You are still welcome to include a section for bonding with wild Pokémon as a part of another entry or a log, but we encourage isolated wild Pokémon threads to go here to prevent flooding of the main comm with entries specifically geared to only cover wild Pokémon threads.

[For just a moment, Feliks does hesitate. It's dark, and this feels like a bad place to go wandering too far alone, and wounded Pokemon can be dangerous -- but he doesn't want to risk leaving someone injured to the elements while he stands around waiting for backup.]

[He takes his Warp Band and taps out a text message to Fai: hey babe i think a pokemons hurt out here? but i dont wanna go too far in these woods without u. u know which way i went, and the big trees and my bootprints should be super obvious, so can you come out here plz?]

[Assured that the cavalry will come for him pretty fast if things do go bad out here (and that Jadwiga knows Teleport, anyway), he goes ahead and tries to get a look into the bushes anyway.]

[The moment his hand brushes against the bushes, something bellows and steamrolls out as if attempting to make the first strike. If Feliks doesn't retreat fast enough, he might be bowled over by the force.

His Pokemon, though will have a excellent glimpse of an angry moose-like creature. Dark liquid oozes across its side where a massive gash is visible.

It looks vaguely surprised - but it rears again and attempts to stomp on whatever's closest, Feliks or one his Pokemon.]

[It is probably a mark of a fairly gaping flaw in Feliks's character that his only thought as he's half-knocked, half-stumbles out of the way is hahaha oops.]

[Jadwiga disappears and reappears perched in the nearest tree at a safe distance, but Growlithe can't teleport, so getting clear of the angry Pokemon is a tougher job for him. He tries to get in front of Feliks to protect him, but Feliks is having none of it, and tackles him down into the snow off to the side of where the Pokemon's hooves come down just inches to his own side.]

Get out of here -- go get Fai!

[The Growlithe yelps out a protest as he gets up, but Feliks gives him another shove out of the way before rolling over onto his back in the snow, activating his Warp Band in the wild Pokemon's direction.]

Go!

[Then he focuses his attention on thinking at the Pokemon as he scrambles to his feet, doing his best to transmit goodwill and intent to help above all else.]

[The Stantler is terribly angry, so much so that Feliks may struggle with his own intended emotions at first. There are other alternating, wild emotions - veering between heightened fear and pain and something vaguely resembling despair, though the Pokemon is too wild to express that very clearly.

It will hurt someone - it will hurt like it has been hurt, like the strangers who have come to hurt its home.

Bowing its head now, it thrusts out its antlers and bellows once more. Not to spear Feliks, but to use the instinctive defensive technique of all Stantler. If he gazes upon it, he will feel his thoughts beginning to lose coherence rapidly.]

[All that anger and fear and pain in his head is hard to think past, especially while trying not to get antlered. He steps backwards away from the Pokemon, eyes steady on it, gathering his willpower.]

Jadwiga, Heal Pulse like five minutes ago!

[As the Growlithe finally scampers away to find Fai and the Gardevoir sends out healing energy towards the inured Pokemon, Feliks tries again. My friends and I will not hurt you. We don't want more pain, we can help -- please let us help!

[You know how quickly Fai is going to get on it the moment he gets that text? Pretty damn quick, that's what. He can't Teleport directly there, since he's not entirely sure of the location, but Feliks isn't hard to follow. Meaning he turns up to find his boyfriend cornered by an angry, hurt pokémon.

It takes all his self control not to lash out at the thing to get it to back off. That's a feral reaction, and it might be okay when you're all alone in the wilds, but he's supposed to know better now. So instead he keeps out of the way, only raising a psychic barrier around Feliks just in case. It won't hold for any substantial blow, but at least it might lessen the damage made somewhat.]

Feliks. [Reaching out a hand to restrain Feliks' poor Growlithe a bit, he hangs back.]

[Strange people in strange clothing with strange powers, strange Pokemon it has never seen. Stantler bucks and bellows as Feliks fails to fall victim to its hypnotic powers, seemingly about to rear for another strike.

Its hooves clatter wide off the mark, though, as it stumbles upon receiving Gardevoir's... attack? The wound has closed somewhat, though with the blood smeared around the fur, it's not immediately obvious. Stantler has sprawled to the ground, though - perhaps a bit stupidly, it contorts itself back to nose at the terrible gash.]

[Jadwiga follows up with another Heal Pulse without bothering to wait for the order, knowing that whether or not he bonds successfully, Feliks wants to help the injured Pokemon survive. Growlithe, meanwhile, tries to tug away from Fai, upset at his interference.]

[Feliks kneels down in front of Stantler, aiming to show physically as well as through the Warp Band that he doesn't want to pose a threat.]

[The other human isn't here to hurt you, he's just my mate. He wants to protect me, but he's kind, he's safe... Does it hurt less now?]

[After months upon months of trusting only to his own strength, and that of his pokémon companions, to solve any given situation... it's strange, to say the least, to now put all his faith in that Feliks will sort it out. Still, after that first moment of hesitation, he finds that it comes easier. Feliks has proved beyond the faintest shadow of a doubt that his heart is strong enough, and big enough, and loving enough, to last him through just about anything.

He takes his cue from Feliks, sinking down to the ground in as non-threatening a manner as possible, arms wrapped firmly around the Growlithe to calm him down a bit.]

We've got to hold back and trust him. [He mumbles it quietly, and mostly for his own benefit since the he possesses no gift for speaking to pokémon.]

[Deer aren't known for biting so much, but Feliks might not want to kneel too close as Stantler bucks its head again in response. If he still maintains a peaceful posture after a few moments, it will grudgingly contort back towards its wound.

...Its silence is probably enough to convey that yes, it does seem to be a bit better.

Unless Feliks makes any sudden movements, it will be content to allow him slightly closer now.]

[As the Stantler gets a little less aggressive, Growlithe calms down in Fai's arms. Jadwiga keeps on doing the healing thing, so long as the wound remains and she's able to continue.]

[Feliks stays still, still concentrating on trying to communicate through the Warp Band's connection. Who hurt you? Was it a human, or a Pokemon?]

[The answer isn't entirely clear, because the truth isn't entirely clear, either.

The town was burning - people fleeing - buildings collapsing. Even the forests outside the city had been consumed by fire.

Something had fallen with a heavy crash... and wild with pain, it had fled towards the darkness of the woods.]

[It must have been really scary.]

[He fidgets a little -- staying still isn't ever easy for him -- but doesn't move closer and keeps his hands well in view.]

[We heard about that. Some humans with a big Pokemon attacked the other humans, that's why there was all that fire and people running away. We came here from far away, to make them stop!]

[Stantler might not be listening to much, but it can at least understand the force behind Feliks's words. Its head swings back around rapidly as it releases a snort of hot air from its nostrils.

...Make them stop...?

Make them pay.

Its meaning is clear from the way it attempts to clamber back to its feet, flipping its antlers once more.]

[Oh, dear.]

[Feliks scoots back a little bit, keeping a wary eye on Stantler.]

[Make things right. Heal you, help the others who've been hurt, fight back against the people who started it until they stop. Feliks isn't too sure how to communicate the nuance between revenge and fighting with the aim of conflict resolution to an angry Pokemon, but damned if he isn't going to try!]

Stantler manages to look grouchy and peeved as Feliks continues to communicate, but whatever. It's not as if Feliks will know if it stomps a few times more than necessary on an enemy's head or if it's any of his business, anyway.

It will 'make things right'. And it will do it now.]]

[Feliks gets back up onto his feet in case he has to start running, backing a step or two further away.]

[Look, he really wants to help, but he's not going to let anybody go killing anybody, either. He has a strict no killing anybody unless it's super unavoidable policy!]

[The Pokemon snorts once more and tosses its head. It does not seem inclined to hurt the person who has helped it, at least.

Did he want to stop the attackers? It is a simple enough question in its eyes.]

[Gods, finally something with an easy answer.]

[Yes. We're totally gonna stop them.]

[Then it will be Feliks's job to pull it away if it stomps too hard.

Stantler stands tall, fully healed now... and bounds immediately back towards Glacier ready to rumble. Onwards, tiny human!!

...Feliks might want to stop it and explain things like 'strategy' and 'not being completely stupid'.]

[Feliks looks over at Fai with a shaky smile.]

...That could totally have gone worse!

[Fai grind back, letting the Growlithe loose with a final, friendly pat, and getting just a bit laboriously to his feet. He watches the Stantler storming off with amusement. Hopefully it will hold up once it realizes that it's not being followed.]

Looks like you were very inspiring. What a pity that Dotty is staying at home - I'm sure they will be friends. [Misapplied enthusiasm buddies!

He walks a bit closer, reaching out his hand to Feliks and giving him a not entirely subtle once-over] All bits still attached?

I think he's kind of a little angrier than Dotty, but like, he could kinda use a friend, maybe.

[He grins, slinging an arm around Fai's waist and resting his head on his shoulder.]

Dotty probably won't care about the angry part - he doesn't really pay attention to that sort of thing.

[Wrapping his arms protectively around Feliks, he gives him a bit of a squeeze as he allows himself to let go of any lingering apprehensions. It's fine. Feliks is fine.]

I like all your bits, you know, so I'm glad you're taking care of them.

[Jadwiga makes a noise intended to indicate that watching them flirt like this is embarrassing enough without being a psychic, and promptly grabs the Growlithe and teleports back to camp. Laughing a little, Feliks leans up to kiss his cheek.]
