Warnings: Beach episode shenanigans.

Bright sun, warm sands, rolling waves, the tropical island was the place to be. With the new port making travel out much easier, the island was seeing a surge in tourism. Something about fighting giant fiery gods must have made people eager to jump into the water and relax.

Well he's taken me around a bit?

[Seriously, this thing is like mini-godzilla. It's not swimming fast, but it weighs enough that a single person isn't going to sink it.]

Why so worried? If he sinks, he'll touch bottom. The water here's super shallow.

I'm just covering my bases! [ HUFF. She's not worried! ]

But fine, let's try it.

[Well then! With that said, Kyo turns around and gives her a place to stand on his back. And when she gets on, he starts moving around a bit, slowly plodding along in the water.]

[ Melaka does get onto his back and it's rough, but she can find a nice enough place to settle on. She wrings out her hair a bit as it gets wet, more to give herself something to do than anything.

That said, as soon as Kyo's getting deep enough for a large-ish fish to swim up next to him, Shimmer is going to be doing right that ]

[Well...hello there fishy-friend. Kyo slows down and looks at Shimmer with an amused expression.

What can he do for you?]

[ Well that's her not-swimming human. She wanted to swim with her, so she's counting this as being swim-tastic. ]

[The human can't swim! Well gosh! Why not?! Even he can swim, and he's a big rock monster!]

[ Right! It's just silly, honestly.

In fact she's going to elegantly laugh and sparkle.

Melaka, meanwhile, is making sure to keep her grip tight but- ]

Hey, you still here?

[ Referring to Yuuna, of course ]

[She's paddling along behind Melaka, swimming easily around.]

I am, yeah. What's up?

Just checking. [ Okay, okay, she has a grip - so look over her shoulder- there she is. Good ]

Yep. Right here.

[She floats over, moving so Melaka can see her better.]

So, what've you been up to? Just relaxing down at the beach?

Scouting way North of here, actually. Out by way we found the Valkyries. Ranger brass wanted it mapped up more.

[ She's here for her break period because... well a lot of people were going and she's never seen it ]

Is that a fact? [She hadn't known Mel was a Ranger. Though, after her conversation with Jade...she's had them on her mind.]

Find anything interesting up there?

A weird new pokémon in a cape. And a lot of grass, but the one stands out.

[ And some other stuff, but he was by far the most interesting. ]

Pokemon in a cape, what? Is this like that Moss Rock Legion thing?

No, this is ... bigger. The one I've met claims him and his friends set out all over the world.

Is that so? And...what kind of Pokemon is this?

Big yellow normal type with a drill at the end of the tail and little wings. Make a lot of hard D-sounds.

That...sounds really weird. Really, really weird.

You'd think... but the guy's also fast. Probably faster than this lug can go.

[ And, getting more used to this, she ends up patting the kaiju on the back. Perhaps harder than she should. Oh well. ]

[He can take it, s'ok.]

You'd be surprised. When Kyo's in a mood, he can really book it. He might not seem like it, but he's no slouch. [Points out to Hyozan the Avalugg, floating off at sea though.]

Hyozan though...is about as fast as a barn.

And barns don't really move, 'course. But really, this guy can book it?

[ Two more knuckle taps on him ]

Yeah, he can. He's kind of particular about being left alone. If I left him here and went to Union, he'd probably be able to run across water to catch up. Once he gets momentum going, there isn't a lot that can stop him.

Eeesh, he's that sensitive?

[ Two more knocks... ]

Yeah. It's...weird. He likes hugs. A lot.
