Sixth Prayer: Blazing Soul [Video/Action]
Action, near the Flower Grove:
[Evening had fallen, coming on quicker than she'd expected and Rei hadn't brought along any of the Pokemon she had that could teleport her or fly them home, so camping for the night had been the best bet. With Makoto and other friends not really prepared for a trek home in the dark, in this weather, it was the safest bet, anyway. And with her and Casius' natural body heat, it wasn't exactly like the large tent was anything short of cozy. Dinner had been simple, and sleep had come easily after a hard day of training and searching.
And then the dream started. Intense emotions swelled in Rei and it wasn't long before she woke up gasping, hands clutching at her chest. Breathing was hard, the air in the tent cloying and almost humid, and she stumbled out with a choked off cry. Which was when the change hit her. There was little chance of anyone or anything in the area missing her surprised scream. A sudden, intense shock of psychic power rippled across the nearby area, a psychokinetic shockwave not unlike the clouds that precede a volcanic eruption.,
Then came the fire. Lots of fire. A pillar of flame stabbed into the heavens over the little campsite, melting snow and frightening away a flock of now awakened Pidgey. At the center of it all, Rei threw up her arms and screamed again, desperately trying to find some way to make it calm down, to get control again so the spectacle doesn't continue. It's too much, a display of power she'll likely never manage again. And one that's bound to attract some sort of attention.]
Video:
[When Rei addresses the network this evening, there's some obvious differences in her appearance than the last time she'd used the Warp Band. The first, perhaps most obvious, is the glowing sigil on her forehead and the burning orbs in the air around her. The second is the way the light catches her eyes, and the sheer intensity of them. They'd always been bright, but there's something new there, a not-quite fire dancing behind them. Her voice is light, almost amused, but also touched with a bit of worry. She's tired of this.]
So I've been having nightmares the past few nights. Bad ones about falling and drowning and worse. I thought I'd try and get away from them tiring myself out with some training, but that hasn't seemed to have helped. How do you deal with them?
[It's a call for help and advice in general, and at the same time she's hoping that it'll bring certain others to contact her too. They'd know who they were. If they don't think, the other Senshi can expect a private text message sent to them the next morning, simply asking if they have time to talk.]

[Makoto notices the self-defense gesture from her friend and moves closer, to within a couple of feet. The flames aren't so bad, and on a chilly night like tonight, it's actually kinda nice.]
You know, if you keep this up, I could probably use your flames to make breakfast for everyone.

You're even warmer than before, but nothing's wrong with you. How do you feel?
no subject
[The sigil and the wisps have not died away, either, but with Makoto right there? Well, she can't help but hug her. Out of relief really.]
Much, much stronger.
no subject
Well, I would hope so, with all the pain it looks like you just went through. [Makoto hasn't evolved yet, but after watching that scene, she's not sure she wants to.] Are you okay now? Do you need me to do anything?
no subject
[Rei smiles, genuine but definitely not without some sense of exhaustion to it.]
What I really need is just...you to stay here. We...should talk about something. Something important that I have neglected to ask you about. But it's important, and...now's as good a time as any. It'll calm me down at least.
no subject
Of course. I'm not going anywhere. And I doubt either of us is going back to sleep any time soon.
no subject
[Rei waves a hand, a casual gesture of psychic power (more than she'll ever manage without major strain again. Thanks evolution) and a large log floats over and settles behind them. Rei sits, and looks at Makoto hard.]
Have you...been having dreams?
no subject
She sits next to Rei and blinks at the mention of dreams before frowning.]
A few. After you left that first night back, I had one filled with screams and it felt like there were fires everywhere.
no subject
Have they been recurring? And do you remember any details?
no subject
A few times. There are people standing close by but they aren't the ones screaming. I remember an earthquake too.
no subject
Mine were like that at first too.
no subject
[Makoto bites her lip before speaking again.]
Both Haruka-san and Michiru-san said something about dreams when I got back. Is this all involved?
no subject
[She scootches closer, wrapping her arm around the bigger girl's waist in a one armed hug.]
This...you probably don't remember it. But yes. It's involved. Our dreams? Are of one another. And of the war.
no subject
I'd ask if you're sure, but you normally don't speak without thinking for a long time about it first. The war...You mean the war we learn about in school, with the Savior and the gods and everything?
[She shudders, but it's not from the cold.]
no subject
I do. That war. With the gods. I...think...we're seeing dreams of our past lives.
And I think? We were there. Haruka-san and Michiru-san agree. So does Ami-chan.
no subject
[Because, if they've all had dreams about it, that's more than just a coincidence. She's just not sure what it all means, honestly.]
no subject
no subject
[Because that's not ominous.
Oh, hey, Rei, have a Chikorita rubbing against you in the cold. Usato doesn't have fur like Hime or Mareep, so could you please keep him warm, nice friend of Trainer?]
Like I disappeared a while ago or something different?
no subject
[Rei has no problems with this. She even reaches down to scritch Usato. And not to be forgotten, Casius lopes out of the scorched grass, wandering to Mako and nuzzling her with his big, wet doggy nose.]
no subject
[Makoto absently pets the Arcanine as she wonders aloud. Nothing really makes sense, but she's okay with finally talking about them outside of the strange mentions from Haruka-san and Michiru-san the first day.]
It's gotta be something important.
no subject
[Rei sighs because she doesn't really want to talk about them if Makoto isn't ready, but she's asking so.]
I think they're something to do with our pasts. I don't mean this life. I mean...actual past lives. I think, and the others seem to agree, that we're seeing scenes from the war. And how we were involved.
no subject
[She remembers a few snatches of the last dream she had, surrounded by semi-familiar people, fear and dying everywhere. It's scary.]
Involved how?
no subject
[She looks at Makoto, her expression vaguely troubled.]
And...how do you think we were involved?
no subject
I can't imagine you or I just letting it happen. We were fighting as best we could.
