Sixth Prayer: Blazing Soul [Video/Action]

Action, near the Flower Grove:

[Evening had fallen, coming on quicker than she'd expected and Rei hadn't brought along any of the Pokemon she had that could teleport her or fly them home, so camping for the night had been the best bet. With Makoto and other friends not really prepared for a trek home in the dark, in this weather, it was the safest bet, anyway. And with her and Casius' natural body heat, it wasn't exactly like the large tent was anything short of cozy. Dinner had been simple, and sleep had come easily after a hard day of training and searching.

And then the dream started. Intense emotions swelled in Rei and it wasn't long before she woke up gasping, hands clutching at her chest. Breathing was hard, the air in the tent cloying and almost humid, and she stumbled out with a choked off cry. Which was when the change hit her. There was little chance of anyone or anything in the area missing her surprised scream. A sudden, intense shock of psychic power rippled across the nearby area, a psychokinetic shockwave not unlike the clouds that precede a volcanic eruption.,

Then came the fire. Lots of fire. A pillar of flame stabbed into the heavens over the little campsite, melting snow and frightening away a flock of now awakened Pidgey. At the center of it all, Rei threw up her arms and screamed again, desperately trying to find some way to make it calm down, to get control again so the spectacle doesn't continue. It's too much, a display of power she'll likely never manage again. And one that's bound to attract some sort of attention.]

[When Rei addresses the network this evening, there's some obvious differences in her appearance than the last time she'd used the Warp Band. The first, perhaps most obvious, is the glowing sigil on her forehead and the burning orbs in the air around her. The second is the way the light catches her eyes, and the sheer intensity of them. They'd always been bright, but there's something new there, a not-quite fire dancing behind them. Her voice is light, almost amused, but also touched with a bit of worry. She's tired of this.]

So I've been having nightmares the past few nights. Bad ones about falling and drowning and worse. I thought I'd try and get away from them tiring myself out with some training, but that hasn't seemed to have helped. How do you deal with them?

[It's a call for help and advice in general, and at the same time she's hoping that it'll bring certain others to contact her too. They'd know who they were. If they don't think, the other Senshi can expect a private text message sent to them the next morning, simply asking if they have time to talk.]

Not...really, no. I've been going to sleep about the same time as usual. The only difference, maybe, is that I've been sleeping lighter.

[All the glowing and stuff is really new. Really, really new.]

Well - generally I throw myself into work, but as that doesn't seem to help - I would suggest chamomile or lavender tea before sleeping, it seems to help in my case.

That...was something I tried initially. They've gotten a bit worse of late, after my first evolution.

[She looks away, frowning slightly.]

I'm honestly worried this time it'll get even worse.

[ It's not necessary to know Rei well to notice that there is something different with her tonight. That glowing mark on her forehead, the overwhelming shine in her eyes, those orbs of fire around her... she can understand what happened with ease being also an enlightened (evolution, she evolved into a stronger Rei while remaining the same inside her heart) yet the sight takes her breathe away all the same.

Against her own will Kotori shivers.
It's Rei, she has no doubts about it, yet those changes and the ethereal shape she is taking make her seem much more distant than she was as the unknown, mysterious, priestess she met. Irrational as it is she finds herself wondering if Rei will become even more unreachable as time goes on.]

[Well, the trip out to the Flower Grove had been relatively quiet, not that Makoto was upset about that at all. Searching for Eevees was hardly what she'd call really simple, but she'd been having fun with her friend and their Pokémon too. Cotton loved being around the other girl and Usato tried to not...get into too much danger.

The tent for the night was nice and toasty, and she'd been really sleeping deeply when Rei's scream woke her up quickly. She ran out to find her friend a veritable pillar of bright, hot fire. A part of her wanted to run out to help Rei, but she knew that she'd burn herself on all that heat.

However, she couldn't do nothing.]

Rei-chan!

[Rei turned to look at the voice, her eyes wide and glowing brilliantly. Dark purple flames danced behind her gaze and she seemed to focus on the voice, trying hard to rein in the power swirling all around her. It works a bit, the heat abating a little at least, as she directs it skyward.]

Mako-chan! S-Stay! S-s-stay back! I don't know if I can...control it y-yet!

[Eiji is actually out and about when he sees that video feed. He pauses, realizing he's not sure where she is right now (he needs to stop losing track of people that like, someone else has already gone missing.) but the change is very clear and the words.]

[Well. He's kind of concerned.]

I don't have much advice for that particular conundrum, I'm afraid. [Hahaha nightmares haha....]

But if you want someone to talk to...

[Rei's eyes dance as she focuses her attention on him. Eiji is one of the people she'll always go out of her way for, one of those people she doesn't want to live without. Not anymore. So he's a focal point. Someone she can keep in mind, anchor herself with.]

I...could use that. I really....think that I need to talk about these dreams. [At the thought of them, the fire flares again, the wisps turning into miniature stars.]

They're upsetting. And I should not be keeping them to myself.

[Asemu can't help but stare at the symbol briefly. Then he decides he'd better talk.]

Um. Have you tried using Dream Eater?

[Rei stares back, and the symbol seems to shimmer in the firelight from her foxfire.]

If it's the same bad dream over and over again... sometimes I realize I'm dreaming halfway through it. Then I try to change it into something nice if I can.

[This probably only works because of his psychic powers, but.]

[She pauses, because the boy's suggestion does seem to have some merit. His general demeanor seems]

[Ami was doing some night time training with Athena and Minerva in the flower grove, Aurora and Darwin with her to help with the training. When she saw the pillar of fire she gasped. Her eyes widened and she rushed forward, her mind thinking quickly.]

Rei-chan!

[She turned to Drawin.]

Darwin, make a barrier of ice around the pillar, try and keep it in one area to prevent it from using the grass as fuel.

[Ami then encased her arms and legs in ice and moved closer towards the fire.]

Darwin! Use hail! Athena, Minnie, create a whirlwind with the hail storm and focus it on the fire!

[She may have to summon all of her water and ice pokemon, but she would if she needed.]

[The inferno that is Rei turns towards the sound of Ami's voice, focusing on that. The attacks seem diminished, somehow, like the intense heat is evaporating a lot of the water and flash-melting the ice, but it does keep the flames from burning any of the local flora.]

Ami-chan! W-What are you doing here?!

[She's surprised by the appearance, and desperately fights to gain control of the heat, pulling it more in through sheer focus. She can feel her pyrokinetic powers reaching a new peak, manipulating the flame, but it'll take time. And those flames are hungry...]

[ Well, any hope for her to compete with her just went down the toilet. ]

Rei, is that you?! You look completely different!

[Rei nods, dipping her head. The sigil’s light catches, a ruby tint briefly filling the feed.]

Do I? I…evolved, I’m sure of it, but I don’t have a mirror.

But I don't know if they'll work on you. If it's something like that, you might wanna look into them further.

[ She hadn't been able to go with them to the Flower Grove, but, as soon as she sees Rei's new form on the network, Usagi kind of wishes she had gone. It's a lot to take in, to be honest, but one of the things that she takes note of is... ]

[She smiles. It's a bit wan, but it's still a smile. It didn't hurt, it was just a bit of a shock.]
