Who: Everyone!
Where: The newly discovered island
What: After recent events, the people of Union could use a bit of R&R. What better place than a tropical island?

An island paradise, discovered just off the southern coast, less than a day's travel from the city. A strong enough Pokemon could easily carry their partner and others out there. It was hard to say just who sent the original message, but pictures surfaced, with the tagline "Don't you wish you were here," came over the warp bands' feeds, and, like Venomoths to the flame, people began clamoring toward this new found tropical get-away. Those who wanted to go would find it easy enough--with so many people making their way to investigate, for whatever reason they claimed (but let's be honest, it was probably the beach), one could just hitch a ride.

The island itself appeared untouched by human contact. The Pokemon were strange and different compared to the fare immediately around Union. A warm breeze blew through palm trees, carrying the scent of hibiscus flowers. The water, blue as the summer sky, was warm and inviting.

This truly was a paradise.

Here it is!

[And she yanks the line home with all her might! Or at least enough to get whatever it is closer. Gary the Gyarados has moved off to the side for the time being so as not to terrify whatever she hauls in into a coma.]

[Squid Girl pulls so hard that the thing at the end of the rod flies up into the air!! It seems... quite light!

Up in the sky, a small creature can be heard squeaking in despair before it comes plummeting back down.

A wild Horsea has appeared!]

...What, that's it?

[She was expecting something... bigger. Especially after the Gyarados. Oh well.]

Heeeeeeeey!

[Squid Girl stands up and waves her hands in the air, leaning over to look down at the Horsea.]

[Horsea slowly bobs up to the top of the water with tiny little swirls in its eyes. Alas. Bury it somewhere where the sun shone bright and the breeze smelt of fresh kelp.]

Hey! C'mon, wake up already!

[She snakes two of her tentacles down to lightly shake the poor traumatized thing back and forth, trying to snap it out of its confusion.]

[Horsea will resuscitate! Squid Girl has given it the breath of life! For her troubles, she gets a spray of ink in the face as it suddenly revives.]

Oh, so that's how you're gonna be, huh?

[Two can play at that game! Have a blast of ink in return, then!]

[Horsea has fainted! Better luck next time.

...OK well at some point before the entire ocean gets coated black, the Horsea will dive underneath the waves.]

Hey, wait!

[Tossing her precious fishing pole to Drowny to look after, Squid Girl dives in after the Horsea.]

[Horsea is still there. It's just waiting for the big meanie to go away.]

Big meanie...? You mean Gary?

[Yooooooooou! Horsea looks disgruntled. First you toss it in the air then you shoot ink at it. Jerk.]

You started the ink thing!

[You pulled it out of the ocean first! It was self-defense.]

I kinda thought you'd be a squiddle bigger...

[Following up injury with insult, that's how it is. She shouldn't be pulling anything out of the ocean anyway gosh.]

Hey, I used to live here too, y'know! But you'll never get big and strong like me if you don't get out and see the world!

[...What, is she going to teach it how to fly?]

You gotta talk to Gary to learn that. But I can help you with your ink technique.

[Horsea still looks vaguely dubious. If she wanted to make friends, she could just ask nicely, you know.]

You know... if you want to.

[Glancing away, she extends a tentacle toward it. Fin shake?]

[..............Maybe it can teach her to make friends without trying to beat them up in exchange.

Squid Girl has bonded with Horsea! It is Level 22 and the rest of its stats are up to you.]
