Bright sun, warm sands, rolling waves, the tropical island was the place to be. With the new port making travel out much easier, the island was seeing a surge in tourism. Something about fighting giant fiery gods must have made people eager to jump into the water and relax.

For now, Asemu was content to simply lay on the beach and soak up rays. The warm sun mingling with the gentle sea breeze and the sound of the crashing waves was very relaxing, so it was all he felt like doing at the moment. For once, he also had his shirt off and no book, no umbrella. Just a towel.

Estelle is, suffice to say, not just soaking up the sun. If she doesn't move around, she gets bored. Getting bored is the worst possible thing in the world. So, at some point, she grabbed a volley ball and started playing around with it. So now, she knocks it up into the air, and then with a proud yell, she spikes it.

She aims at the sand, but that isn't where the volleyball flies.

Instead, it goes hurtling right towards Asemu's face. Estelle sees where it's going about two seconds before it does; she calls out her apology preemptively. "Oh crap!" she yells. "I'm sorry!"

And then the ball comes flying in like a rocket.

Estelle pulls the laces on her shoes -- the newest Stregas, which some enterprising Calderan merchant had somehow gotten to Union, and just in time for her to buy! -- tight with a yank, and then deftly ties the laces. After that, the girl stands up to her full height, and claps her hands together twice to get the dust off of them.

She has a one piece swimsuit and shoes on, because new shoes are the best thing that mankind has ever invented. She isn't letting a beach take the pleasure of breaking those shoes in away from her.

"All right!" she says, loudly, to everyone and no one at once. "Let's do the beach thing!"

[Lenna is wearing an orange swimsuit with a pink shawl covering her shoulders and a towel half-wrapped around her waist. She's clearly a little shy about being out in front of so many people in an outfit like this, clasping the shawl around the front of her body to try to cover herself up more.

Once she makes her way toward the water's edge, though, she seems to loosen up. There's a soft and very serene smile on her face as she slips off her sandals, leaving them behind in the sand and striding barefoot into the water. Closing her eyes and tilting her head back, she runs a hand through her hair as she enjoys the warm sea breeze.]

[There is a light splash next to Lenna as a white ball lands in the water beside her. Not too long after, a blond (who is significantly less worried about modesty) runs toward the water's edge, looking to see where it went.]

[Squid Girl is busy at work building... well... something. In the sand.]

This is gonna be the best sand castle ever!

[Up comes Estelle. She looks down at the sand "castle" and stares at it for a long, long time. She taps a finger against her cheek. Then she makes a face. It looks so... weird...]

What's that supposed to be?

That's... a castle?

[Well, it's a very Squid Girl-esque structure, anyway.]

Are there actually any rooms or is it mostly tentacle...?

It looks 'squiddy'.

[Rei intoned in a completely deadpan tone, as if the Squid Girl style pun were completely natural for him. He pushed up his glasses for dramatic emphasis.]

[ The Fabra's don't waste a single cent when it comes to the comfort of their vacation homes. Inviting any member of their family and friends to come and visit the lovely town house along the beach. Of course, the one thing the Fabre's can't buy is the beach space...

Asch, Luke, and anyone else that would like to join can find themselves along the shore with their very own watermelon. It's summer and that means enjoying the foods that come with the heated weather. Might as well before the season's over, the crisp feeling of warm sand will soon be damp with fall racing in, the warm breeze filled with blowing chills, can't be summer forever...

One thing the twins have never done over any summer would be smashing a watermelon. Asch had been volunteered, though he's positive this has to be the stupidest thing he's done all year... blindfolded as he stood in front of this damn melon. Egg him on? Smash the damn thing for him? Whatever trips your fancy~

Have your water Pokemon drench everyone with water, I don't care. This mun likes seeing Asch pissed. ]

[Cordelia is, of course, there as well. Not as big on beach wear, she is instead in a pair of loose-legged shorts and a baggy tunic-like shirt, red hair tied up in a ponytail. She didn't quite understand the whole appeal to smashing a watermelon on the beach--wouldn't it get all sandy? They could just slice it open...

Lucario, however, dressed in swim trunks, was ready to see this thing obliterated. In fact, Asch wasn't moving fast enough. If he didn't whack that thing soon, Lucario was going to hit it for him.]

[Luke isn't at all the kind of person to wait, he hates it even. He also hates that Asch always got picked to do things first. So while Asch is pussyfooting around, Luke will jump in with his own bat and thwack it himself. Melon sprayed everywhere, right in Asch's face, and Luke grinned, eyes widening at the perfectly crisp pink melon inside.]

That's how it's done!

[... Yeah, have fun with that, Asch, Natalia's going to be over here a reasonable distance away with a drink.]

... So are you going to hit the thing or will you have us waiting for it until sundown? [For once, Draco's not present on Natalia's person, rather, the Dratini is fretfully watching over a Shinx that can't seem to sit still for a moment.]

[Avoiding a bit of the beach rush, Nozomi can be found by one of the tide pools, wearing a light purple beach dress, a light blue suit barely visible underneath it.]

[Jinxie wanders over at some point, clad in a dark pink one piece bathing suit and wearing a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses. This one sunburns like no one's business, so she's trying to be as careful as she can.]

Hi, Nozomi.

[Estelle's had a fill of playing around with a beach ball, so now she's walking over to the tide pool to just soak and chill out. She's carrying her super shiny, bright red, brand new shoes. And a plain, striped, red and white one-piece swimsuit. She spots Nozomi and smiles, waving at her.]

Hey!

[She plops down, feet going into the tide pool.]

Oooohhhh, that feels good. Nice and cool!

Yuuna's more than happy to lay out on the beach, taking the time for a little relaxation from the road. In a bright yellow bikini she's flopped out on a towel not far from the tide pools, resting in the shade provided by her newly evolved Tyranitar, making tanning impossible.

Now, the big lug just doesn't seem to want to be more than fifteen feet away at all times. So even when she heads out for a swim in the water...he follows, his head visibly above the waves even as Yuuna gets further out like some freaky monster out of a kaiju story. Skreeonk!

The Tyranitar really is a terrifying and awesome sight to behold. Most sane parties would extend a respectful distance to the pokemon....but, not a certain inquisitive young Ralts. The tiny white pokemon with green hair fearlessly wanders over, a big, friendly smile on it's face as it waves in greeting.

Hello, stranger! You're big!

Vanitas is more than happy to be laying on a towel, under an umbrella, resting while enjoying the sounds of the people around him and the water splashing in the distance. He's not a big fan of the sun, but it's relaxing. Flood the Espurr is sitting beside him, building a sand castle with his little hands, while Thornbite, a really small Budew, is sitting on the opposite side of the sand castle, taking in the sun and helping Flood.

[Maya may look a bit out of place, being that her wisps are barely visible in the sunlight. She's still got her magatama despite her light purple gauze dress and pinky-purple-on-white polkadotted bathing suit, and is playing with a menagerie, as usual.

She has her two banettes, sylveon, gastly, and Shi here to play with her in the sun, and that's just another reason for them to look out of place. Since when do ghosts hang out on the shoreline?

Regardless, it seems like they're enjoying themselves.]

[It's not out of place at all! In fact, there's another pair of ghosts not far away. Kuroshi and Kintsu are floating just above the water-line, chasing what appears to be a large, green head that's just sticking out of the water. And perched on that head is Yuuna in her bright yellow swimsuit. She points and waves to Maya, calling out across the waves.]

[A trip to the beach was something that even a stuffy academic like Rei could appreciate. The waves lapping along the shoreline and the puffy clouds billowing across the horizon were a beautiful sight indeed, and he was glad that he had the opportunity to see it. A few short weeks ago, and he would never have even thought of this...

He can be found along he shore, clad in a bright yellow speedo, patterned with a cloud of shimmery purple butterflies-- it was the most beautiful suit he had found in his size in the store, it would have been a crime to turn it down-- and accompanying him for the first time ever is a baby Ralts who is more than eager to play in the sands.

Rei finds himself chasing after the little pokemon more often than not. The little guy was faster than he looked, and a magnet for danger!

...Though, maybe Rei worried too much. ]

[Just...staring at this guy running around in what appears to be the bottom of a girl's bathing suit.]

What are you doing? You're not doing very good job of catching that thing. ♫ [Len has no idea what Pokemon that is, so it's just "a thing".]

[You know what this beach party needed? Some beach volleyball. Dressed in a blue swimsuit and a ball nestled under her arm, Lux looked for people to play with. Or, failing all else, she could be convinced to start building a sand castle.]

[ Oh hey there, what're you going to do with that ball there? There's a curious ludicolo making his way over to Lux to see where she's going to start that fun, even moving up his arms in signal that he wants to catch it! Yeah yeah, let's have some fun!!

And there is a young woman nearby, looking over to the pokémon and then to Lux, smiling with a small laugh. She's wearing a blue swimsuit too though fullbodied instead, a towel hanging off her waist and long brown hair bunched up into a messy bun on her head. ]

[Ezreal was wearing some blue trunks himself, was huddled under an umbrella. He'd been out a bit earlier, but not for very long. His red shoulders were mute indication as to why he wasn't out right now.]

[Someone appears to tan rather naturally, as seen from the bit of color she's been getting. Wandering over, she sits down next to him.]

[Thanks to a watermelon-related accident that ended up with her beach clothes covered in fruit juice, Cordelia has since been trying to avoid the busier parts of the beach. A bit self-conscious in her swim wear, she hopes that no one she recognizes actually sees her.

Which means, of course, she'll probably get picked out. Red hair in a ponytail and legs for miles, she's hard to miss.]

[ Hope you enjoyed that ride over the sea on a floating metagross, Green! Because now we're at the beach.

A shame you didn't get to put on your hoodie before arriving, but no troubles. Blue's got a bag of things for them on this little stay, some food and other gear should they need it, as well as a blanket and some towels -- and some swimming trunks for Green, courtesy of his sister. The bag stays sitting on top of Teal the Metagross though, for as soon as they reach the sandy beach, Blue practically jumps off with a laugh, the pokémon carefully slowing down following her leave. ]

And we're here! [ She turns back to them, practically beaming with excitement. Green will be able to see other people and pokémon have decided to travel to the island for some fun and relaxation. ] What do you think, Green? Should we go further in? Set up a spot here? Let's get our pokémon out!

[ Open A: Pokémon ]

[ Of course there's plenty of pokémon around, and not all of them are going to just be sunning. For example, Seabells the Azumarill and Indigo the Blastoise can both be found at times in the water, either in the middle of a rough fight, with the azumarill in particular not caring about anyone else around and where those bubble beams and strong burst of waters hit. Someone got caught? Whatever, let's not stop to see!

The azumarill looks like she wouldn't mind a challenge while wandering around the beach too, eyeing for anyone that looks worth talking to. Or she'll go further in the island to pick some fights with wild pokémon. Good stuff.

There's Helvola the Ludicolo around as well, who is all up for mingling in some fun. Got some beats going on or looking like you're enjoying yourself? Hey, you building a sandcastle? Let Helvola come and check it out! Teal the Metagross is also observing the other people and pokémon around and what they're doing, staring and watching at every person. You could be doing anything, anything -- he wants to take it all in. Please don't be creeped out? Or do.

Sola the Espeon stays close to Blue, but there's time when they can be found near to the waves, watching them go in and out but not certain about getting too close. It's the first time they've been to a beach like this, and everything is a curious thing... but while they don't know about that attempting to swim thing like the other people in the waters are doing, they do make up some fun themselves -- using their psychic abilities to control at the water, blasting at it and then trying to pick it up and swirl it back down. It's not graceful, but the exercise it gives and trying to make it more and more elaborate has the pokémon's full attention for a while... ]

[ Option B: Blue ]

[ Blue can be found nearly anywhere on the beach and off the beach and deeper into the tropical foliage. She wears a simple one-piece blue swimsuit while she's on the sand, a towel wrapped around her waist and her hair done up. Away from there though she's dressed more appropriately, joined by a pokémon - her espeon - to just see what there is. Maybe she'll climb later... yep. ]

Set up a spot here. ((He says almost immediately, stretching a little as he steps onto the sand, face wrinkled in his usual expression of disinterest mixed with grumpiness and a dash of irritation.)) I want to see what exactly you and my sister decided to pack for this little trip.

[ Melaka...! ... Does not have a swimsuit. She ain't go no time to waste on that. And the Ranger-supplies don't yet include a wetsuit. A terrible oversight which she'll start to issue commands to the higher-ups about once she's been here a while and realizes what a hassle sea water can be on some frabrics. But the result is that she's swimming (or well, toe-ing into the water in her own normal loose-fitting clothes. Specifically a top which takes advantage of the heat and knee length shorts.

It's actually her first time down on this island, believe it or not. Her Staraptor was only just big enough to fly her here, recently. so she's taking in the sights as much as she is awkwardly trying at having fun.

Tiny. The now quite ironically named Aggron. Who is probably making a glare for you via his metallic skin and will be very hot to touch. He feels nice though ]

[ Who the durdle is this overgrown metal plate on the beach? Whoever they are, they catch Seabell's eye -- and yes, that does include the fact that he's shimmering the place with his fat backside and every other side. Thanks.

But Seabells will ignore that offence to her eyes, putting up both tiny flappy hands above her eyes as she approaches him. HEY. HEY. You up there! I'm talking to you down here! ]
