Wild Pokémon Catch-All 2
The vast wilderness beckons! Beginning January 25th, 2014, all wild Pokémon threads that aren't incorporated as part of another post should go here. You are still welcome to include a section for bonding with wild Pokémon as a part of another entry or a log, but we encourage isolated wild Pokémon threads to go here to prevent flooding of the main comm with entries specifically geared to only cover wild Pokémon threads.
Please respond to the correct Week if possible for organizational purposes.

Re: Week 54 (January 17 - January 23)
/SLIDES IN
Gordon-san!
[At his side is the Froslass that Gordon'd seen before when they'd talked over the band, looking incredibly excited. She nearly heads down the entrance as Ichigo stops in front of his older superior, but is stopped by a quick word from her trainer. Impatiently, she floats over to Ichigo's side, all elegance utterly gone as she obviously wants to get down there as soon as possible.]
Sorry about being late! Hitoshi didn't want to come along, so I had to drop him off at home before coming here. Have you been waiting long?
Re: /SLIDES IN
Ichigo. You evolved?
[Rex intercepts the Froslass, jumping in their path, the terrier still a bundle of energy, if of a more intense and less spastic nature than before it evolved. It barks a warning to not wander off alone, even as it sniffs curiously at the ghost.]
And not too long, no.
[The old man considers the younger' mechanical, jerky movements. He offers him the satchel.]
Provisions, we might be down there for a while. You mind carrying them?
[Regardless of if Ichigo takes the satchel or not, Gordon pockets the sketch he was looking at and, after giving their little group a moment, he turns to step past the border to the Old City. Rex lags slightly, but turns to catch up, bounding until it's at Gordon's side.]
Been a long time since I've been in the old city. You ever been down here before?
no subject
[It's nice to know that it's easily noticeable, because he certainly feels sort of different. Taller, definitely.
Yukiko looks a little affronted at the warning from Rex, but she quiets down soon enough. They'll be going down there rather soon, just as soon as the trainers prepare.
Meanwhile, Ichigo takes the satchel, not bothered in the least at carrying them. Deftly, he wraps the satchel in one of his hair 'arms', keeping the 'hand' free while securing it tightly.]
I can't say I have...but it does feel sort of familiar.
[He tries to hide the slight anxiety he's feeling as he follows Gordon, wondering at how his gut feels like it's flip-flopping.]
I might have lived here before. I don't remember my past life very well, though.
no subject
Been a long time since anyone lived down here. Doesn't stop kids from trying to sneak down, though.
[He looks around at that, as if expecting a kid to be hiding just around the corner. Rex sniffs slightly ahead, nose to the ground at the strange smells.]
You mentioned only being awake for a few months. You got some kind of amnesia? Who's Hitoshi?
no subject
Hitoshi's my Gallade. He asked to stay back home for tonight - Something about wanting to make sure Kaede - my Phantump - didn't get herself stuck in something again.
[And with the easy part down, he sighed to himself, thinking. How to explain...?]
It's not amnesia - I'm a Honedge...Well, Aegislash shifter now. Do you know the legends about them?
[Without waiting for a reply, he continues.]
Although a lot of them are born from eggs...sometimes they're made when the soul of a person possesses a sword. And...that's how I woke up - as a Honedge, in front of the Forest Shrine.
no subject
[He considers, and takes a moment to stop, looking around. So far, it seems, the local denizens are mostly leaving them alone.]
Bit of a time gap, but I guess that sorta thing's hard to put a time limit on.
[He frowns, puffing on his cigarette for a few moments.]
That looks like a factory over there, let's head that way.
no subject
Yeah, exactly. Whenever I think about the old city, I get a bad feeling...
[And being down in it doesn't help, but he's trying to hide his unease.]
You're telling me. I woke up without knowing anything - I only recently found out about the Savior, believe it or not. All I knew was my name...
[Looking at the factory, he nods - pausing only momentarily to look down a side street, a cold chill creeping up in his gut for some reason.]
Ah... yeah. Sure.
no subject
You alright, son?
[Gordon takes a step closer, glancing down the side street, then looking back to Ichigo.]
I know the stories we tell about this place, but I'm gonna let you in on a little parenting secret. Most of those stories, we make up to keep kids from coming down here and getting lost.
[He glances to Rex.]
Rex's nose will get us back.
[The pokémon seems pleased by the praise, tail wagging as he lets out an affirmative 'der.' The Herdier points the way they came to prove the point.]
Home's that way.
sorry about the wait - I had some minor writer's block for a few days there
Thanks for keeping us on track.
[It's in pokemon to the herdier, but he looks back at Gordon with a sheepish look on his face.]
And, uh...I'm alright. I'm not really that worried about getting lost, but...it's nothing.
[Things shouldn't look so familiar. Not when he's never been down here before. But...he was here to help Gordon, so he'd just have to deal with it. Shaking his head, he steps towards the factory once more, this time with a little more hurry to his walk.]
C'mon - I'm alright, I promise.
Re: sorry about the wait - I had some minor writer's block for a few days there
You ever hear of Porygon? One of the rangers has one, a miss... Yuuna? Yuuma? Told me it can change its type. Seemed a useful thing to have.
[He passes Ichigo the sketch he made. The old man's no artist, but it's a good enough representation that it'd be hard to mistake for something else, particularly with the pokémon's appearance (a crystalline, ducklike thing) being so unique.]
She said we could find it around factories, but it's pretty rare, so we might be down here a bit.
[Give the kid something else to focus on, something calm, deliberate.]
Think you can help me keep an eye out?
[He smiles a bit, touching his glasses.]
Eyes don't work quite as well as they used to.
[Not that Ichigo's seen him have much problem with them in the past. Of course, at the confession of weakness, the Herdier chimes in, enthusiastic.]
Don't worry, I can smell, and see!
