Spring Fling
For those who fear the encroaching flowers herald events of a slightly more urgent nature, perhaps it isn't really paranoia so much as sensibility.
Two days after they first appear, every single flower in Union blooms overnight. The sight is incredible - the entire city is blanketed in rainbow waves of color, and the scent of the flowers themselves is quite fragrant. The strange pink blossoms are particularly attractive.
For many of the residents of Union, however, the flowers may not be the first thing on their minds as things go a bit chaotic.
1. Enlightened with a Bug, Fairy, or Grass typing will become subject to extreme emotion swings. Primarily, the emotions will be positive, like overwhelming ecstasy, a sensation of giddiness, and a desire to spread cheer amongst their friends. These Enlightened may also suffer from confusion, an excessive amount of energy, and general loopiness. When not in sunlight, they'll swing towards the negative end of the emotional spectrum.
2. Bug, Grass, and Fairy type Pokémon have taken it upon themselves to settle into this new paradise, with the Bug types descending in swarms from above, and the Grass and Fairy types wandering in through the gates whenever the guards aren't looking. Though not violent, they'll be generally insensitive to the trouble they cause for the humans and will react negatively to anyone or anything harming the flowers.
3. Other strange Pokémon have also wandered into Union and while most appreciate the gentle sunlight, a few of the more mischievous have decided that the city could use some more variety. Each individual Castform may alter the weather between sun, rain, and hail within a certain area of the city ranging about two blocks. If Castform is creating Rain or Hail, Fairy, Bug, and Grass Enlightened will respond in a negative manner.
4. Allergies will be more fun to deal with than ever.
5. Finally, the following event Pokémon will be temporarily available to be bonded with as an extra bonus for this week. Please respond in the Map and Wild Pokemon post as per the usual to claim these. The level range is 5-8.

This event will end on April 13th. You may use this post as an IC mingle or make your own entries as you wish. If your character is a Fairy/Bug/Grass Enlightened and you prefer not to play the effects, you may opt-out.

Sorry. I just wanted to make sure you didn't make Haruka worry.
[Not that she sees that happening. They finally reach the habitat and Setsuna scans the floor she's on. She then turns her attention to Charon.]
Why don't you check the Flying area? Haruka has a few pokemon of that type and they might know more.

[HootHoot gives Sewaddle a glare for a warning and then flies off.]

Harsh! Saint Cry!! the Murkrow, however, apparently thinks the only way to live with a name that involves three exclamation points is to be rude to everyone and everything. He doesn't know, and he doesn't care, so there.
Meanwhile, Sewaddle is clinging to Setsuna like a security blanket. He doesn't really like the Habitat, since there's a lot of scary Pokémon there in addition to a lot of nice ones. He likes it much better when he can hang out with Setsuna, and his human, and the human who tells his human what to do, and the small human. Can't he just play with you for a while instead? He has a few spare leaves. ] Sewa sewa.

Meanwhile, Setsuna wanders into the Habitats she is familiar with and is surprised to find Lethe lounging near the entrance of one. It was as if the Slowpoke had known they were coming.]
Lethe. You wouldn't happen to have seen Haruka?
Slow?
[Lethe tilts her head, clearly clueless of the location of herself...let alone anyone else. She slowly rises to her feet though and moves closer, staring up at the bug. Lethe is curious, hello.]

And hello, Lethe. Sewaddle is also curious about you. He leans down, thinks about this new acquaintance - then produces a flower he'd picked up from outside. ] Sewa!
[ Venturing to the edge of Setsuna's shoulder, he climbs down her arm to tuck the flower next to Slowpoke's ear. You needed an accent. ] Sewaddle.
[ And a look up to Setsuna. Didn't he make your friend pretty? ]

Meanwhile, Lethe is enjoying a new friend. She blinks at the Sewaddle's attention to her, eyes slowly driving up to look at the floor by her ear.]
Slow.
[Her eyes drift closed and there's a smile there.]
That looks very good on you, Lethe.
[Lethe blushes and seems even happier with the compliment. Setsuna has gotten very comfortable with the bug and decides to thank the bug by patting him gently on the head.]

[ What can he do for her, now that she has made him happy.....Hm. They can keep looking for his Trainer after he has fulfilled this obligation. Pulling out a few leaves, he sticks them together in a fanned-out shape, then offers this accent to Setsuna. This human always wears such nice clothes. She is sure to have a good eye for where to put her new brooch. ] Wad?
[ Rushing Wind will pull her act together. Where to find her Trainer....Is there a way out of the Habitat? They should search the streets! ]

She looks down as he goes to work and is surprised to find the little bug putting together a...brooch?]
Oh...thank you. One for me too.
[She accepts the charm and tries not to think about what went into making it.
Gross.She pits it to her jacket for the moment and Lethe beams up at her.]Slow.
[Lethe approves.]
[Charon scans the Habitat. There should be...there!]
Hoo! Hoo hoo!
[With a quick cry to Rushing Wind to follow Hoot Hoot is off and out of the Habitat. To the streets it is!]
TEACH HIM YOUR LEARNINGS, FASHION SENPAI (meanwhile i have lost my heart to lethe)
[ You have made him absolutely the happiest bug in the universe. In fact, he will spring the distance between his perch on your arm and your shoulder, scrabble like mad after flubbing the landing, and boop your head with the two bumps atop his. This is how Sewaddle greet each other, apparently
if you can believe the animé anyway. ] Waddle sew.[ And with that, he is all set to go on a Haruka hunt.
So is Rushing Wind, who makes it out of the Habitat without incident. The wind fills her wings and she swoops up as high as she can go. This isn't practical, but it sure is fun....Oh, wait, right. Down she dives to follow Charon, focused. The only thing her Trainer compliments her for is her resolve. She wants to hear that again. ]
It works out, I lost my heart to Natto awhile back
Lethe. Do you want to help us look?
[The Slowpoke blinks languidly before tilting her head in contemplation.]
Sloooow.
[Lethe then waddles forward and Setsuna now has two companions to help her find the elusive Haruka.
The real question now is whether Haruka will be found by Setsuna and her merry band or the two birds first.]
he's going to be decorating manly men this weekend...michiru found him some clients

[ She can't believe she's actually looking under leaves if she can't tell at a glance what's beneath them. He's got to be around the greenery, right? Knowing him, he ran out here to gather supplies.....And he's also a coward who can't defend himself. He's going to get himself eaten.
The main dish, meanwhile, is happily silk-burbling to himself on Setsuna's shoulder. Is that a window? With sunshine? Oooh. ] Swaaaaaaa.

[She leads her little group towards the main Habitat entrance and pauses as movement is caught outside the window. Setsuna turns and blinks. She can't believe she's finally spotted Haruka. Setsuna beams, and pats Natto on the head.]
I think things just got a bit easier. Come on.
[Setsuna heads to the door with a Slowpoke on her tail and Sewaddle on her shoulder.]
Haruka? Are you looking for someone?

[ Haruka turns, startled by the sound of her name. Setsuna? But how did she -
A sarcastic retort's on the tip of her tongue - but then, she notices it. A flash of motion springing from Setsuna's shoulder, and a small green silhouette headed right for her face. ]

[She folds her hands in front of her and waits politely for Natto to get settled.]

[ ....Wait. Haruka looks curiously at Setsuna. You? With the bug? ] Did he behave?
[ In other words, how freaked out are you due to your phobia right now? You really went out of your way for her. ]

[She then turns her attention to Haruka who appears to be studying her. Setsuna shifts her stance slightly, knowing that Haruka is well aware of her little fear and that the other woman is probably trying to figure that out about her now. She's an analyst, she knows when she's being studied.]
He was well mannered. He was upset when I first found him...apparently the Castform in the area weren't agreeable to him.
[And then they bonded. She doesn't want to say it like that, but it's more or less what happened from there. So instead let's change the subject. Setsuna looks up.]
I hope Charon and Rushing Wind aren't still trying to find you.

Sewa wa! [ You could never cause trouble for Sewaddle, Haruka! He shouldn't have wandered off. The world can be scary. But it has good people in it like Setsuna, so everything will always, always be okay.

[He did. He won her over so hard, though it's only slowly dawning on Setsuna that it happened.]
It's no trouble. I just wasn't sure what to do with him after I found him and he seemed very upset. Besides, it all worked out in the end.

Just for that, Sewaddle gets a head pat. You're still in trouble, buster. But thanks for behaving for Setsuna. ] Thanks. The weather's affecting some Pokémon. I don't think it'll be a problem for birds, but....
