[After visiting the council and seeking permission to stay in Union City, Renko was more than pleased with their answer. They'd even given her one of those Warp Band devices she'd seen most people around the city wear. Needless to say, she looks thrilled once she gets it all figured out and starts recording.]

Hey, this thing isn't as hard to figure out as I thought it would be! That's great!

So it's pretty obvious that I'm not from around here. That aside, my name's Renko Usami, and I've decided to stay here! It's quite a bit different than what I'm used to in most ways.

[She pauses for a moment, debating what to say next, all the while counting the seconds away in her head. She needed to make a good impression on these people. She hoped she was doing a good job.]

I'd really like to learn more about all of you. Your stories, culture, technology, any of it, really. Is there a library I can check out? Other than that, any advice at all would be appreciated, especially with exploring some of the areas outside the city. It didn't seem so bad on the way here, but I was in a group then. I'm guessing going solo would be a very different experience.

Anyway, that's it for now. Thank you for allowing me to stay in your city.

I suppose that's very true. I've no doubt there's a veritable storm of questions awaiting me, but I'll do my best to handle it.

Nah, it's all mine. You know any landmarks yet?

I know a few. Mostly the bigger, more important looking places.

Well, you busy? Pick one, I'll meet you, and I'll point out some of the highlights I know.

I can meet you by the agricultural tower, if that works for you.

That's a pretty big area but -- sure. We can find each other there, I bet.

If you know of a landmark nearby, I can certainly try to find it if it'll make finding me a bit easier.

[ ... What's a good one near there... ] The west, topmost entrance to it has a thin path over towards the signal tower and there's a pretty big wingull nest over there. You should be able to see a lot of them flying around. I can meet you there.

That sounds like it should be easy enough to spot. I'll be there shortly!

Depending on where you are, might get there first!

[ Still, she will be there. A lot of parkour shit, but still, she was several levels below and in a different tower and district. So it'll be fast, but it'll still probably be a good fifteen to twenty minutes on her end ]

[It's actually very probable that Melaka would get there first.

Renko herself is pretty easy to pick out when she reaches their designated meeting spot. As their conversation had only been by voice, she doesn't know who she's looking for. She also has a Solosis under one arm,]

[ Melaka, at least, does from the video. She herself gets there before the other girl (wow she did not expect that) and ends up pacing a little to let off what's left of her adrenaline. But when someone else shows up she glances over to confirm if it's them or not. the first two people who show up are not who she's meeting but the third one--]

Hey, you're the Gigas girl, right?

[Well, that was certainly one way to get her attention. Really, how many others from Gigas stayed behind?]

That's me. My name is Renko.

Renko, got it. I'm Melaka if I didn't ay that already.

[ Nod. ] I'm the one who was meeting you.

[Renko offers a smile and extends a hand. It always helped to offer a proper greeting or introduction.]

It's nice to meet you, Melaka. Thank you for coming to meet me.

[ OH. Well, she'll meet it with her own hand. And shake it down ]

Nice to meet you too. It's no problem.

So, what's our first stop?

Well, I've got a few ideas, but do you have a priority. Food, supplies, salvage? Landmarks?

Just about anything would be useful, really. I'll say supplies would be the most important though.

Alright then. In terms of supplies for the outside, there's he the Outpost for the things from without and Pokéco's the most obvious for within. But then you just need to go down a few levels in the business tower in order to get things cheaper. Either way, it's all close to the same place, so let's go.

[ And with a wave...! They make to head for it! ]

[Renko listens carefully, nodding as Melaka speaks. She doesn't want to miss anything.]

Alright. Lead on, then!

[ And considers. How she would go is down from the bridge here to that next roof... but. Walkway might be better ]

You got it. Let's talk and walk.

[Yeah, the walkway would probably be a better choice, at least for Renko.]

So what's life like here normally? In your opinion.

Pretty calm, as long as you've got the money to live. [ Inside the walls. But... ] ...'Cept for the last two months, I guess, things got pretty crazy there for a while.

[That reminds Renko that she needs to see if currency from Gigas would be any use here. That would be nice to know.]

I know there was the tournament, so what happened before that?
