The vast wilderness beckons! Beginning January 25th, 2014, all wild Pokémon threads that aren't incorporated as part of another post should go here. You are still welcome to include a section for bonding with wild Pokémon as a part of another entry or a log, but we encourage isolated wild Pokémon threads to go here to prevent flooding of the main comm with entries specifically geared to only cover wild Pokémon threads.

Please respond to the correct Week if possible for organizational purposes.

[Ashlynn's head whips to the side at the odd sound. Was that a survivor perhaps?

Her direction changes and she heads toward it, hammer slung over her shoulder in case she needed to remove anything from her path quickly.]

Is someone there? I'm here to help anyone trapped.

[There is no response....

Save for another tink.

The topmost rock on a pile nearby suddenly comes loose and rolls away.]

[Ashlynn jumps at the sight of the rock falling, half expecting the walls to come down on her right then and there. A moment of heavy breathing passed before she set her hammer down and hurried to the pile to begin pulling more of the rocks away.]

Hold on! I'm here!

I really hope someone's under there and I'm not talking to myself.

[Well. It's not exactly a someone, but the first thing Ashlynn will uncover is a dull bronze mirror vaguely reflecting her image off its surface.

This might be disappointing until it opens its eyes and floats up into the air.

A wild Bronzor has appeared!

It seems relatively unharmed thanks to its Steel typing but being buried underneath a ton of rock sure was a pain.]

[Ashlynn gave a cheerful clap of relief at the sight of it.]

You're okay! That's wonderful! Do you need help getting to the surface?

[Bronzor seems to consider this question for a moment or two before it twirls about in midair once or twice.

Nope it was good.

With that it circles around Ashlynn's head once or twice before zipping away farewell sweet heroine may the gods of karma smile kindly upon you. Maybe we will meet again in another life.

Ten seconds later it serenely returns to Ashlynn without any trace of embarrassment wow all the paths were totally messed up can you believe this?]

[Ashlynn waved to it as it departed and waved to it as it returned. She picked her hammer back up and slung it over her shoulder.]

I can't tell if you just like me or if you can't figure out how to get out. Can you talk at all? I can sort of understand pokemon when the speak. Sometimes.

[She gave a self-depreciating shrug.]

Oh! But I know what will let me talk to you. Here. Hold still.

[The hammer went back to the ground and she brought her warp band up to aim at the Bronzor.]

[Bronzor makes some vague tinkling noises but otherwise seems content to be silent. When the light from the Warp Band strikes it, it is remarkably stoic and will politely adjust its body so the light doesn't reflect right back at Ashlynn.

It has no idea where anything is anymore. Quiet confusion will be its primary emotion.]

[Ashlynn sent back the feeling of 'understanding' and then a bit of inquisitive thoughts. Curiosity about the pokemon that came out as images of it traveling alone in the dark of the old city and then traveling with her to the upper world. Which did it want? To stay or go?]

[It would very much like to be out above ground! For the first time, Bronzor seems agitated and clearly expresses as such.

She doesn't understand. They can't stay here. It is quite nice of her to rescue it from the rocks but they need to leave posthaste.]

[That surprised her. She was happy to take it above ground. But she was also here to rescue anyone else trapped and would have to come back. Why did they need to leave right away?

Ashlynn did retrieve her hammer with her free hand as she sent that back.]

[Bronzor expresses slight confusion.

Does she really think the quakes are just going to stop? Being here was incredibly dangerous at the moment!]

[Ashlynn laughed. Was that it's only worry? She thought for a moment it was something more. She sent back assurance that they'd be safe and started off for the exit, waving it along.

She'd get it out and she'd show it the habitat where it'd be safe until the earthquakes stopped.]

[The Bronzor makes some more vague tinkling noises. It doesn't think she quite understood its meaning...

But! It follows along.

Ashlynn has bonded with Bronzor! It will be Level 7 but the rest of its stats are up to your discretion! Bronzor will decide that it wants to stick around after Ashlynn leads it to the surface, being concerned that she'll head back down.]
