The vast wilderness beckons! Beginning January 25th, 2014, all wild Pokémon threads that aren't incorporated as part of another post should go here. You are still welcome to include a section for bonding with wild Pokémon as a part of another entry or a log, but we encourage isolated wild Pokémon threads to go here to prevent flooding of the main comm with entries specifically geared to only cover wild Pokémon threads.

[ She'd wandering deeper into the forest than she had ever gone before with ot without someone else with her. But Ib was never alone, she had her pokémon friends with her. This place they came upon is so peaceful it seemed like a good place to sit and start writing her notes for the day. ]

[The area around the large, mossy rock radiates tranquility. The original group to discover it had come across the Pokemon most closely associated with its power, but it is clear that other forest creatures are drawn to this spot as well. When Ib appears through the brush, however, there is a sudden burst of movement as many of the nearby Pokemon retreat back into the forest and melt away into the trees.

She can try to stop them if she likes but she can go about her business normally as well.]

[ She notices that some pokémon ran off but she's not the type to go after them. That could scare them further or cause a fight which she would prefer to avoid. Instead she settles on the ground, fixing her skirts so they keep her legs covered, and keeping her pokémon close. Hopefully by calmly going about they're own business she can show them that they don't mean any harm by being there. ]

[The clearing around the Moss Rock is now... clear. Relatively speaking, anyway. There is the sense that there are still eyes fixed upon her, but this, too, will fade after a few moments.

As Ib sits on the ground, a flash of gold will catch her eye - it glints from right beside the gigantic rock.]

[ Ib's red eyes focus on the spot. While she's perfectly willing to continue this waiting game, Boo is not. The Budew's got the better of her so she starts walking around to the other side of the rock.

Ib watches carefully as Mitchel, the Spinarak, crawls onto her back to get a better look at what everyone is finding so interesting. ]

[About five steps away from the gold glint, it is clear that the source is some sort of golden plant draped on the ground - it resembles a tulip. It's so shiny it looks almost like decorative gold foil.

This theory, however, is somewhat invalidated when the tulip rotates its head upside down and blinks at the Budew.]

...

[After a moment or two of staring, it leans forward and clamps down on the Budew with its large mouth.

A wild golden Bellsprout has appeared! It's... a shiny!]

BU! BUBUDEW

[ Boo instantly starts to panic and tries to run away. Back to Ib, in circles, any which way possible as long as it might shake off the Bellsprout. ]

Boo--! [ Ib has hopped to her feet and is trying to catch hold of them to pull the Bellsprout off. ]

[The Bellsprout calmly and stubborn hangs on. Its mouth isn't really a suction cup so much as it is just a... large hole, though, and as soon as Ib applies some pressure, it will pop off easily.]

Belllll...

[The golden Bellsprout looks vaguely unhappy.]

[ After checking to make sure the Budew behind her legs is okay, Ib shakes a finger at the Bellsprout. Be firm but caring. ]

No. You shouldn't eat your friends. [ Even as she says that she doesn't want to let go of its stem yet. ]

[Bellsprout stares blankly at Ib for a moment or two as she shakes her finger at it.

Then it leans forward to try and envelop her finger in its mouth.]

[ She sighs. After she'd just said no... She could have Mitchel shoot his string over its mouth but that seems mean. ]

Are you hungry? [ She could offer it some of the food in her pack. Carefully setting the Bellsprout down to open her bag, trying to keep an eye on it while she does so.

Luckily she has a couple extra pairs of eyes on her back and behind her legs. ]

Here. [ She holds part of a peanut butter sandwich out it. ]

[Bellsprout doesn't do much of anything when she sets it down more than it does... droop. ...It does allow its beady eyes to roam towards Budew again, though.

When she takes out the sandwich, it seems to perk up. It wasn't meat, but well protein was protein.]

Beeeeell!

[It readily leans forward to inhale the proffered food.]

[ Boo puffs up as best she can, it's not eating her again.

Since the Bellsprout inhaled that so happily she ends up offering it the rest of the sandwich. ]

Do you want to come with us... Goldie? [ Not the most original name but it seemed to suit the Bellsprout. She even sets her warpband for a new bond. ]

[Once Bellsprout has finished consuming everything, it will glance around vaguely as Ib addresses it. It will wait for Goldie to respond.

Bell?

[Wait was she talking to it?

One gets the feeling this Pokemon isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.]

[ It might be dumb but Ib has patience. She nods. ]

Beeeeellsprout~

[Bellsprout cheerfully waves its... leaves around. It seems to be assenting! ...As long as it gets fed, anyway.

Ib has bonded with Bellsprout! It will be Level 6!]
