Where: The newly discovered island
What: After recent events, the people of Union could use a bit of R&R. What better place than a tropical island?

An island paradise, discovered just off the southern coast, less than a day's travel from the city. A strong enough Pokemon could easily carry their partner and others out there. It was hard to say just who sent the original message, but pictures surfaced, with the tagline "Don't you wish you were here," came over the warp bands' feeds, and, like Venomoths to the flame, people began clamoring toward this new found tropical get-away. Those who wanted to go would find it easy enough--with so many people making their way to investigate, for whatever reason they claimed (but let's be honest, it was probably the beach), one could just hitch a ride.

The island itself appeared untouched by human contact. The Pokemon were strange and different compared to the fare immediately around Union. A warm breeze blew through palm trees, carrying the scent of hibiscus flowers. The water, blue as the summer sky, was warm and inviting.

This truly was a paradise.

Hiroshi's only indication this is a thing that is happening is a rustling noise... followed by a direct blow to the noggin, causing him to fall over and Spur to fly off his head. Takuro yelps and runs over, waving his claw in front of Hiroshi's face.

"i Am gUYbRUsh tHREEpWooD, aNd I wANt tO bE A pIRaTe."

...Okay, he'll be fine in a bit. Sure. Okay. Meanwhile, Takuro looks around for the source of that little bomb while Spur tries to regain his equilibrium.

[Ezreal's not exactly gonna let her win, but he'll keep pace with her so she doesn't fall too far behind.]

What are you saying? You aren't enjoying the sun, sand and sea?

[Meredith gives Camille a little pat of thanks. She had her disagreements with the old man over the years -- mostly regarding his protectiveness -- but she hurts when Armin does.]

Yes, but to find perfect ones will be a challenge!

That gets a barely stifled giggle from Armin, who reaches out slowly, though he stops before touching Spur. "May I?" See, he has good manners.

Hiroshi's reaction is well-appreciated -- sympathetic, but not overtly. Armin's doing his very best to forget everything about what's happening back in Union, not wanting to spoil the day. The question gets a dark look, and a nod. "Unfortunately. I don't regret not attending, if that's the sort of thing that went on."

[Was he holding back? She could tell at least that much. If he was going to do that, she would just have to beat him.]

[Mer come here a sec. Camille's got some advice.

Get Armin out, find him something exciting to do and throw himself at. It'll make him better, and will help him put his mind on other things. It's obvious he's upset.]

What makes them perfect?

[Yeah that's not happening. If she looks like she's catching up he's picking up the pace]

[And she will too, although that seems like a bit of a struggle. She's not about to lose--at least not without a fight!]

[Oh it's on. Full speed ahead!]

[Yeah no, she's not keeping up with that. She's an occasional swimmer, and definitely not meant for long spurts of speed. When they do manage to get there--her arriving way after him--she's out of breath.]

[Meredith nods seriously. This is a good plan. She'll start by encouraging him towards finding shells, by picking up one as big as her head and toddling over to hand it to Lux.]

No holes, no cracks or chips, not too delicate but not too hard either.

[The Pokemon seems to notice they are being followed by Bolt, keeping to the trees and making subtle sounds. It must be a small Pokemon to be able to venture so freely in the trees without much noise.

It doesn't run however, they stay within range. Perhaps it's looking to have some fun today.]

Cress has a malicious looking ghost sword that possesses it's wielder, sadly the Pokmeons attempts will be for nothing. Cress knows no fear, "Maybe they are shiny, my father says some Pokemon -- really rare ones -- will come in different colors. Famke must be really special."

[Ezreal's laughing]

Not bad! Not bad at all!

[This is going to go on for a few seconds of Rise not being able to breathe before Musashi has enough.]

[In a surprisingly short interval, Squid Girl has a glaring if somewhat sandy bug samurai giving her a Look. Or possibly a Leer.]

[Squid Girl's giggling continues right up until the Scyther is in her face, at which point she stops immediately - both the laughing and the tickling. She reels her tentacle back in, sitting in place with her hands on top of her knees and bowing her head down.]

I'm sorry! I was just teasing!

Hahahaha it's fine...hehe...leave her alone, Musashi...

[Rise's just gonna lie here for a second.]

You...got me pretty good there...

You have weeks that aren't training weeks?

[Squid Girl emerges from the bushes fully now, suspiciously eying up that Scyther as she moves past to sit in front of Rise.]

Were you surprised?

Red smiles, and leans back on his hands, and closes his eyes. Remembering the tournament, and specifically Feliks' battles.

"You..." He trails off. He had it together in his head when he was watching with Yang, but now it's all gone and he frowns.

"You need more faith in yourself. You are very competent and understand strategy well. I was a bit worried when you and your Houndour were facing Ezreal's Boldore, but, that feels more like an experience issue. Just be more confident early on, and your Pokémon will feel more confident with you." Looking back up at Feliks again, the smile is back on his face.

That's all over Red's head, but it looks great. History wasn't his thing at all. So he sits on his haunches, thinking hard on a name.

Abby fidgits with Red's hat meanwhile. {No, it can't... I can't do a lot out of the forest.} Which makes him very sad, and Red picks him up. "Don't worry Abby, we'll find something that's not in the water we can do."

Then a pause Before he looks down at Victor again, "Hey, where's your trainer? I can't even address you by name without someone to tell me."

Espurr will conquer all, she will triumph over this fearless smiley person she will -- get onto his knee and take a rest. Conquering is hard work.

"Really? Shiny...hm. I'll have to research it. I certainly think she's special, though."

Of course I do. You don't think I just work 24/7, do you?

[Meredith, what do you have there? She takes it, offering it to Armin.]
