The Elite Four Strikes
The battle is joined. The gods of Union, while mighty, seem to pale in comparison to the singular dragon of ice. Although they strive mightily to avoid damaging the city, already the mysterious blue dragon has been flung directly into a tower, earning itself a nasty gash over its eye, much to the dismay of the red dragon. While it has rejoined the fight, it is clear that the gods alone are not enough - the people of Union will have to step forward if they are to save their beloved city. The cries of the wounded and terrified citizens echo through the streets as the flames of battle rage. Now is the time - they must be stopped!

[ Ice? Ice they could deal with. At least it wasn't fireballs everywhere like in Glacier. He pat his Volcarona on its back, the bug flying up to meet the falling icicles directly with a Fiery Dance, attacking the falling icicles directly with jets of flame. ]
Sora go with them to dig out whoever you can find, Kagami stay with us.
[ The Aerodactyl flapped away, as Tendou stays firm on the ground, preparing himself for battle with a Swords Dance. ]
...and no notifs came through =/
Deimos! A shield, now!
[And right on time, a Reflect springs up in a dome over the forge to act as a barrier against the falling ice!]
no subject
Ice Beam shoots out, striking the Reflect. Maintaining that is going to get hard for Deimos very soon, but for right now, it's scattering some of the freezing-cold attacks, the attack splitting on the shield and bouncing in multiple directions.
Can you defend this one place and the surrounding buildings? ]
no subject
I'll concentrate on containing it. Lancelot, you keep its attention focused.
[With that, she Shifts into Doublade form and Autotomizes, charging out of the barrier and using her blessing-enhanced agility to bodily intercept the scattering ice beams. At least they're Not Very Effective.]
[Lancelot the Escavalier, meanwhile, gives a resonating buzz and clanks forward. Issuing a challenge in the form of more buzzing, he whacks the god in the foot with his Iron Head. Never let it be said that Lancelot does not follow orders exactly.]
no subject
Well, since the dragon's going to be that way, Rei has other things in mind. First, she reaches out to Casius, the Beheeyem with a mental instruction to Reflect again, this time using his massive brain to calculate a new angle. This shield isn't an inverted dome like Deimos's, it's more of a concave one. A bowl meant to catch and hold some of the falling shards. It may work, it may not. But it's better than nothing?
And while it does this, Lancelot is joined by Athos. The Lucario bursts out of nowhere backed by a blessing, moving towards the dragon's flank and firing off an Aura Sphere towards it's massive midsection.]
no subject
[Bouncing around is also Pentax with blessing powered Fire Punch's of her own. The little pokemon was small and quick with it's feet moving so fast it was hard to tell if it ever actually touched the ground. Her incessant dancing seemed to be paying off in battle.]
no subject
Sorry, Sally, we're going to have to do this sooner than expected.
[The Darumaka nods in understanding and when she's launched, there's an Overheat burst against the ice. It's a large flare of fire, and though Sally will be weakened by the attack hopefully it'd do some good.
Maka herself concentrates a Moonblast to use against Kyurem.]

It creaks in what might be a sigh, and sends a barrage of Hail down next. It doesn't have time for this. There are other gods up there, and they look like they're getting prepared to wheel down and reengage...right in the middle of the city here. ]

[ Tendou's the one with the Sun-like Pokemon, but for some reason Volcarona doesn't learn Sunny Day by itself. He'll have to fix that after this. ]
And if we want to keep the city in one piece, we should probably stop letting these meatheads thrash about in the middle of the city. Where's the nearest open space?
[ Even that wouldn't be able to contain Kyurem's rampage, but it's best to keep the smashing to a minimum.
Meanwhile, Taiyou the Volcarona is going to keep launching Fiery Dance at the big dragon, while Sora the Aerodactyl joins in with Ancient Power. ]

[Saber's currently Ice-typed Castform burbles acknowledgement and attempts to clear up the hail with Sunny Day, despite it being the middle of the night.]
[Saber herself sends herself flying directly at Kyurem's face with Aerial Ace, using the momentum from the Flying-type attack to land on top of a nearby tower, trying to get Kyurem's attention and Kyurem itself off the ground.]
If you want to stop the sunlight, dragon god, you'll have to catch me.
[On cue, Fisher ducks behind cover as best it can.]

Flame, grant me the strength to protect my home!
[Fire whirls around her, a cyclone a dozen yards high erupting out of her. Her outfit changes, her sense changes, and there's an indelible pressure in the air as she mega-evolves into her Fairy form.]
Ami Athos! Join me!
[And she fires a Dazzling Gleam, joined by the Lucario's Aura Sphere!]
no subject
Water, grant me the ability to protect my home!
[Just as fire wrapped around Rei, water and ice encircled Ami and she took a deep breath as things suddenly felt different, more than before. Her skin, for the first time since evolving, lost its blue tint. She took a deep breath as the water and ice scattered, having mega-evolved int her own Fairy form.]
Hypatia!
[Ami sends her own Dazzling Gleam while the Florges used a Moon Blast to strike out.]

The dragon's tail swings right towards that tower on which Saber's perching, hoping to knock her off (and/or destroy the tower. Both seem like good ideas). It also attempts to counter Sunny Day with a Blizzard.
Perhaps it'd been considering the destruction of this city as too simple a task. The time has come for Kyurem to let it go. ]
no subject
Is that...all you've got...?
[Saber's partners look up worriedly from street level. Edward tries to drive the dragon off with a nice painful Overheat before it can eat Saber or negate the damage boost from Sunny Day.]
no subject
[Hayato can't do much with directly damaging this thing but he can at least support the team he's with. He leaps after Saber after she's been knocked back, hoping to catch her before she hits too many buildings.]
[Meanwhile he sends a telepathic command to Pentax who is probably getting tired with all of this.]
Keep up the fire as long as you can! But get out of the way if you have to!
[To which Pentax redoubles her efforts and keeps up a steady flame of fire with anothe incinerate to clear out what she can of that Blizzard.]
no subject
Don't let up! It's just Ice! Keep those shields up! And Olympus? Keep up the pressure!
[Extending her hand she let's loose with a Searing Shot, aimed squarely at Kyurem's underbelly. And the Mega-Evolved Charizard joins in with the strongest attack it knows. Sucking in a breath, belly swelling...it lets out a Blast Burn. Because having eyebrows that haven't been burned off is overrated]
no subject
HYPATIA AGAIN! [With Sunny Day in affect, the Florges seemed to relish in the sun as she sent up another Moon Blast. She leapt off of her Noctowl.]
Socrates, Minnerva, go look for civilians and get them to the shrine! [She mentally ordered the flying pokemon. She wanted to keep her Dragonite as far away from the battle as possible, with all these ice moves, even with Socrates' defense and speed, he would be incredibly weak to an ice dragon, but his speed would be incredibly necessary for falling debris and getting citizens to safety.]

Fortunately, Kyurem knows Light Screen.
Holding itself in place above the group, it wraps itself in shimmering energy, deflecting most of the fire - only a single pained growl indicates something, probably that powered-up Overheat, got through. The tower on which Saber had initially been perched took some damage from that tail, stones crumbling, and that inspires the dragon to circle overhead before changing its course and raking a claw down to try and remove some roofs from the Industrial District next.
All around them, the Blizzard rages. ]
no subject
Er...thank you, Hayato.
[She looks at what Kyurem's doing now, and thinks at the group as her Pokémon clamber their way up from street level to get a clear shot.]
We've got it away from street level and residential towers, but we still need to move it somewhere these attacks will do less damage. Does anybody have any thoughts?
[In the interim, Edward recovers from the draining effect of that Overheat with a Work Up, and Fisher finds a spot on a rooftop to snipe from and sends a Fire Blast at Kyurem, hoping to overcome the Light Screen and at least distract it.]
no subject
[It's offered faintly as Maka watches Kyurem's progress. Wilbur had dropped her to the ground when the Blizzard started so she wouldn't take the worst of the attacks, her smaller companions grouped around her.]
If anything, we can push it back away from the buildings, maybe give us some breathing room.
[Her Darumaka uses Work Up as well to keep awake in the chilly temperature. This is no time to be going into bean mode.]

[ Tendou's powers of observation are truly amazing. At pointing out the totally obvious. They are fundamentally so outgunned by a legendary Pokemon that any barriers are a complete pain to work through. ]
I'm going in. The rest of you blast right at me.
[ The God of War leaps right up at Kyurem, right behind Edward's Fire Blast. His speed is, as always, incredible, empowered by his Speed Boost that had been building up while he stayed on the ground.
A Brick Break in the form of a flying kick, launched right at the Light Screen, targeted at the dragon behind it, although with that same speed Tendou has every intention of dodging out of the way at the last moment.
Because he really doesn't like being hit by fire. Even if it's fire from his own Volcarona's continuous Fiery Dance. ]

Sarek! Don't you think he's got a little bit too much power?
[The hyperintelligent alien Pokemon nods solemnly in response to the psychic voice and uses Power Split. The move takes his Attack stats and Kyurems...averages them, and gives them back. So, a massive boost for one, and a sizable reduction in the other...]
no subject
...is what Kyurem would have thought before that Power Split took effect. Finding itself forced to average with a mere Pokémon - an enemy Pokémon, fighting on the side of those that would stop it - it has no choice but to lift off from the district it'd been ravaging, leaving several people cowering with their Pokémon still in their now-roofless homes. It swipes a wing at Tendou, hoping to knock at least him out of the sky, then glowers down from midair at the group.
As a parting gift, its jaws drip with Toxic. Even if they're forcing it away, it won't let this district ever be the same again.
The snow finds itself intermingled with acidic sludge. ]
no subject
[Saber's celebrations are cut short, though, she spots the god vomiting poison.]
You spiteful bastard...if that mixes in with the snow...
[Edward nudges Saber in the hand, giving her a suggestion.]
Right...you do that, Lancelot and I will block it. Wait until I'm in position in case the snow melts.
[Which that, Saber takes a running, flying leap toward where the Toxic is hitting, attempting to block it with her poison-immune body. As she gets there, Edward fires off an Incinerate directly toward the poison stream, a move hot enough to obliterate anything in its path thoroughly enough that there shouldn't be any poison vapors. As for what makes it to the ground...Saber will think of something before it has time to soak in. Hopefully.]
no subject
[Maka, for her part, helps Stella with a boost of her own psychic power so the burden is shared.]
[...Though, it's a little more difficult for her with the double weakness to poison.]
Of all the times to not know Safeguard, huh Stella? ["Nyo..."]
