What: Union's more-than-annual beach party. Open log, tag around!

The sun is shining, the Wingull are squawking, and the beach of the Tropical Island is as beautiful as always. The whole city has more or less been effectively encouraged to come out, especially people who need to recover from the shenanigans in Sanctuary. The air is filled with the sounds and smells of Citadel visitors grilling, the expected murmurs of shock at Calderan fashions hitting the place where they're most practical, and of course, the colorful sights of everyone having a good time. There's lots of places to see and things to do on the island, and now's the time to enjoy them.

The Ride Over

A certain part-time captain is providing discount transportation, as promised, via steamship. For the sake of overflow, she'll also offer further-discounted rides on her Wailord, and is thankfully too busy to turn that into a dirty joke more than once an hour or so

Beach Sprawling

Of course, the main attraction of the Tropical Island is the sandy beaches that have been semi-colonized by beauty-seeking Unionites. It can get a bit crowded, but it's still a beautiful place to lay out on a towel and absorb some Bright Sunlight.

Swimming

There's also a nice, protected swimming spot in front of the beach, of course. It may or may not have a sleepy Wailord resting in it, but either way, it's a great way to cool off.

Food

Certain recent discoveries of meat-happy cultures have led to the revival of mankind's greatest culinary art, beach grilling, whether done privately or by enterprising businesspeople who paid a premium to load the steamship with icechests full of food or cold treats.

Exploration

And of course, this is still a jungle island with no real permanent settlement, full of...well, mostly Tropius, but there are other Pokémon and secrets around too, surely.
