Where: The newly discovered island
What: After recent events, the people of Union could use a bit of R&R. What better place than a tropical island?
Warnings: Drinks with little umbrellas in them, swimsuits, idek



An island paradise, discovered just off the southern coast, less than a day's travel from the city. A strong enough Pokemon could easily carry their partner and others out there. It was hard to say just who sent the original message, but pictures surfaced, with the tagline "Don't you wish you were here," came over the warp bands' feeds, and, like Venomoths to the flame, people began clamoring toward this new found tropical get-away. Those who wanted to go would find it easy enough--with so many people making their way to investigate, for whatever reason they claimed (but let's be honest, it was probably the beach), one could just hitch a ride.

The island itself appeared untouched by human contact. The Pokemon were strange and different compared to the fare immediately around Union. A warm breeze blew through palm trees, carrying the scent of hibiscus flowers. The water, blue as the summer sky, was warm and inviting.

This truly was a paradise.

[After his bought with a Psychic attack, Chester knows what those glowing eyes mean and he shouts again,]

Don't look at its face! It'll get in your head!

[the drowsiness is so sudden. Eren feels his legs wobble underneath him. But the benefit of being a Shifter means he knows what's going on, he knows what's happening here. Hypnosis. Eren snarls and closes his eyes, shaking his head to dispel the sleepiness. If he falls asleep now, they'll both be done for!

Eren looks at the Exeggutor's feet instead of at their faces and flaps both wings, unleashing twin Air Cutter attacks on the pokémon in an attempt to clear a path]

[The air cutters slam into the Exeggutor. Suddenly fearful, they back away slowly, at first, before running away]

[Chester panted hard, looking up at Eren with one eye winced in pain.]

Thanks... I probably would have been able to run to the beach if their heads didn't... explode?

I'm glad you heard though...

[stahlflugel]

[Eren hisses at the fleeing exeggutors, firing off a few more, smaller air cutters, just to show them he means business. Once they're out of sight, he shifts back to human form and offers Chester a hand up and a shoulder to lean on]

It's actually the explosions that I heard. C'mon, let's get you to the shore and we'll find someone to patch you up.

[While Eren is saying this, Chester will see a wild Panpour approach tentatively. It looks at him for a moment, before applying some herbs to his wounds. They sting, but the overall pain seems to reduce.]

Oh, thanks.

[He starts to heave himself up, before blinking down at the Pokemon in question and nearly kicks it out of reflex. He's had a bad day, all right?]

Huh...? Hey! What're you doing...?

[When the pain starts to recede a little he looks less annoyed and more questioning.]

[The Panpour looks at Chester questioningly, before fussing with some of the herb dressings in a very motherly fashion]

Ah... a monkey? [Eren pauses, staying still but still supporting Chester so the little pokémon can work. He blinks and speaks to the pokémon]

{Hey, I know you're trying to help, but can you wait until we get back to the beach? It's dangerous for us to stay in the jungle. I don't want those weird tree guys coming back.}

You can speak like a Pokemon...? Well I guess it makes sense for a Shifter. I don't know much about that.

[Chester definitely appreciates the Panpour's mothering, but Eren is right. He lets the other boy help him limp out of the forest, wondering if the Panpour will tag along.]

[The Panpour does indeed tag along, following closely with a concerned expression on its face]

Ah, well... yeah. It just comes natural to me. It's a shifter thing.

[Eren assists Chester to the beach, finding him a nice big driftwood log to sit on. He gives the panpour a small smile] {Ok, now go ahead and do your thing, little guy.} I'm going to run back to my stuff to grab my first aid kit. I'll be right back!

[and down the beach he goes]

That's cool. I don't have anything like that...

[He sits down heavily, wincing as he stretches his leg out to be tended to.]

I don't think it's broken, at least.
