Around dinner time, all active Warp Bands come to life, a familiar visitor’s face flooding into view. Sveta looks to be broadcasting from a small, furnished room, likely provided by the council for temporary lodging. The lamplight flickers, and she takes a deep breath, smiling. She can hardly contain her excitement as she begins to speak.

“Hello citizens of Union! As you may know, my name is Sveta, a member of the Elite Four from the distant city of Ever Grande. I, along with my colleague Alina and a few others, came to you a few days ago after hearing the stories of your people, and after speaking at length with those around your beautiful city. I can say now with the utmost conviction that we wish for the same world, a place where pokémon and humans can live together in peace and prosperity. We do not have to be governed by the mistakes of the past; we can walk forward, hand-in-hand, toward a perfect and just future.

“The Gods have brought us together, the people of Ever Grande and the people of Union. I believe that now with every fiber of my being! This is divine fate, it is destiny, and we cannot ignore its call!”

Standing, the view shifts, and her expression changes slightly. While still animated, her eyes flash with excitement, and a bit of disdain.

“But there are those who would stand in our way. They place humanity’s needs first, believe that they are the true inheritors of the earth. That was the type of hubris that nearly eradicated the human race from existence. They deserved that fate. Humanity torched the soil, molded it, corrupted it, poisoned it. They attempted to play God, and they were punished for their transgressions.

The Elite Four will not stand for those that might repeat history to rise again. We, along with the people of Union, will act out the Gods’ will, for we are their chosen. It is our job, no, our duty to educate those who do not wish to see the error of their ways—if not with words, than with action. Those who oppose us will see a quick, merciless end; it is the only way.”
Throwing her arms out for emphasis, the icy crystal holding her hair back glows, and frosty fractals begin to materialize on the molding around her room. Her breath comes out in puffs as her energy level reaches a crescendo.

“That we were born in the same era is a blessing of the Gods themselves! Friends, let us create peace together, one where pokémon can live together in peace and harmony! There is no better time than now. We stand on the precipice of change, and together we can soar toward a brave new world!”

And with that, the feed ends.

Then she gets up and heads deeper into the dorms. Her Fire-type is around here somewhere, and they need to have a discussion.

Theater people whom she passes: she may very well not acknowledge noticing you. ]

[Rise pauses her own response to the missive while she gets her composure back. Haruka stalking by is, if not exactly reassuring, at least an indication that someone's on the same page as she is.]

I... used to be wary of all humans, back when I didn't even know I was partially one too.. Or however it is that being a shifter works. I'm not quite sure I understand your plan fully, but is the purpose to eliminate all threat that remain towards your goal? Permanently?

Though he was now one of the Rangers, he still felt like he had no right to intrude upon Union's affairs. While he had thrown his lot and allegiance in with the city, a part of him still felt like the poor kid who grew up on the wrong side of town in Sanctuary.

Lady, I don't care who you think you are or what you think you're talking about, but what makes you think that the people here would follow your vision of using such extreme measures? The people of Union are accustomed to more cooperative methods-- you'll note for yourself, this city has no standing army.

Besides, no one here is going to agree with you. Take your 'brave new world' and go somewhere else. It doesn't sound like a world anyone wants.

You have the Swords of the Savior and the Guard, both of which are formidable forces in their own right. You've also fought unbeatable odds and won the day before. I've heard the stories. Really, the people of Union are quite incredible. You're all so virtuous and resilient!

Besides, are our ideas really all that different from yours? We have the same goals in mind. We want a world were pokémon and humans can live together happily. We still exist due to their love. There are those that don't understand that, and that really is sad. We want to show them our ways.

Being self-aware to avoid the mistakes of the past and make things right is important. How do you explain "destroying people who don't believe" as not playing god yourself?

[Those people with the white dragon, this "Elite Four", who decided that they need to hurt people and make decisions for everyone?]

I know we won't always be able to solve things without fighting, but I can't think of anything more cowardly and unnecessary than "acting out the gods' will" with murder.

[Her voice takes on a higher volume with:] We are Union, we work together without senseless violence and murder. There's always another way, don't resort to the easiest one.

It isn't murder. They choose to not exist in this new world that allows pokémon and humans to live together in harmony. They cling to the old ways, and threaten the very existence of humanity.

Yes, Sveta had spoken of her desire for a peaceful future, but her declarations, her plans for achieving that?

Ymir is once again at her side, this time intent on remaining, glare fixed on the warpband from where he peers over her shoulder. Sophia herself is sitting calmly in the wintery gardens of Redwall, expression quite serious. ]

..Miss Sveta. Might I ask you something?

What you're proposing won't change things. You're only going to drive them away from you. This Elite Four of yours better think hard before they do something like this.

That was very nice. And flattering. But I'm pretty sure we're used to talking our problems out here. It's kinda the Savior's legacy, you know? And it's worked pretty well so far.

I'm not speaking for Union, of course, just my opinion...

Talking would be ideal, I'll admit. But some people, they refuse to be talked to. It's really upsetting, and I don't like it either, but sometimes actions speak much louder than words.

We both want the same things, but what you're calling for isn't really how we do things here. We'll protect, but we don't go looking for fights.

Peace doesn't always come easy. Fighting is inevitable, especially if it's something that will change the world for the better. Not everyone will agree with you. The only way to make them change is to show them the better way, by force.
