Beach Party Log

Who: The people of Union and all their wonderful friends who can be bothered to take a vacation.
Where: The Tropical Island
When: On and off, the second week of June
What: Union's more-than-annual beach party. Open log, tag around!

The sun is shining, the Wingull are squawking, and the beach of the Tropical Island is as beautiful as always. The whole city has more or less been effectively encouraged to come out, especially people who need to recover from the shenanigans in Sanctuary. The air is filled with the sounds and smells of Citadel visitors grilling, the expected murmurs of shock at Calderan fashions hitting the place where they're most practical, and of course, the colorful sights of everyone having a good time. There's lots of places to see and things to do on the island, and now's the time to enjoy them.

"Sinbad."

She nodded in a way that wasn't QUITE a bow, then counted over Sinbad's pile of food. "Yes, though it would seem not quite so thoroughly as you are."
conquerorofwaves: (No - more like this)

He shrugs with a laugh. "It'd be rude to turn down a sample, but this is honestly way too much for one person, would you like to share?" He suggested brightly.
flying_chains: (Hmm?)

"I have food of my own. Thank you."

She held up her fish in explanation.

"But it looks like your friends are quite hungry."

He glances down. "Furfur, Valefor - don't think the fruits and fry bread's going to settle well on your stomach." He explains as he tries to figure out how to divvy up the food without dropping it, his newly evolved tail swaying into an almost question-mark figure. Then he seemed to have an idea. "Badr...?"

Without needing an elaboration, the dratini slithers out from under his wrap and grabbed the fishballs in it's mouth before tossing it at the other two. "How have you been, Morg?" He had wondered what it was like on her end in Sanctuary.
flying_chains: (Eh?)

She watched this juggling act with bemusement.

"Well enough. It was good to feel useful in Sanctuary."

It had also felt good to do what she had been born to do. Part of her soul had sang as she had beaten armed men to a pulp with her bare hands. Especially men from Gigas. Now...she was going to pretend that hadn't happened in favor of noticing Sinbad's tail

"That's...new."
conquerorofwaves: (What a weirdo)

He nods in agreement, as he now adds bouncing the less messy things off the tip of his tail - turning it into a game of fetch. "Not entirely fond of some of the things I heard, but it did feel good to help." Sinbad chuckles as he noticed where her gaze is going.

"Yeah, I evolved during the mission, it's weird - I expect it to throw me off balance, but long as I don't overthink it, it's as if I always had it."
flying_chains: (Don't patronize me)

"Even if Sanctuary isn't perfect, they didn't deserve..." The things she saw in that prison. "Nevermind."

To cover the awkward moment, she ended up sticking half the fish in her mouth in one bite.
conquerorofwaves: (What are you doing?!)

There's a slight shift in his body language - yipes, not the person to talk moral relativity to. "One thing at a time." He closed his eyes, nodding slightly. "How's the fish?"
flying_chains: (Pleased as punch)

When she pulled it out of her mouth, the front half of the poor creature was a skeleton. "Very good. Seafood was not very common for most of my life."
