I've been reviewing some of your running times. I'm not impressed. We need to get some serious training in if we want to be ready to perform. I'm working on a new regimen right now. I want to get everyone on it immediately.

I've noticed a lot of different styles of both swordplay and dance here in Union. Is anybody particularly proficient in either? I'd like to learn some of Union's techniques, if possible.

[Spring has arrived, but it's still pretty chill out there. Perhaps that's why you've come to the Hot Springs - the water's always steamy hot, regardless of the time of year. Or perhaps you're looking for that one Pokemon companion that you've always wanted here. Of course, this may all be new to you, still, and you just wanted to explore purely out of curiosity.

Regardless of the reason, anyone entering the Hot Springs today will see a young man sitting on the edge of one of the springs, feet soaking in the steaming water and chatting with a Slakoth that's just floating on the surface.] You only need to eat six leaves? You're sure?

Sla...Ko... [~Oh, yeah...twice as much...as the others.~ The Slakoth replied in the lazy manner typical of his species.]

Twice as much?! Man, I couldn't think of eating so little just to get by...

Riolu. [~That's because you've got the stomach of a Snorlax.~ Soft Steel teasingly quips from the spring to Right's left. The Riolu's enjoying a full soak, but is still keeping one eye on the Togepi chatting away with Kisetsu, who in turn is now sporting a nice pink fur coat.]

Hey...I can't help it if I get hungry more than most folks! [...Oh, yeah - Right is only wearing a towel around his waist. Hope any humans wandering in wouldn't mind that bit.]

Good afternoon citizens of Union!

I'd like to thank everyone who helped me get settled here in your generous city! So, if I can borrow a moment of your time, I'd like to make you all an offer.

See, I'm a photographer and thanks to taking a few odd jobs, I've finally been able to save up for a camera to get back to work. The problem is that I don't have a single picture for a portfolio here in Union. It's hard to start a business when you've got nothing to show for your ability.

That's where all of you come in!

I'm offering anyone who contacts me in the next week a free photo of some kind. It can be of anything. You, your pokemon, your food, you name it. You'll get one copy and then I'll get the negatives to add to my personal portfolio.

[Sometime later in the day, everyone on the Warp Band will receive the feed of a young male adult dressed in a Union-style winter outfit, sitting with a pouting Lillipup on his lap and a humming fruit sitting on his shoulder munching on a Poffin being held up by her new human friend. Said human is looking a little tired, but he's got a big, hopeful grin on his face.]

Hello, everyone! Right here! Ah, to all my friends and family - sorry for taking off without warning you guys earlier. I thought I might spend a little time around the Forest Shrine and use the peace around this area to practice for an upcoming audition. With my new lucky friend Springtime here-- [Right nods to the Cherubi on his shoulder.] --I think we're finally ready to do it. So...just wanted to let everyone know that I'm okay, we're all okay, and we'll be returning home shortly!

And, ah...Haruka, wasn't it? If you're seeing this, know that I'll be over at the Divine Theater soon for that audition! Hope your ready for it like I am!

[Later that day, Hanayo opens up another Warp Band broadcast - this time, to the entire city of Union. She's in the Water type area of the Pokemon habitat, wearing a cute sailor suit type outfit and standing on a small platform. There are two Sharpedo floating in the water to either side of her.]

U-um...! Hello, everyone! My name is Hanayo Koizumi, and I'm training to become a Pokemon idol! These are my Sharpedo, Hidari and Migi, and we're going to perform for you! Th-this is a work in progress...

[And with that somewhat stilted intro, Hanayo and the two Sharpedo begin their performance. She doesn't have any music backing her up, and isn't much of a songwriter, but at least she's trying. The song itself is about how much she loves rice - Honoka's earlier transmission gave her an idea and she just couldn't let go of it. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense in the context of singing and dancing with Water types, so the whole experience is really rather odd.

And besides that, the Sharpedo on the left seems to have forgotten the routine halfway through. But hey, at least he's persistent! A true idol can never abandon the performance halfway through, even if they're a complete screw-up. Hanayo, similarly, is a trooper, and even though it's written all over her face that she's nervous performing in front of an audience like this, she manages to make it all the way through her song and dance with minimal stumbling and voice cracking.]

Ah... th-thank you very much! I hope you enjoyed the show!

[The feed is very quickly shut off.]

[Wow, Union, did you miss your loudest and brashest little idol? ~~JUST SAY YES~~ Because here's Nico, looking even more excited than ever as she sets up her warp band to record an obviously staged performance. She's wearing a cute and frilly outfit as six of her pokemon are lined up: her Jigglypuff, Shroomish, Nuzleaf, Skiploom, Gloom and Marill, fidgeting anxiously]

Hi, everyone! I know it's been a while, but Nico-ni has been preparing a very special announcement for you all! After all the scary things that happened last month, I thought that maybe idols should be cute and tough! So we've been working not just on our routines, but on getting stronger too! And today, we get to show you how it all pays off!

[She jumps to the side so her pokemon can take center stage and snaps her fingers to Puri, her Jigglypuff, who's first in line]

( And much sparkling transformations ensued )

I'd like to thank Ezreal and Melaka for providing the stones used and- [And suddenly, she starts glowing, lighting up the camera. It's so surprising she steps back and her pokemon are staring as she starts giving off sparkles as well and then there's one last flash-!

Nico's standing there, lookign the same as ever except - now she has little pointed black horns poking out of her hair on top of her head. They're easy to miss, being the same color as her hair, but much harder to miss is... the long, spade-tipped tail coming out from under her frilly skirt, curling about.]

H-huh? A, ah, ow! [She's suddenly pulling at the back of her dress, clawing at the zipper as she gives a panicked look at the camera] K, Kara, shut it off!

[There's an obedient caw as her Murkrow hits the warp band, ending the feed]

[Nico can be seen around Union, in her new, evolved form - she seems rather pleased with her horns and that tail swishes about happily, but most obviously, she's showing off the shimmering, fairy-like wings on her back, now that she's wearing a low-backed dress. Translucent, they're only about ten inches long, fluttery things that obviously won't let her fly, but it seems they're good enough she can jump quite bit higher, easily verticaling her own height, 2 leaps up on top of a one-story building and softly landing back on the street as she jumps down, her murkrow flying after her with a worried look as she hops about]

[The feed starts off with a smiling face of a ginger some of you may remember. Honoka stands there for a moment looking into it before blinking, tapping it, and then realizing it's already recording.]

Oh! Hi there, my name is Honoka Kousaka! Some of you may remember me from before-- I went home to Caldera over the Salvation holiday, but now I'm back! Aaaand I have a very important question for all of you!!

[She sets her warp band down and spins away from it, balling her hands into fists and standing with her feet set apart and a broad smile on her face.]

Music is universal, so I wanted to ask the people of Union this-- and I'd love to know if you're from another city like I am, too! Love songs are generally written about people, but... What if you could write a love song about your favorite food? Everyone loves to eat-- my personal favorite food is bread! So, beloved citizens of Union, I ask you: Would you listen to a love song about bread?!

[Off on the side of a street, Honoka is sitting on the ground amidst a pile of building supplies. She doesn't really look like she has any kind of an idea of what she's doing, but she sure looks determined to be doing it. She's tapping together pieces of wood and other things with nails, and there's a big banner behind her that reads "Unionomura☆!" in her endearing sloppy penmanship. She hums a happy tune while she puts things together all sorts of not-well, and seems entirely undeterred by the fact that whatever it is she's trying to "build" has fallen apart three times.]

[Someone who knows how to build things, please please come tell her she's Doing It Wrong.]

[The video is kind of hazy at first. Likely because who ever is handling the warp band is not accustomed to such devices. Also, they appear to be very close to the ground. After a moment it focuses on a young man, sitting on the edge of a fountain near one of the more busiest areas of Union.]

--getting here was the hard part. I need work but I don't have any of my gear on me. Not that I could set up a darkroom in the park or anything. We definitely need somewhere to sleep tonight.

[A loud frustrated sigh.]

Goro, what do you th-- [And that's when he realizes his pokemon friend is up to no good. His eyes go wide and his face goes pale.]

Goro!

[Anyone understanding Pokespeak will hear a Cubone who doesn't sound even a little bit sorry. You wanted help, so I helped! Now a lot of people will know you're looking for work! You should be thanking me!.]

[Hayato is not gifted in understanding Pokemon so he just gives him a flat look, probably guessing what he was probably saying and then reaching for the warp band. Goro drops it and scurries away. He'll appear proper on the warp band now with a slight twitch.]

...That was not the introduction I wanted to make to Union, but someone took it upon themselves to do it anyway. Ah- sorry anyone who was watching that. Since I'm already here, I'll just say it.

[He puts on a friendly smile this time.] My name's Hayato and I just came to town. I'm looking for work and maybe a place to sleep. I'm a photographer by trade but right now all I need is something to get by until I can buy new equipment.

[ Maki's at her piano today, tucking her hair behind her ear as she starts. ]

I've been working on a new song in the last couple weeks, but I'm having trouble thinking up lyrics. I'm not very good at thinking up words for my songs.

[ She's a little embarrassed to admit that in public, but she needs help! ]

It's kind of a love song, I guess you could say. But after last week I have a hard time writing anything...

[ Like breaking up with her girlfriend Chie so that she can hopefully be asked out by Nico. Life is tough. ]

You see that yellow-and-red blur that just charged out of the door of the Tatsumi Gallery?

"Come back, you! I was workin' on that!"

That would be Kanji's Plusle. For something so small and sweet, it sure pulls out all the stops to annoy its trainer, sometimes. Such as, in this case, yanking a length of ribbon off a display he's setting up and deciding it would make a perfect improvised kite... it's sprinting down the street, waving the ribbon, taunting, going all out.

Not what Kanji was looking for today, that's for sure.

And so, the chase begins.

On one side: a foot of fluff and sparks. On the other: six foot and more of muscle and bad temper. Who's going to win?

[Action; Hanayo's house]

[Anyone passing by Hanayo's house in the residential district today will most likely notice a flurry of activity if they happen to pass by the slightly open window of the kitchen. There is steam rising from out the window from a truly massive amount of rice being cooked, and amid the periodic sounds of running water and dishes being moved around, it's easy to pick out Hanayo's voice ringing out loud and clear as she cheerfully sings to herself. There's apparently something special going on today, as she sounds much clearer and more confident than usual.]

[Action; around town]

[Throughout the day, Hanayo can be found around the city buying supplies for what she's up to at home. Most noticeable is the twenty-pound bag of rice she's carrying over her shoulder like it's no big thing. It's quite impressive for a girl as relatively petite as she is. She's still humming as she goes, too.]

[Late in the day, Hanayo appears on the Warp Band - utterly surrounded by rice balls decorated and flavored with everything under the sun, and looking a little embarrassed at how carried away she's gotten.]

Um... I lost track of things and made too many rice balls today.

[Understatement of the year.]

It would be a shame to waste them, so would anyone like some?

[After the event, Eri needed something to keep her mind off the events that had lead to Nozomi getting hurt and also her intense desire to punch that Enlightened girl in the face. Thus, she was in one of the training rooms, drilling her Pokemon on dance. She's perhaps a bit sharper today than she might normally be, calling out errors with lightning precision, but the team takes it in stride. Unfortunately, this particular studio is ensconced within the center of one of the towers, and if anybody has every seen a Nidoqueen and Dragonite pirouette with the grace of a ballerina, they know that it does make a bit of noise for the people on the floor below, no matter how well-insulated it is. And to their credit, the particular Nidoqueen and Dragonite are exceptionally graceful. Just. Noisy.]

After the recent events, I'll be returning to Caldera for a few days to see how things are going and assist in any recovery efforts. I expect they're handling things well, but it's my duty as a former citizen to lend a hand. Is anyone else from Caldera planning to go out as well? If so we should go together. I have a contact in the Steel Battalion that can give us our assignments.

[ It's a rare occasion that Nozomi makes a transmission from her apartment, let alone her bedroom. Very little of it is seen, save for her headboard and a few ruffly pillows, which she uses to prop herself up. Her expression is a bit hazy, as she tries to resume her usual smile, although today it feels a bit dim. She is dressed in pajamas, although she has a blanket covering herself from the chest up. ]

Hi everyone. I hope everybody made it back okay. Things got pretty scary back there, but at least we got a bit of a happy ending, right?

I wanted to let everyone know that Etteilla will be running on shorter hours for a few days. I won't be able to do any readings this week, either. Sorry about that. [ She gives the camera an apologetic smile. She really does feel bad about this. ]

Hopefully things will go back to normal after this. I think we can all use a little rest.

[ACTION]

[ Anyone visiting Ninetales Vale or Etteilla might notice that the shop feels a little empty. Coeus and Mithra can be found taking turns running the shop, and the back room, which was normally reserved for fortune telling, is dark. The owner is strangely absent.

The events of last week took a toll on Nozomi and, after forcing herself perhaps a bit too much, she is nursing more than a bit of a headache. While she will likely be using this time to rest, she is also far too nice to send visitors and well-wishers away. ]

[What's up, Unionites? This morning's normally scheduled broadcast has been interrupted by the sound of someone's boots dropping onto what's likely a table. Which is quickly followed by the lovely sounds of someone eating. Kyoko's just helping herself. At the end of the day, a girl's gotta eat.

...at least, until she's interrupted. Apparently she wasn't quite as quiet as she'd thought.]

W-What are you doing in my house?!

[A bewildered voice rings out from the side, clearly Maki, upset with finding a strange girl in her home. There's a brief pause as Kyoko takes another bite of her breakfast, talking with her mouth full.]

Oh, this is your place, huh?

Of course it is! But that doesn't answer the question what you are doing here!

[ Maki is annoyed, for good reason, having an unwelcome guest in her house....even if she had just weeks ago been telling Kyoko she wished she could do something to help her. Kyoko on the other hand, just...doesn't care.]

I'm eating, obviously.

What about you? Come here often?

[ Maki stamps her foot on the ground.]

Y-You can't just let yourself into someone else's home without being invited in, you have to ask first! And don't put your feet on the table! Where did you even get--

[ And with that, there's a crash as Maki tries to stop Kyoko, ending the feed.]

Who: The Love Live! Girls, anyone who lives at Hikawa Shrine, and anyone leaving and entering the shrine! And stalkers. There are stalkers.
What: Practice for performing on stage! Their first practice ever.
When: Sometime in the afternoon, after school is over.

Summary: Honoka has finally managed to amass a group of people to get together as a little musical group to perform. They are going to try to practice together for the first time, and that could go any number of ways.

"Hello everyone!" She shouts once all the girls who she expected to come to practice arrive. "I wasn't sure where we could practice, but I'm so glad Rei let us come here and use the courtyard! So!"

She stands, feet at shoulder width, in front of the girls, looking determined as ever.

"We'll do some singing first! And after a little break, we'll try dancing! Someone will need to clap for us to keep time, but we can alternate who does that so everyone gets to practice dancing. And then! We can get something to eat when we're done! If there's someone you don't know, get to know them a little bit before we begin our practice!"

"Okay! Let's start!"

Hi everyone! I'm Honoka Kousaka, from Caldera! I came to Union a while ago, and I wasn't sure what I would find, but what I did find was...

Singing! And dancing! And that makes people happy! [Guess who's seen some shows and went to the charity concert.]

I'm not very good, but I've been practicing. I have a Jigglypuff who's been giving me lessons, and she scolds me sometimes for messing up, but I've been working hard! And maybe one day, a bunch of us can do the same thing together.

I want to know if anyone else likes to do that too!

Action:

[Honoka can be found out in Union in various places. Idol training is hard! And Jigglypuff is making her run. She looks worn out and is whining a little about it, but she's still trying.

Later, there's dance lessons...those are going alright, but then she's not exceptionally talented at it either. It's obvious if you happen across their path.

And at the end of the day, singing lessons, right outside too- and Honoka sounds okay, but that Swellow that's with them trying to sing along is horrific!]

[Good evening, citizens of Union. Tonight you are graced with seeing Umi again! And she's back in the city! It's truly a miracle. She's apparently in a section of the habitat for water type pokémon.]

I've returned from my trip to the swamp, and it was...eventually successful.

[To prove her point, she holds up a shiny Skrelp, and it's a good thing she's wearing gloves, because it's drooling all over her hand.]

...is there anyone who has experience with a Pokémon with a drooling problem? He doesn't seem to stop.

[Nozomi comes on over the feed, wearing an interesting hat, her hair tied in a braid to the side instead of her usual pigtails.]

Hi everyone! I know Soulfasting is still a month away, but I wanted to let everyone know that we're selling decorations and masks at my shop, Etteilla. If you want a special order, you'll need to make it pretty soon, otherwise we won't have time to make them.

Also, in honor of the holiday, I'll be doing tarot card readings for ten percent off, or fifteen if you buy anything from the store. We're open throughout the day. Come see us!

[Etteilla, nestled in the middle of Ninetails Vale on a busy street corner, is particularly busy today. One of the big places to go for Soulfasting supplies, Nozomi, along with Mithra the Nidoking and Coeus the Reuniclus, are busy at work. While the first two are selling their normal wares along with decorations, Coeus seems to be working on something else, an easel set near the cashier's desk. There are paintings near him, all with price tags. They range from people, to other pokemon, to landscapes, and while they are certainly amateur works, they're not bad. He seems very proud of them, at least.]

[It was late, and Nozomi was restless. Something had been on her mind lately. After sharing a vision with Rei Hino, she found she couldn't stop thinking about it.

Seeing herself perform on stage, standing with others, it seemed more than a bit out of character for her. But despite this, she got the feeling that she was enjoying herself. There was a warmth that she hadn't felt before, something that was hard to place.

What was the purpose of that vision? Who were the others standing with her, dancing with her? She felt that most of them were familiar to her, if not close.

Her cards were being difficult. They always were when she was on the brink of a breakthrough. Leaning over the array of cards, her mug of coffee steaming not too far away, Nozomi sighed heavily. She should go to bed, but this was going to bother her in her dreams if she didn't get it figured out.]

[Voice; to Maya]

[Sometime between 2 and 3 in the morning, a voice transmission comes in over her warp band. Nozomi sounds surprisingly quiet, her voice a little less confident than usual.]
