[It was a rare day when Waver Velvet addressed the public of Union as a whole, but this day something about him seemed off. He seemed more bothered, more irritable than normal-- not that the little Nincada that was sitting on his head seemed to care. It drummed it's little feet happily on Waver's head, glad to be there for it's trainer in this strange time.

Heaving a sigh, Waver continued:]

Let's take a poll. Who here has been having weird dreams for the last couple of days? I need to know for academic reasons.

[...And, that was all. Waver scratched his cheek, feeling awkward and embarrassed about this entire problem that he was having.]

Don't worry about when you reply. I don't think I'll be getting to sleep any time soon.

[And, with that, the feed abruptly shut off.

Respond, Union?]

Well, not my fault that Night Eyes insisted...

[Cue big yawn as he tries to wake up further.]

So...whuz this bout dreams, anyway?

[Sometimes, Waver found himself wondering of the pokemon secretly had a more varied social life than their trainers...but, that was a question that would never be answered. Tucking his hair behind his ear in a nervous habit, he just shrugged.]

They're dreams. Unpleasant ones. I'm trying to find out if there's a pattern or if I need to take a leave of absense for a while.

[Because there was no way he could be an effective Ranger, even if he was just an office worker, if his mind was playing tricks on him.]

Bad dreams? You sure you haven't eaten anything bad lately? And I don't mean odd in taste. I mean...food that actually went bad.

[Yes, Right thinks that it's an actual source - or at least, a potential source.]

If the Stunlutefisk they serve every winter in Sanctuary hasn't killed me yet, I doubt any food will at this point.

[Seriously. The only thing worst than Stunlutefisk was Fried Stunlutefisk.]
