You are still welcome to include a section for bonding with wild Pokémon as a part of another entry or a log, but we encourage isolated wild Pokémon threads to go here to prevent flooding of the main comm with entries specifically geared to only cover wild Pokémon threads.

[ Once Kanji and his Houndour arrived at the rock the wind howls, the snow swirls, and a silhouette can be seen not far from where they're standing. It's not big but just barely one can make out that it is looking in their direction. ]

Hey. D'you see that, Rust?

[Is he seeing things clearly? It's hard to make anything out in this weather... damn it. Maybe this wasn't the best idea he's ever had.

There's one thing he's sure of, as the two move closer to get a clear look. Whatever the heck that is? Totally unfamiliar.]

[ The silhouette doesn't move as the two move slowly. It stands still and when they get close enough to see it clearly it has its arms folded and looking at the two. It seems to be judging what you two are and why you are here. But it doesn't look a bit afraid or even hostile at this point. ]

[Damn. Okay, that's definitely new to him - his heart's in his mouth as he steps closer. Okay. Just going to see, just going to make sure. Heck, he can probably get back down the mountain, draw it, ask people what it is... someone's got to know, right?

... but the fact it's not attacking them? That's an improvement on some of the things he's run into up here. He can't leave just yet.]

[ Hm. So these two aren't running or leaving. Well that's one thing. It starts tapping its foot, almost as if its impatient and wants Kanji or Rust to say something. ]

Uh, hey.

[Kanji lifts his hands in the air. See, not armed? ... Well, technically, that's a lie, and it's not like the thing (whatever it is) would recognise the human gesture anyway - gah, he can't think straight!
Meeting an undiscovered Pokémon. Here. Him.]

I... ain't seen one of you before. Hi.

[ The Pokemon moves a little closer. It's never seen one of you before either. What brings you up here to this chilly mountain. ]

[Crap, it can't even understand a word he's saying - why is he talking? Just to keep its interest? What's the...

...No.

Could he? Should he?

He lowers his hands, and by touch alone, starts to fiddle with his warp band, his eyes still locked on the unfamiliar Pokémon.]

[ The Pokemon gives him an uncertain look. What are you doing now? It unfolds its arms but keeps its claws in. It's not going to go hostile. Yet. ]

[A couple of moments' fidgeting later, and - ah. There we go.

He raises his hand again - it's active. He doesn't know if he stands a chance, he knows he's not good at words, but this thing hasn't tried to fight him...]

Uh. H-hello again. I guess you're wonderin' about us, huh?

[ The Pokemon quirks an eyebrow. ]

{ Yea, that's right. I've never seen anyone like you before. }

[Guess confirmed. His heart's beating fit to explode. This is ... okay, calm, Kanji, you can do this...]

I'm what's called a 'human'. She's a Houndour. We come from ... uh. Beyond the mountains.

{ I see. I'm a Sneasel. And so what is a human and Houndour like you doing here in the mountains if you are from beyond. )

[ May or may not be judging you right now ]

[Crap, how to answer this?]

We wanted to see what's out here. Wanted a challenge...

[The Houndour chips in her own acknowledgement. Come on! This is all new! All wonderful! They had to try, didn't they?]

[ Sneasel seems to be mulling over those words. ]

{You're lucky y' didn't run into any other of my kind. They're not a very docile group, t' say the least. }

[That's not good. But he's got to ask.]

So ... how come you ain't fighting us?

[ Sneasel scoffs ]

{ Why be the instigator? I'm not like th' rest of them. I'm not gonna get myself in a fight if I don't have to. }

Heh. I don't blame ya.

[Kanji gives a slight smile.]

You don't wanna cause trouble. You just wanna get by. Is that it?

[ A nod ]

{ Yeah, that's right. }

[He pauses for a moment, thinking. Yeah. He can understand that, to say the least, for all the trouble he's gotten himself into over time.

... Well. Now seems as good a time to drop the question as ever.]

Tell you what. Why don't you come with me? Get away from it all? All the worries, everything they're getting up to...

[ The question catches Sneasel by surprise. But it considers the offer for a moment. Yeah, it kind of sounds like a good deal. Get away from all this icy terrain that it has seen every day since its birth.

So it eventually nods. ]

{ Gettin' away from all this ice? Sounds like a plan. }

[An ice resident that doesn't like the ice? He's surprised. But who's he to call someone's tastes weird? He nods and holds out his hand.]

I can't promise that there ain't gonna be trouble. And I can't promise you that you'll never have to fight. But I'm always gonna have your back, and everyone else on the team is too. And you're gonna get to see things that're - man. So much different than everything around here...

Come on. Let's go.

[ Ice is cool (literally) but going out and seeing the world? Cooler (not so literally).

Sneasel goes over and takes the hand. ]
