Who: The people of Union and all their wonderful friends who can be bothered to take a vacation.
Where: The Tropical Island
When: On and off, the second week of June
What: Union's more-than-annual beach party. Open log, tag around!

The sun is shining, the Wingull are squawking, and the beach of the Tropical Island is as beautiful as always. The whole city has more or less been effectively encouraged to come out, especially people who need to recover from the shenanigans in Sanctuary. The air is filled with the sounds and smells of Citadel visitors grilling, the expected murmurs of shock at Calderan fashions hitting the place where they're most practical, and of course, the colorful sights of everyone having a good time. There's lots of places to see and things to do on the island, and now's the time to enjoy them.

[Meanwhile, Asemu ditches his shirt as he unpacks, revealing his toned upper body and upper arms. He gets chairs, towels, and an umbrella set up, while leaving the refreshments in the basket for now.

Then he turns around and catches sight of Rise in her new bikini.

His face turns red.]

[celebrity_commentator]

[Rise grins. She'd literally be glowing if she didn't have that pesky Normal type, probably.]

I am never gonna get tired of that expression.

[He takes a loud gulp. In all honesty, though he had a hard time admitting it, he would love to hold her against him in their respective swimsuits.

Trying to maintain some semblance of composure, he gives a firm nod.]

[celebrity_commentator]

Good.

[She walks over to him, slowly.]

If I'm going to wear something like this, I want you to be the one to enjoy it.

[She's right next to Asemu, and put her arms around him.]

[second_destiny]

[Still blushing, Asemu wills himself to relax his muscles. The large amount of skin-to-skin contact made possible by their swimsuits feels as good as he was hoping it would. He wraps his arms around Rise's waist in response, as well as tilting his head in to deliver a kiss to her lips.]

[celebrity_commentator]

[Rise returns the kiss, holding there for a long time. Most of her mind is blank, or focused on immediate physical feelings, but the rest of it is really appreciating the peace, quiet, and privacy that's letting her enjoy this.]

[second_destiny]

[Eventually Asemu pulls back, but keeps his arms wrapped around her.]

I kind of wish we could just stay like this for a long time.

[celebrity_commentator]

Well, I've got no objection to that...but maybe we should get in the shade first.

[second_destiny]

[It makes no difference to Asemu -- he doesn't get sunburn. But he also knows that it does make a difference to his girlfriend.]

Ah. Probably a good idea.

[Without moving his arms, he lifts the two of them off the ground, then lands beneath the shade of a nearby tree.]

Better?

[celebrity_commentator]

Much!

[Rise carefully considers the tree.]

We brought a blanket, right? There's enough shade here we could stretch out and relax...

[second_destiny]

Oh, yeah. We do.

[He dives into the bag and pulls it out, then starts unfolding it.]

Can you give me a hand with this?

[celebrity_commentator]

[Rise can, and does, helping get the blanket spread out quickly, if only so she can drop down onto it almost immediately.]

[second_destiny]

You're not wasting any time.

[Asemu sits down on it himself, and spreads himself out.]

Nice to relax for a change, though.

[celebrity_commentator]

Heh...it's a little hot out here. Besides...

[She scoots closer to him.]

Now we can stay like this for a while and not worry about anything.

[second_destiny]

Yeah, no kidding.

[He rolls over to face her and drapes an arm over her waist.]

Plus I could hold you for hours and never want to let go.

[celebrity_commentator]

[She giggles, and returns the embrace.]

Why don't you do that, then...?

[second_destiny]

For a while, at least.

[He wants to take her swimming at some point while they're out here. But in the meantime, he's going to enjoy holding her close to him while they're both wearing swimwear.]
