Mewtwo Event Start
They came in a horde. Ferried by enormous water types and a huge flock of flying types, each fully evolved with strange markings across its body. They were angry. They were in pain. And they were here.
Moving across the land like a tidal wave, the horde of strange Pokemon swept across the land, making their way inexorably toward Union, and leaving devastation in their wake. At their head, a Psychic Pokemon of immense, immeasurable power. Covered in armor that did little to mask the scent of rotting flesh that accompanied it, the Pokemon’s mind seemed unburdened by the state of its body as it swept trees from their root with but a contemptuous gesture.
As the Union forces scrambled to meet the army of Pokemon, Ori, the mysterious young person who had visited before appeared in a flash.
Begone, Origin! This no longer concerns you!
The voice thundered in the minds of all present, the rage of the attacking Pokemon palpable as its horde roared in agreement.
Ori gave the Pokemon a sad smile as their body began to glow with an aura of pink light. In an instant, the human was gone, and another, much smaller Pokemon remained.
This is unnecessary. We… they can help you.
I trusted my fate to humanity once. Never again will I make such a foolish mistake.
You will see. They will show you the way.
The two mysterious stones taken from the Gigas installation appeared besides Ori, but their sheen seemed almost nonexistent. Closing their eyes, the Pokemon engulfed the battlefield in an aura of shimmering pink light. The wails and screams of the Pokemon assembled before them grew palpable. Screams of pain, screams of want, screams of beings slowly dying, grasping for a final hope that their master might cast down the accursed humans and find a cure for their malady, a way to allow them to live as whole beings.
But comprehension is not understanding. Heedless of the aura, the Pokemon advanced, a wave of destructive fury hurled to the teeth of the Union column.
[Mew’s Blessing: During this log all characters will be able to communicate with each other and all Pokemon telepathically, and can resonate with them without having to use their Warp Band. They can bond with any Pokemon on the field without the aid of their warp band, so long as they can present a good reason for the enemy to do so.
Children of the Verdant Forest will be especially affected, and during this log they will have a sharp increase in their empathic feelings. They will feel the pain of the cloned Pokemon before them, the pain of being “lesser” beings, incomplete, and the pain of the knowledge that their lives will soon end, the process that created them being unable to sustain their lives.
Kindred Souls will have some empathic ability, but to a lesser degree than Children of the Verdant Forest as outlined above]

Thus far the young man shows no sign of pain. Just compassion, which earns her respect. There's no hiding the breathe that escapes her lips when the Ghost-type pulls back and away, though she does not yet let her shoulders slump, nor let herself relax. Especially as something small escapes the company of her older pokémon, small hooves picking across the dirt until the ponyta pushes her nose between Sinbad and Sophia so she can look up at the Gengar.
Can we go home? She doesn't quite understand this talk of fools or companions, but her little flame puff of a tail flickers as she talks. The filly foal is shy, but earnest, especially now the ghost pokémon isn't yelling any more. Do you want to come home, too?

{OOC: Is anyone going to try bonding or can I?}

An involuntary shiver ran up his spine as the fist clenched, then faintest of sighs escapes as it withdrew. His tail sway which had been stiff from steeling himself start to relax and sway as Badr rush to his side, fussing over him - asking several variations of 'are you all right?'.
He actually grins and laughed at the fool comment, giving the tiniest of shrugs. "You're far from the first to call me that." Sinbad glances over to Sophia's pokemon. "That is a good question, where will you go from here? You're free of course to strike it out on your own, but you can come with any one of us - even if it's just out of morbid curiosity or to be there to say 'I told you so'."

And it floats over to Sinbad. I shall observe, it decides, settling down among the ranks of the young man's Pokémon. Should you risk your life in your foolishness, perhaps I can be of use in what little time remains to me. And, if you displease me -
It raises a hand again. I can always finish what was begun.
Congratulations, Sinbad. You get a new friend because he's of the opinion you're the biggest idiot here.

It was a relief that they'd been able to resolve this peacefully, and someone with Sinbad's foolhardy but earnest and caring temperament might be just what Gengar needed to find peace.

"..I'm going to retreat," she tells the rest of the group, casting one backwards glance at the leader of the psychic horde, before whispering another shielding spell under her breath. "Should further things go poorly, I would rather be there to help any retreat, or injured."

Duo was glad it had decided to join their side, at least. He then glanced at Sophia.
"You're not continuing forward?" This didn't feel completely over, yet. They still hadn't seen the leader. There was always a leader, right? "Isn't there more to this?" He then looked back at Sinbad and the Gengar. Were they all heading back?

With that, he turns to Sophia. "Okay, you keep the path clear when worse comes to worse, okay?"
no subject
If it comes down to that.

He waves an arm at Mewtwo. HIS power cannot be contained by reality itself. I shall accompany you. But don't expect me to shorten my already flickering existence.

"..Good luck, then." There's a flare of pink energy, before the shine of a Barrier materializes: a seemingly-solid screen forming before each Enlightened and Pokemon before vanishing in sparkles, granting them increased defense. Sophia is very aware that she would be little more than a liability if Mewtwo went into battle with everyone, but this much she can do, at least.
Nodding to the rest, she turns and shepherds her pokémon friends forwards, Ymir remaining only to give the Gengar an untrusting look, before following in her wake.

The spinarak grumbles to itself, inexplicably annoyed by the scene in front of her. With the group starting to disperse, it seemed like a good time to try and get away entirely, hopefully without running into another one of those upset pokemon. Some buttons were being pressed entirely too close for comfort.

"Ready when you are."
