The vast wilderness beckons! Beginning January 25th, 2014, all wild Pokémon threads that aren't incorporated as part of another post should go here. You are still welcome to include a section for bonding with wild Pokémon as a part of another entry or a log, but we encourage isolated wild Pokémon threads to go here to prevent flooding of the main comm with entries specifically geared to only cover wild Pokémon threads.

Please respond to the correct Week if possible for organizational purposes.

Mawile tries to hide its beginnings of... well, not affection as such, perhaps approval is a better word? If anyone asks, it wants to come along because there's food. Yep. And because Mandrake's fear of it makes it feel a little proud of itself.]

[Flynn blinks once, not really expecting that.]

[It looks like you could use some help. And I pay my debts.

Plus, it doesn't know how to get home to the mountains, but it'll keep quiet about that. Not like the mountains were much of a home to return to, anyway.]

[After deeming they had been out of the city long enough, Flynn headed on back to the city.]

[On his way back, closer to Union (but still far enough from the city itself), Flynn will notice something you don't usually see out in the sunlight.

A wild Drifloon appeared!

It hasn't noticed Flynn yet - it looks, in fact, too frantic and lost to do that. It's wandering around, half-carried by wind, in no particular direction.

What will you do?]

[This seems a little familiar, and judging from the sympathetic expression on Mandrake's face he thought the same.]

Are you lost?

[The Drifloon is startled by Flynn, and raises its stringy arms and tries to puff up a little to look more threatening-- before deflating again when it realizes Flynn isn't being threatening.

... Yes.

This is about the most miserable balloon Flynn will ever see.]

[The misery isn't lost on him and it does affect him a little. He's been meeting a lot of displaced Pokemon.]

Do you remember how you got here?

[Drifloon wavers a little - it's thinking. It's been wandering around for a while now... But looks like it does remember something. It does remember the Mausoleum and other ghosts, and then... Oh yeah, that's right.

... People came and I followed them. And then I was here.

What it actually means is that when Mausoleum was discovered, it was one of the Pokemon to get out. And, fascinated with the outside world, it got a little bit too far away from home.]

I see. And you don't know how to get back, is that it?

[Yes.

This Drifloon can be just summed up as ":(".

After a second of thought, it perks up.

I could, but if I don't know where it is you came from I won't be able to.

[Drifloon waves its arms a little.

There was... a lot of other ghosts?

It has no idea what the Mausoleum is called by the humans, sorry Flynn.]

[That... was something. He thinks for a moment; where would there be a lot of ghosts?]

Hmm...

[After a few moments he shakes his head. No, that still wasn't enough to give him an idea.]

[... Oh. So we're not going home then?

Drifloon doesn't actually say that, but... it's readable in the atmosphere. But Drifloon tries its best to think back to home and remember anything else that could be of importance. Really, how does one describe home? It just felt right and there were others like it, and some not like it, but still similar.

It was a big place... And everyone stayed inside for a long time, but then the humans came, and we could go outside.

[Maybe he could ask some of the others in Union if they could pin-down the actual location from the Drifloon's description.]

[Drifloon hovers there, a little lost and still as miserable. Do we go home now? Do we go somewhere else now? Are you going to leave it here?]

I could try asking around and see if anyone knows of the place you have described. You would have to come with me, however.

[Hooray! Drifloon cheers up and drifts over to Flynn.
