What: Union's more-than-annual beach party. Open log, tag around!

The sun is shining, the Wingull are squawking, and the beach of the Tropical Island is as beautiful as always. The whole city has more or less been effectively encouraged to come out, especially people who need to recover from the shenanigans in Sanctuary. The air is filled with the sounds and smells of Citadel visitors grilling, the expected murmurs of shock at Calderan fashions hitting the place where they're most practical, and of course, the colorful sights of everyone having a good time. There's lots of places to see and things to do on the island, and now's the time to enjoy them.

Well, I've got no objection to that...but maybe we should get in the shade first.

[It makes no difference to Asemu -- he doesn't get sunburn. But he also knows that it does make a difference to his girlfriend.]

Ah. Probably a good idea.

[Without moving his arms, he lifts the two of them off the ground, then lands beneath the shade of a nearby tree.]

[Rise carefully considers the tree.]

We brought a blanket, right? There's enough shade here we could stretch out and relax...

Oh, yeah. We do.

[He dives into the bag and pulls it out, then starts unfolding it.]

Can you give me a hand with this?

[celebrity_commentator]

[Rise can, and does, helping get the blanket spread out quickly, if only so she can drop down onto it almost immediately.]

[second_destiny]

You're not wasting any time.

[Asemu sits down on it himself, and spreads himself out.]

Nice to relax for a change, though.

[celebrity_commentator]

Heh...it's a little hot out here. Besides...

[She scoots closer to him.]

Now we can stay like this for a while and not worry about anything.

[second_destiny]

Yeah, no kidding.

[He rolls over to face her and drapes an arm over her waist.]

Plus I could hold you for hours and never want to let go.

[celebrity_commentator]

[She giggles, and returns the embrace.]

Why don't you do that, then...?

[second_destiny]

For a while, at least.

[He wants to take her swimming at some point while they're out here. But in the meantime, he's going to enjoy holding her close to him while they're both wearing swimwear.]
