The Depths of Gigas

While Union was happy to agree to a ceasefire with Gigas and treat with them in earnest, it seems the Seekers have held some suspicions of the great Empire for awhile now. And thus, enlisting in the help of a few hand-picked Union agents, they stole into the deepest vaults of Gigas, hoping to recover items of great power and learn the truth about the city’s purported guardian gods.

[Minako glanced back as she heard someone else enter, staring closely at the facemask of the suit to see who it was. Ami?]

[Michiru was definitely here the whole time, yes.

Looks like the suits are helping them blend in, at least. A quick look at the god, a slight widening of her eyes, and then she's purposely looking away and walking onward. No point in gawking and drawing attention to themselves.]

[ That's smart. It's also a good reminder for Haruka, who definitely would have been inclined to stare dramatically otherwise.

Right. Keep moving. Hm.

Is this extra door locked? ]

[The extra door is not locked, and even has a handy clear plexiglass window in it, giving them a good view of the third god, a massive steel giant. It, too, is covered with wires and tubes feeding it orange liquid.]

[Ami gives a wave in silence to let Minako know she's there, keeping a finger to her lips. Her natural tempting makes it impossible for her to be cold or hot so she has not bothered with a suit, nor could she without possibly attracting attention. She joins Lenna and Minako's side. She sees the ice pokemon and looks around, seeing what else there was to see, scanning the pokemon with her Analytic abilities to see if that would garner any further information.]

[ This is bad. And big. This is potentially more than they can handle right now, and with people along who aren't members of the Divine Defense Force. Haruka makes an assessment of the security in the room in case they need it later.

She looks over at Michiru. Is there anything else they can do now, since they've got this chance? ]

[definitely beyond just the two of them.

Haruka gets a glance in return, and then she looks back at the rest of the room. Whatever the other people are writing on - if there's an area with papers and the like, she'll head over there to see if there's any information to be picked up. Otherwise, getting out before they get noticed would be her priority.]

[Ami's analytic gaze shows nothing but static, as is the nature of gods. There are a few note-taking stations, but there are also workers moving around the area in their suits. Nobody seems to have engaged the group - yet]

[All Lenna can do for a few long moments is to simply stare up at the great god in chains before them - a gaze only broken by the sudden sound of Ami's approach. She quickly whirls about to see who's coming, letting out a palpable sigh of relief when it's a friendly face. But she's worried they're about to overstay their welcome here, and glances nervously between the other two women, then back to the way they came in.]

[Minako gave a worried look at the dormant (or was it just being kept sedated?) god. She shook her head. This was terrible. They had to do something, right?

But, what could they do? No. They couldn't do anything about it now. That would be too much for today. They'd only just been granted access to the city. They couldn't afford to ruin things now.

She glanced back at Ami and Lenna and then nodded. They should go.]

[Ami wants those notes. If only to get a look at them, but they also can't risk just taking them. Oh but what she wouldn't give to see what they have. She would just have to make do. Safety was paramount and she wouldn't risk these girls. Unless... She knew with the suit they could blend in, could they get the notes without risking themselves or should she just take what she has seen as enough for now. There was no telling if they would destroy those notes.

She gestured to the two girls and then back to the way they came before also gesturing to the notes. They couldn't risk staying too long. A tentative cease-fire could be destroyed by their being discovered.]

[ Haruka covers for Michiru, blocking others' sight of Michiru heading for the notes if possible and otherwise just looking up at the God and pretending she's supposed to be here. The Elite Four attacked the wrong city. She's sure of that now.

And humanity doesn't have much to say for itself if this is what it does beneath its supposed utopias. ]

[Michiru walks confidently, in tandem with Haruka. Upon reaching the station, she reaches for a file, letting instinct guide her hand.

And you know what? While she's at it, she's going to steal a pen.

[Minako nodded. If Ami felt she could grab the notes quickly, then they could wait. She personally wouldn't know what to look for, but she knew Ami would and could figure it faster than anyone because of her Analyst abilities. Quietly, she moved so Ami would have at least a little bit of cover for what she was going to do.

As she did, though, she had a thought. She tapped her wrist, indicating the warp band. She could take a picture, right? Minako had done that in Glacier with the strange object they'd seen.]
