Action, near the Flower Grove:

[Evening had fallen, coming on quicker than she'd expected and Rei hadn't brought along any of the Pokemon she had that could teleport her or fly them home, so camping for the night had been the best bet. With Makoto and other friends not really prepared for a trek home in the dark, in this weather, it was the safest bet, anyway. And with her and Casius' natural body heat, it wasn't exactly like the large tent was anything short of cozy. Dinner had been simple, and sleep had come easily after a hard day of training and searching.

And then the dream started. Intense emotions swelled in Rei and it wasn't long before she woke up gasping, hands clutching at her chest. Breathing was hard, the air in the tent cloying and almost humid, and she stumbled out with a choked off cry. Which was when the change hit her. There was little chance of anyone or anything in the area missing her surprised scream. A sudden, intense shock of psychic power rippled across the nearby area, a psychokinetic shockwave not unlike the clouds that precede a volcanic eruption.,

Then came the fire. Lots of fire. A pillar of flame stabbed into the heavens over the little campsite, melting snow and frightening away a flock of now awakened Pidgey. At the center of it all, Rei threw up her arms and screamed again, desperately trying to find some way to make it calm down, to get control again so the spectacle doesn't continue. It's too much, a display of power she'll likely never manage again. And one that's bound to attract some sort of attention.]

[When Rei addresses the network this evening, there's some obvious differences in her appearance than the last time she'd used the Warp Band. The first, perhaps most obvious, is the glowing sigil on her forehead and the burning orbs in the air around her. The second is the way the light catches her eyes, and the sheer intensity of them. They'd always been bright, but there's something new there, a not-quite fire dancing behind them. Her voice is light, almost amused, but also touched with a bit of worry. She's tired of this.]

So I've been having nightmares the past few nights. Bad ones about falling and drowning and worse. I thought I'd try and get away from them tiring myself out with some training, but that hasn't seemed to have helped. How do you deal with them?

[It's a call for help and advice in general, and at the same time she's hoping that it'll bring certain others to contact her too. They'd know who they were. If they don't think, the other Senshi can expect a private text message sent to them the next morning, simply asking if they have time to talk.]

Let's see. There's some weird fire flying around you, and a mark on your forehead. Here, one sec.

[ She ducks out of the frame, rummaging through her bag. Oh come on, she's got to have some--yes! Paper and charcoal! Now we're talking. Time for some masterful art! Time to doodle a shrine maiden. ]

[Rei frowns a bit.]

Yeah, hold on I'll show you.

[ You can't rush art, Rei. And, sure enough, after a few minutes she holds up a paper to the feed. She definitely gets a gold "you tried" star for the effort here, because an artist she is not. She does manage to get the symbol somewhat right, although she also tried to draw Rei's picture in general.

It's a bit elementary. She uses actions lines for the glowy bits, and little spiral orbs for flames. It even has little scribbled notes on it. She's pretty proud of it. ]

[Rei tries hard not to laugh, not wanting to hurt the eager girl's feelings. She definitely gets a gold star.]

That's...pretty different. I wonder how long that will last.

[ Yes gold star! ]

I dunno, I've never seen anything like it. Usually when the Valkyries evolve, they get wings and stuff. Those are permanent.

It doesn't hurt, right?

Not at all. I wouldn't have noticed unless you said something.

And I suppose that's a difference between our cultures. Though my cousin grew wings when he evolved.

He did? What kind of wings?

Well, big feathery ones. Like a bird.

That sounds a lot like when the Valkyries evolve.

Does it? I don't know much about Valkyries.

Most of them are flying types and come from a bunch of different tribes, although a lot live in Citadel too. The fighters are all women.

Is that so? No men at all?

There are men in the tribes, but they don't fight.

Not at all? Truly?

[That seems odd to her, but she’s used to Union’s society..

[ Sanae shakes her head. ]

That's right.

[ Was it really that weird? ]

[Rei nods.]
