The vast wilderness beckons! Beginning January 25th, 2014, all wild Pokémon threads that aren't incorporated as part of another post should go here. You are still welcome to include a section for bonding with wild Pokémon as a part of another entry or a log, but we encourage isolated wild Pokémon threads to go here to prevent flooding of the main comm with entries specifically geared to only cover wild Pokémon threads.

[Once again, Squid Girl is back out at the island with her fishing rod. There are a lot of new Water types out here that she's never seen before, and the ones she's managed to bond with so far have turned out to be pretty strong. So she's feeling pretty lucky today as she casts out her line into the ocean.]

[There's a sharp tug on Squid Girl's line!]

Who will be the newest addition to my mighty army?

[She gives an excited yell as she pulls the line up!]

[It's heavy! It starts pulling back with tremendous force!]

Hrrrrgh! You're gilly strong, aren't you?

[Gripping the fishing rod with all ten of her tentacles to free up her arms, she adjusts the bands on her arms to make herself heavier, firmly planting her feet into the rock she's standing on.]

C'moooooooonnnnnn!

[And then she gives the line a good yank!]

[The line yanks back and Squid Girl goes flying into the ocean!

She then comes face to face with a grinning Wailmer.

Whoa!

[She must have seriously underestimated the size of her catch! And as she goes flying, she lands straight in front of this thing.]

A... a... a W-W-Wailmer!

[It spits out the hook into Squid Girl's face. Then it attempts to nom her head.]

Nooooooooo! Don't eat meeeeeeee!

[bravenewmods]

[But it wants to eat you! Nom nom nom]

[moemoetentacles]

[Stretching her tentacles out, she tries to brace them against the sides of its mouth to keep it from swallowing her whole.]

I taste terrible!

[bravenewmods]

[You kinda do, yeah.

It spits her out.]

That's better! You should kelp me out instead. I don't know if I should after that, but I'll jet you join my inkvasion force.

[bravenewmods]

[It yawns.

What do you have to offer for my help?]

...Nobody else really asked for anyfin.

[Yeah, she doesn't really plan ahead.]

[Food. Something that tastes better than you.]

That's easy! I know where to find lots of delicious fish!

[She is going to feed this thing so many Basculin, sob.]
