Video/Action for the Business District
[Video]
Hey, everybody!
[A red-haired girl in her late teens, perhaps early twenties, is leaning towards the Warp Band -- she'd just made sure it was on -- and flashing a smile down at it. It's bright; it's also practiced, like any true saleswoman's would be. She's done this before.]
My name's Rose. You've probably never heard of us, but we're the Spearowfeathers. We're merchants from Caldera, and we decided that we couldn't let Junes have all the fun.
[She winks.]
...So come check us out! We've set our wagon up in the business district, and we're selling some stuff we brought from Caldera -- and from Glacier, too! If you've got any special requests, you can bring those in, too.
I can also help you with trading Pokemon. I'm really good at that.
[Action, a little while later...]
[...unfortunately, things aren't going quite as well as Rose hoped. The wagon is there, sure, but the Gogoat that was pulling it got away an hour ago -- and all of the running in the world just didn't catch up to it. One of the other Spearowfeathers had been training that particular Pokemon. That leaves their wagon tipped over.]
[And with a cracked wheel, which Rose is holding up, and stuff scattered throughout the street. Spearowfeathers -- wearing their tan trousers and blue vests -- are darting to and fro, picking up goods.]
I... guess this could be going worse.

Kinda chilly, though.

You're from Union, huh?

[She laughs a little. The winter cold does little to dampen Lenna's cheery mood.]
Yes, that's right. My name is Lenna, current head of the Tycoon family. If there's anything I can do to help you and your friends get settled in, please, let me know.
no subject
[Maybe she should investigate a nice coat. Or slippers.] Thanks! I'll do that. You're head of one of Union's noble houses?
[She looks a little young. But, hey, sometimes that happens.]

[Lenna smiles, nodding.]
Yes, that's right. It's a rather recent development, so I don't have an active voice in the Council, but I try to do what I can for the betterment of the city and those living here.
[If Rose reads between the lines of that explanation, she can probably infer that Lenna's current position is the result of missing or dead parents. But that's really up to her if she wants to think that far into things.]

[Rose grins; that grins softens into a smile, though. It's a little sad. She knows all about "recent developments" like that, all things told.]
That's good. People need someone looking out for them! I've mostly been to Caldera and Sanctuary, a couple of times. I've heard of Union -- of course! -- but this is my first time here.
no subject
[Yep. Dead mama, missing papa. Though there's been some movement on that front recently, so Lenna's got hope.]
I agree. There's actually a brand new building called Redwall that was built to do just that - helping people who need a hand to have a place to stay until they can stand on their own.
no subject
You wanna come look, sometime?
[Rose tilts her head, then she smiles.]
That sounds pretty nice. Maybe we can donate to them. I've got a place to stay, but... I'm glad it's there, for people who aren't so lucky.
no subject
And I'm sure Redwall would happily accept any donations you could give. It's that sort of charity that allows them to stay open, after all.

[...or break the wagon. Either/or.]

[...After all, Rose is pretty observant.]
Uh. ...Hey, Lenna. [A beat; the wheel in her hand, freshly put back together, slips a little.] Should I call you Lady Lenna or something?
no subject
Ah! No, just Lenna is fine. But are you all right, Rose? What happened here?
no subject
[Rose sighs.]
Then, we broke an axle, and the wheel came off. And the cart tipped over. Then our product went on the floor.
This is a great start.

[Rose looks around for a moment, taking stock; it's more than her Spearowfeathers can do quickly.]
...We could use the help, though. Sure.
no subject
[She's going to insist.]

[She starts stacking stuff up in one of the crates she righted.]
Let me know if you see something you want, too! We can get you a sweet discount, since you're helping us!
no subject
[Lenna smiles, helping to stack things.]
What kind of clothing do you have?
