[These past few weeks, Eve has been training, and training hard. And it's finally paid off. When she appears on the video feed, she looks several years older than she did before, not to mention looking more confident. She may still not have a complete grasp on emotions, but that took a seat behind her newfound strength.]

This...is this evolution? I feel stronger. Much stronger.

[She pauses for a moment, thinking of what she should say next.]

I need to test my strength. I require a partner with enough power to rival my own.

[She'd be very pleased if there aren't any, but if there are, they would make an excellent test to prove her strength to herself. To see if this is truly the height of what she can achieve.]

I just evolved too! [ And she's been feeling the same sort of sensation too. Wanting to push herself. Yes, she did brawl a bit with Brownie but... it's not the same. Oh well.

From the video there's not a significant visible change in her, at least from the video angle ]

You did? [Eve knew she was significantly stronger than her own Pokémon. Battling against them wouldn't prove anything.

She did pick up on the fact that Melaka looked no different from the last time they spoke.]

You look the same.

Looks can be deceiving. [ That's a thing people say, right? She says this with an air of continued confidence ]

Either way, I'm game.

Outside one of the gates out to the Verdant Forest? Which one're you closest to?

I am closest to the North gate.

Mmm. Closest to the West, myself, but we can just as easily meet in the middle just outside the walls.

[True to her word, Eve would be waiting. And pacing almost impatiently. She needed this. To see if all that training had been worth it. To see if she'd reached the pinnacle of her potential.

Meanwhile, her Magnemite and Klink trail behind her, following her as she paces.]

[ Melaka takes a little longer, as stated, but eventually, she touches down. In person there are more physical alterations, but unless you saw her before the evolution they might not stand out. The muscles all over her body have grown and become tighter, giving her a slight bulked up appearance all over. Her skin is also tougher, but there's no real visual change there except for the sole distinctly inhuman thing: that leathery natural "gloves" have formed over her hands, shaped like fingerless fighting gloves (same as how say a hitmonchan has natural boxing gloves, that sort of thing.

But when she touches down ]

Eeesh, I guess I'm the late one.

[The changes to Eve are...less subtle. She appears several years older for one. Her hair is much longer as well. The technology grafted into her body also seems slightly more advanced. However, there's also some internal changes. Some of her bones are being replaced with steel.

She glances over at the other girl for a brief moment, before turning to face her. And there's a flash of light as what look like steel blades appear behind her, fanned out almost like wings.]

Are you prepared?

[She's not one to dawdle.]

[ Eeeesh. Well, she rolls his shoulders and then makes to take off her jacket. No need to get that thing ripped if they're going to fight. She didn't have her axe on her, but she's willing to try hand to hand. Hell, she'd been using that more than her weapon in the field, lately ]

Yeah, I'm set.

I've been training. Death will not claim me.

So what kind of cool robot shit can you do now?

I am faster. Stronger.

And... [Give her a second to demonstrate. She raises her hand and thrusts it off to the side, where what seems to be a floating metal blade follows, slicing through the air.]

That's some pretty cool robot shit.

I suppose. It's the strength I am interested in, although the aesthetics are not lost on me.

Well, good luck finding a training partner. Pretty sure you'd just shred me in half.

Are you frightened?

Not unless you're actually planning to. If you are, yeah, I'd probably shit my pants.

Unless you are an opponent worth testing my skills against, there is no reason to.
