway, right? Or suspiciously eyeing the boy who is watching your ex fiancé a bit too closely. So to clear his head - and to get some time away from being mercilessly teased by Yuui - Fai detours away from the beach.

And well, there is an ulterior motive to it. After all, the climate here is quite different from what he's used to, so it would make sense if there are different kinds of pokémon here, as well. Babycakes seems quite at home, flitting around the trees, and Woolly seems to have discovered some kind of fruit that he likes.

It seems like a perfect place to study pokémon in their natural habitat, if nothing else.

[As Fai and company travel through this tropical paradise, they come across a bit of spongy ground. It appears as if the island must have had some significant amount of rainfall recently. More interesting still is that there appears to be something sticking out of the ground there. Were those a few blades of bright blue grass?]

Well while he was here Jason may as well see what kind of Pokemon were on the island. Since it was so unexplored he had thought it best if he take someone with him...besides his pokemon anyway. Jason had Bolt with him, but it wouldn't hurt to have some other people along and so he'd found Imogen hanging around and decided to drag her out into the wilderness with him.

He's apparently more cautious than you would think given his previous encounters.

"Thanks for coming along Imogen."

Imogen was still in her bikini, and her only partner along for the ride was Brighteyes. Humming to herself as she let the rookie ranger lead, she's a lot more careful where she steps when she can see better. So she has to let him take charge.

Besides, his mom would get mad at her if she, you know, got all coddly on him.

"No problem, exploring on your own can get boring. And I need to stay out of the sun a little while."

Even Hiroshi can only read for so long, and eventually he decides to set out to explore the island a little more. As usual, Takuro is with him, with Spur sitting on his head almost like a hair piece.

He just hoped he could handle whatever he ran into out here.

From up in the trees, Hiroshi is being watched! After Hiroshi has explored for a while, something will throw a coconut at his head.
