Sixth Prayer: Blazing Soul [Video/Action]
Action, near the Flower Grove:
[Evening had fallen, coming on quicker than she'd expected and Rei hadn't brought along any of the Pokemon she had that could teleport her or fly them home, so camping for the night had been the best bet. With Makoto and other friends not really prepared for a trek home in the dark, in this weather, it was the safest bet, anyway. And with her and Casius' natural body heat, it wasn't exactly like the large tent was anything short of cozy. Dinner had been simple, and sleep had come easily after a hard day of training and searching.
And then the dream started. Intense emotions swelled in Rei and it wasn't long before she woke up gasping, hands clutching at her chest. Breathing was hard, the air in the tent cloying and almost humid, and she stumbled out with a choked off cry. Which was when the change hit her. There was little chance of anyone or anything in the area missing her surprised scream. A sudden, intense shock of psychic power rippled across the nearby area, a psychokinetic shockwave not unlike the clouds that precede a volcanic eruption.,
Then came the fire. Lots of fire. A pillar of flame stabbed into the heavens over the little campsite, melting snow and frightening away a flock of now awakened Pidgey. At the center of it all, Rei threw up her arms and screamed again, desperately trying to find some way to make it calm down, to get control again so the spectacle doesn't continue. It's too much, a display of power she'll likely never manage again. And one that's bound to attract some sort of attention.]
Video:
[When Rei addresses the network this evening, there's some obvious differences in her appearance than the last time she'd used the Warp Band. The first, perhaps most obvious, is the glowing sigil on her forehead and the burning orbs in the air around her. The second is the way the light catches her eyes, and the sheer intensity of them. They'd always been bright, but there's something new there, a not-quite fire dancing behind them. Her voice is light, almost amused, but also touched with a bit of worry. She's tired of this.]
So I've been having nightmares the past few nights. Bad ones about falling and drowning and worse. I thought I'd try and get away from them tiring myself out with some training, but that hasn't seemed to have helped. How do you deal with them?
[It's a call for help and advice in general, and at the same time she's hoping that it'll bring certain others to contact her too. They'd know who they were. If they don't think, the other Senshi can expect a private text message sent to them the next morning, simply asking if they have time to talk.]
no subject
You think so?
[He grins.]
That would come with it's own problems, I think.
no subject
[The power to defy all logic, at the very least.]
It's our family, I guess. But I think you'll handle it just fine.

I'm referring mostly to how my next form will probably be much more sensitive to the heat, and I find that those closest to me tend to dabble the most with fire.
no subject
[Even if she routinely is just...hot enough to need special clothing.]

[And then he pauses. He's still worried about Ankh. If he decided to go back to the wilds, he can't really be upset, it was his choice, after all, but he would have liked something better than the goodbye he received. Which to say it was just a few of his feathers left behind on his bed.]
[Either way.]
You may still find me melted into a puddle, however.
no subject
[Melting, much like swooping, is bad.]
Thank you for coming to see me though.
no subject
[It's true.]
Of course. Truth be told, I have been worried ever since you told me what you did in the scorched forest. I just want you to know that it doesn't really matter what it is, you can talk to me if something is bothering you.
no subject
[That is also true.]
And...you've been worried? About what? Just...about my visions? About how I've been feeling, with everything tied into the past?
no subject
[What if it takes her away? Maybe he should be more concerned about what it could mean for their world, if anything, but he is guilty of being much more concerned for his cousin than that.]
[Not to mention how little he can actually do to help if something were to happen. That also bothers him a lot. Feeling powerless...]
no subject
[Her eyes close and she reaches out a hand to him, if he'll take it.]
Just being Enlightened makes us more than ordinary. Being Hinos, and being Enlightened? To say nothing of these dreams? Of the connection to the past? [She leans a bit closer.] It was always going to be bigger than us.
no subject
[So, of course what's to say that battle wasn't going to come sooner than later?]
[Why did he still feel like there was nothing he could do? He hated this feeling.]
[He quietly takes her hand, keeping his eyes on them.]
Mm. I suppose you're right.
no subject
I know it's all confusing. I'm confused too. But these dreams? I think they're possible futures. The most recent ones I mean, the nightmares. I'm afraid...but I know...that when the times comes, things will all begin to make more sense. I'll be a part of something bigger.
[A pause, and a heavy sigh.]
I know I don't have to ask if you'll stand beside me. It'd be stupid of me to expect that you'd do anything less than follow me, right?
no subject
[His smile returns.]
I'll be by your side, only because I know you wouldn't let me stand in front.
[As much as he has the instinct to protect Rei, he knows that Rei can fight for herself and that this was a battle for her. He had no right trying to protect her from something like destiny.]
no subject
[Rei wouldn't let anyone take lumps that were meant for her. Except maybe if you count her Pokemon. Or Haruka.]
I know I can count on you, Eiji. And that...[She takes a deep breath. This was hard. This was one of the hardest things she'd ever said to someone.] That...means a lot to me. Knowing I can trust you. I don't think I ever doubted your word. But...trust. After...father...
no subject
[He shakes his head.]
I understand. Our family definitely doesn't have the best track record of human decency.
[A beat.]
I'm moved that you've put so much faith in me. I'll do my best to uphold that.
no subject
I know you will. Because you're family. You, Grandpapa, the other girls...even Ankh-kun.
[Just never ask her to say that in front of the shitbird.]
Nevermind your parents and my father. My family has an excellent record, if you burn away the impurities.
