[Warp bands are still too foreign for her and being this her first time ever trying to use the network she is actually pretty lost about how to use it. While she originally planned to use only the audio function for this she seems to have chosen video too by mistake, an error that now shows an image of her awkwardly close to the camera.]

I recently moved from Caldera and saw lots of cute decorations around. Can anyone tell me more about them?

[The amount of candy going around caught her attention more than the decorations though, as expected of a huge sweetooth like her.]

[Not only a young girl, a deerling and a surskit are sitting right by this fancy pokepuff shop snacking on a generous sized pack of them without any care in the world, though luckily not clogging the entrance at least, but they also have a surprising amount of luggage with them which only makes the scene even more bizarre. Few things can top the sight of a lively surskit eating pokepuffs that are about it's own size when it comes to absurd sights to begin with.

The girl finishes eating her own portion happily and casually wonders something before reaching for the next pink treat.]

Do you think they'll let me have the recipe, Deery?

[Finally back in Union from her trip, she's passing shops looking for her own place to snack. As she passes the pokepuff shop, she sees Kotori with all that luggage, the pokemon, and the food, and becomes a little curious.]

Oh? That's a lot of luggage. How did you get that all the way over here without getting all sweaty? [She was sort of a mess when she got to Union.]

[She was caught by the other girl when in the middle of eating the next pokepuff and thus she puts it down after a bite in an effort to turn her attention to Honoka. Sadly her surskit sees it as a chance to stealthy begin munching on it instead.]

My Mother's friends helped me with the journey until the Lake shrine and Deery helped afterwards. He is actually pretty strong.

[The deerling seems embarrassed by the praise.]

[ ...Is that some kind of bird on the camera? Maki's own Purrloin ears perk up when she see's the other girl, deciding she can help her out. Brushing her hair out of her face, Maki tries to sound knowledgeable but distant, the usual tsundere thing she's got going on. ]

Another from Caldera? I feel like there's going to be a lot of explaining to do for all you new transplants. It's a festival coming up, where people usually dress up and eat candy and things like that. You don't have anything like it in Caldera?

[It's a good thing that Kotori isn't put off so easily by the tsundere attitude, she has dealt with stubborn children people before. She replies in a happy voice... but too close to the camera still.]

Welcome to Union, miss. The decorations are for a festival coming up called Soulfasting! The holiday dates back to a long time ago, if you'd like to hear the details behind it.

[Natalia nods excitedly.] The festival is to pay respects to those who've passed on--the name comes from a ceremony that happens at the start of the festival that symbolizes the joining of the world of the living and the world of the spirits. Masks are involved, too... I don't quite remember what it started out as, but these days, the masks are of Ghost and Dark-types to ward off the mischief of ghosts and spirits.

People used to leave offerings for spirits--sweet things, mostly! Sometimes children go around neighborhoods during the last night of the holiday and get treats from the people in the houses.

... It's my favorite holiday. [It's said a bit sheepishly.]

Not completely serious. There are some rituals, but a lot of people like to get together and have fun. It's about coming together and celebrating family and friends, both living and not.

[The image of Rei dressed in her priest clothes with two Mukrow by her side is truly impressive and novel for Kotori. The girl leans closer to her warp band in a silly attempt to see her more closely. By the end only her yellow left eye is visible in the video.]

[Well...this is troubling. Yakumo is trying to get out of the Pokepuff shop but it seems a little more crowded than she's comfortable with. So she's probably getting up with an Espurr and a Pikachu in tow and trying to hurry out.

Which leads her to accidentally bump into the girl. And look extremely embarrassed, even over a little bump Yakumo and contact are not good.]

[While the bump was surprising the impact itself was very small, not even Silk fell from it's unsafe position on top of Kotori's luggage, which made the other girl's apologize surprising. Kotori blinks as she gazes her way.]

Don't worry about it, really! it was just a light contact.

[As she speaks the brave little Surskit seems to grow curious about Yakumo's own friends though and quickly begins making it's way closer to her...]
