What: The end of summer is quickly approaching, get your last bit of summer fun in now!
Warnings: Beach episode shenanigans.

Bright sun, warm sands, rolling waves, the tropical island was the place to be. With the new port making travel out much easier, the island was seeing a surge in tourism. Something about fighting giant fiery gods must have made people eager to jump into the water and relax.

Yeah, he can. He's kind of particular about being left alone. If I left him here and went to Union, he'd probably be able to run across water to catch up. Once he gets momentum going, there isn't a lot that can stop him.

Eeesh, he's that sensitive?

[ Two more knocks... ]

Yeah. It's...weird. He likes hugs. A lot.

[Kyo turns and looks at her. Why are you knocking, human?]

[ WHOA that nearly made her slip. Which makes her grip harder, and makes Shimmer laugh. Elegantly. ]

Is it? Remember where he started out. Larvitar are pretty small. And cute.

[ . . . Okay, she's got nothing. So he turns her head away from Yuuna, not wanting theorize her weight to look at her fish, who is flapping a fin at her in a gesture she's genuinely not sure if it's mocking or not ]

Yeah. And a huggable dinosaur really isn't all that bad.

[Kyo's head bobs in agreement, and that may...just...shake Mel a little bit.]

[ It does, and she very nearly slips off but- ] Hey, stop that! I'm not swimming!

Kyo seems to think otherwise.

[And he shakes again, dropping her off into shallow water!]

'Ey! I'm serious, I'll crack yo-- [ And she flops off into the water. Briefly, she has a moment of near panic , until she touches the bottom and realizes that no, she can still stand on this level. And she gets up, frowning a little here... and Shimmer is laughing a little ]

[Yuuna laughs with Shimmer, and Kyo just casually keeps on plodding along like a good kaiju. He sees nothink , he knows nothink!]

[ Wow, wow. Wooooow okay this isn't going to really hurt him (she doesn't realize the x4 weakness he has oops) but she's going to get her revenge. She cocks a fist back, and it glows briefly before in a flash of movement she launches a Mach Punch into his side. Intending to just have a short bit of showing her frustration. And covering her embarrassment.

As to Shimmer, though, she can't go in quite further than this, being a fish and all. But goes up next to Yuuna. She's silly, right? ]

[Well, he does feel it...because yeah, Fighting type move. And he turns to look down at the human. And then over at Yuuna, who's just raising an eyebrow.

And he'll totally return the favor with a gentle tap of his tail and a show of his teeth. Not hard, but enough to say please don't do that again or he might have to bite you. He is...after all...just playing. You are not.]

[ That was totally a love tap.

... No, it was too strong, and she knows it. She exhales, letting out what's left of her tension, and backs off. No need to pick a fight, particularly with the Pokémon of someone she doesn't know that well.

[Yuuna, sensing that same tension, actively glowers at Melaka, wondering what's going on. If it's a fight, then yeah. There will be all sorts of things showing up to end it before it really gets going. Kyo is something of a wuss, but...she knows he didn't appreciate that.]

[She looks up at the Tyranitar...who nods to her. It's okay, boss. He's cool.]

Maybe it's better we get you back to shore though, if swimming bugs you that much.

Ain't that it bugs, I just don't know how.

[ How's anyone, really? Union's landlocked. Maybe they all had pools or went to the Water habitat. Maybe she's the weirdo. But she says this with a gruff defensiveness, before Shimmer, her fish, just floats further out to sea. Shaaame. Shame ]

Well, do you want to learn?

[Seriously? Yeah. Pools. And Water Habitat...]
