[Saber nods to Hayato and Maka, grateful she wound up near at least two people she's familiar with.]

Watch for assaults or fallen buildings coming down from above. The enemy doesn't have control of the sky, but that's where they'll be coming from anyway.

[Ami was not surprised. Of course she wasn't surprised. Insane, power hungry, cultist had been on her mind since Glacier. So when crazy reared its head, she was quick to grab Rei because she knew her fiancé would go off to fight the dragon. And in truth, with her abilities, she'd be formidable. Except together, the both of them could help protect their home. She brought with her Socrates the Dragonite, Hypatia the Florges, Aurora the Luxray, Nightengale the chansey, and Minerva the noctowl to help around the city. She knew that each one would be able to help protect and heal the people of this city.

She had gotten onto the back of Minerva so that any one they had to rescue could be saved by her dragonite, Socrates her fastest flier by far.]

I can take care of any injured but I think we should try and stay in the air, stopping any attacks before they even have a chance of hitting the ground and citizens. We need to act a shield but we have the advantage of being able to move.

I'm...lacking in flight options, sadly. My best climber is in charge of creating escape tunnels far away from that Enlightened's Ice moves, as well.

[Saber does have with her her Escavalier and for some reason a tiny overleveled Litleo and a Castform, however. The Escavalier bows floridly to Rei, Ami, and Maka.]

[Like Rei, Maka was aware already that she was too furious to act rationally at the attack, and she needed to refocus herself. People that need protecting and the gods' blessing has done wonders for this.]

I can fly.

[Maka says this slowly, as if she's considering her words while she removes the cloak around her shoulders. As always, Stella the Meowstic is at her side, and they are joined by Hades the Houndoom, Wilbur the Emboar, Sally the Darumaka, and Baldwin the Golurk.]

Stella can fly too with her telekinesis, we can probably both use our power to help non-fliers. [Baldwin is obviously covered since it is a rocket golem.] My fire users can stave off the ice. I can bring down anybody in the buildings that's injured with Stella and Baldwin if needed, the evacuation people might have a tough time with taking anyone injured.

[Incandescent wings flare out once Maka's removed the cloak--they're no surprise to anybody in Union, she's used them before, but somehow they seem stronger and more solid than before.]

[Rei was the kind of calm that came shortly before a volcanic eruption. An ugly, outraged sort of calm that was masking a deep-seeded fury. This thing had attacked her home, the little world she called her own, and had the gall to go after citizens under her flock. The priestess in her was passed the point of berserk rage, and her heart was gripped instead by an icy wrath, filled with a deliberate desire to root out these people and destroy their works. Not them, but that which they sought to do. And that meant helping the people of Union, who they were so desperately trying to kill.]

I have you.

[Rei had a shortage of flying types herself, but a Mega-Evolved Charizard X had more than enough room on it. Chest heaving, Olympus Mons offered a claw to Saber.]

We need to move quickly. Deimos and Sarek can shield us, and Casius can carry the wounded. Ninetales Vale seems to be out of the direct line of fire, so maybe we should concentrate on getting people there?

[With her she has Olympus Mons the Charizard, Deimos the Gardevoir, Sarek the Beheeyem, Casius the Arcanine, and Athos the Lucario.]

[ Tendou didn't have much attachment to Union itself, but he had seen more than enough destruction in his lifetime to find all this more than a little distasteful. ]

I can ride Sora here if I have to, but Aerodactyl aren't exactly built for ferrying people.

[ He looks around taking in the destruction with sharp eyes. ]

There aren't enough of us to physically carry many people. It still has to be done, but we should make sure those that can still move know where to gather.

[ If only y'know, the Warp Band network still worked. Without it, they'd have to do things the old-fashioned way. By being loud, using flares, smoke signals, anything. ]

[ Fortunately for team Bugmen & Friends, the mighty dragon doesn't seem to have noticed the pests buzzing (or discussing how best to buzz) in its general vicinity. Its eyes track the sky, where its fellow dragons had last been seen - but when it catches a glimpse of the nearest industrial district, it harrumphs. Icicles fall from its breath to the street below.

And then, it's on the move. A mighty flap of wings, and it's wheeling down lower to get a better look. The twin dragons circle around it, but Kyurem seems intent. That forge offends it.

Protection plans might be best imposed immediately. ]

AURORA! [Ami pointed to the icicles while the Luxray shot out bolts of Thunder Fang to turn the massive falling icicles into much smaller pieces. Meanwhile, Ami put up a massive and dense wall, using Ice Beam around the small group.]

We can't keep staying in this one spot. I say we go with Rei's plan to move them to the shrine if evacuation crews can't get them safely out of Union.

[Oh hell no, don't you touch that forge you winged pop-cicle.]

[Hayato all but throws ...what is that? A ball? No, that's his Darumaka that sends it's own Fire Fang to help Aurora scatter the ice.]

[Once she's landed, he scoops her up, leaping with the blessing of the gods under his feet from one tower ledge to another to make his way over to the Forge.]

Fuji and Nikon can both help with getting people to safety!

[They'll do better on the ground, especially since he has to move so fast. he's not got a flyer so he's relying on his own speed (and what the gods gave him, thanks guys). Goro clings to his coat and Cyclone floats after him. He pulls up a quick Iron Defense in the event of having to be more of a meatshield than antcipated.]

Edward! Flamethrower!

[The Litleo's oddly powerful jet of flame joins the other attacks in scattering the ice from the back of the Mega Charizard. Saber, meanwhile, focuses on her own Iron Defense - if there's one thing a Doublade can be expected to do, it's take a hit.]

[Speaking of Kyurem, wow, it's not a patient creature.

Then again, just standing around and strategizing is kind of silly. Maka's wings dissipate, the light spreading out into a Light Screen across the party.]

Baldwin, go find anyone that needs help and bring them to the shrine! [The Golurk complies, jetting off to search around. At least it can avoid any attacks in the air, for now Maka is picked up by Wilbur and placed on his shoulders. They can't stay in one place, so it's time to move on out of here.]

Taiyou, go.

[ Ice? Ice they could deal with. At least it wasn't fireballs everywhere like in Glacier. He pat his Volcarona on its back, the bug flying up to meet the falling icicles directly with a Fiery Dance, attacking the falling icicles directly with jets of flame. ]

Sora go with them to dig out whoever you can find, Kagami stay with us.

[ The Aerodactyl flapped away, as Tendou stays firm on the ground, preparing himself for battle with a Swords Dance. ]

[Rei's just as quick to leap in to help. Her hands move in a sharp, cutting gesture and a scythe of fire (Flamethrower)arcs across area, slicing through more of the icicles.]

Deimos! A shield, now!

[And right on time, a Reflect springs up in a dome over the forge to act as a barrier against the falling ice!]

[ The falling ice sizzles harmlessly thanks to everyone's preventative measures. Kyurem, however, plants a mighty foot down in a nearby street (a few storefronts cave in) and sucks in a breath.

Ice Beam shoots out, striking the Reflect. Maintaining that is going to get hard for Deimos very soon, but for right now, it's scattering some of the freezing-cold attacks, the attack splitting on the shield and bouncing in multiple directions.

Can you defend this one place and the surrounding buildings? ]

[Saber takes a deep breath. Of course it's keeping up with the special attacks. Nothing for it, though.]

I'll concentrate on containing it. Lancelot, you keep its attention focused.

[With that, she Shifts into Doublade form and Autotomizes, charging out of the barrier and using her blessing-enhanced agility to bodily intercept the scattering ice beams. At least they're Not Very Effective.]

[Lancelot the Escavalier, meanwhile, gives a resonating buzz and clanks forward. Issuing a challenge in the form of more buzzing, he whacks the god in the foot with his Iron Head. Never let it be said that Lancelot does not follow orders exactly.]

Right!

Well, since the dragon's going to be that way, Rei has other things in mind. First, she reaches out to Casius, the Beheeyem with a mental instruction to Reflect again, this time using his massive brain to calculate a new angle. This shield isn't an inverted dome like Deimos's, it's more of a concave one. A bowl meant to catch and hold some of the falling shards. It may work, it may not. But it's better than nothing?

And while it does this, Lancelot is joined by Athos. The Lucario bursts out of nowhere backed by a blessing, moving towards the dragon's flank and firing off an Aura Sphere towards it's massive midsection.]

[Hayato meanwhile, joins Saber in going after loose shards. Leaping across ledges and roofs he slams a Metal Claw into anything falling in hopes of breaking it up further and keeping it from doing real damage.]

[Bouncing around is also Pentax with blessing powered Fire Punch's of her own. The little pokemon was small and quick with it's feet moving so fast it was hard to tell if it ever actually touched the ground. Her incessant dancing seemed to be paying off in battle.]

[Wilbur's shockingly agile for a giant pig, where Maka directs him he goes quickly. Though neither of them attack, rather Maka takes Sally into her hands and prepares a throw.]

Sorry, Sally, we're going to have to do this sooner than expected.

[The Darumaka nods in understanding and when she's launched, there's an Overheat burst against the ice. It's a large flare of fire, and though Sally will be weakened by the attack hopefully it'd do some good.

Maka herself concentrates a Moonblast to use against Kyurem.]

[ They're tossing pigs at it. Is this. Is this really a thing among the humans now. The world is in even worse straits than Kyurem'd thought, and that's even before some Fairy ingrate struck it with a Moonblast.

It creaks in what might be a sigh, and sends a barrage of Hail down next. It doesn't have time for this. There are other gods up there, and they look like they're getting prepared to wheel down and reengage...right in the middle of the city here. ]

Can anybody fix the weather? All this ice isn't to my tastes.

[ Tendou's the one with the Sun-like Pokemon, but for some reason Volcarona doesn't learn Sunny Day by itself. He'll have to fix that after this. ]

And if we want to keep the city in one piece, we should probably stop letting these meatheads thrash about in the middle of the city. Where's the nearest open space?

[ Even that wouldn't be able to contain Kyurem's rampage, but it's best to keep the smashing to a minimum.

Meanwhile, Taiyou the Volcarona is going to keep launching Fiery Dance at the big dragon, while Sora the Aerodactyl joins in with Ancient Power. ]

I'm on it. Fisher!

[Saber's currently Ice-typed Castform burbles acknowledgement and attempts to clear up the hail with Sunny Day, despite it being the middle of the night.]

[Saber herself sends herself flying directly at Kyurem's face with Aerial Ace, using the momentum from the Flying-type attack to land on top of a nearby tower, trying to get Kyurem's attention and Kyurem itself off the ground.]

If you want to stop the sunlight, dragon god, you'll have to catch me.

[On cue, Fisher ducks behind cover as best it can.]

[Rei, on the other hand, looks to Ami. She doesn't have any jokes or comments. She just has one thing on her mind. They have to win. So...she raises her hands to the sky and cries out:]

Flame, grant me the strength to protect my home!

[Fire whirls around her, a cyclone a dozen yards high erupting out of her. Her outfit changes, her sense changes, and there's an indelible pressure in the air as she mega-evolves into her Fairy form.]

Ami Athos! Join me!

[And she fires a Dazzling Gleam, joined by the Lucario's Aura Sphere!]

[Ami locked gazes with Rei and understood. Without much further ado she also raised her hand to the sky.]

Water, grant me the ability to protect my home!

[Just as fire wrapped around Rei, water and ice encircled Ami and she took a deep breath as things suddenly felt different, more than before. Her skin, for the first time since evolving, lost its blue tint. She took a deep breath as the water and ice scattered, having mega-evolved int her own Fairy form.]

Hypatia!

[Ami sends her own Dazzling Gleam while the Florges used a Moon Blast to strike out.]

[ All of a sudden, it's very bright. And painful. Kyurem winces, actually winces, against this much brilliance all at once. Those wings beat. Those feet lift off the ground. They've successfully gotten the God out of their streets, but Kyurem seems to have its own ideas about what to do now.

The dragon's tail swings right towards that tower on which Saber's perching, hoping to knock her off (and/or destroy the tower. Both seem like good ideas). It also attempts to counter Sunny Day with a Blizzard.

Perhaps it'd been considering the destruction of this city as too simple a task. The time has come for Kyurem to let it go. ]

[Saber can't avoid the falling ice or the smashing tail, bracing herself with another Iron Defense and trying to deflect the damage away from the tower. Sometimes being a Doublade sucks, but at least she's light enough right now to roll with the attack and let it knock her to another part of the towers.]

Is that...all you've got...?

[Saber's partners look up worriedly from street level. Edward tries to drive the dragon off with a nice painful Overheat before it can eat Saber or negate the damage boost from Sunny Day.]
