[It was a rare day when Waver Velvet addressed the public of Union as a whole, but this day something about him seemed off. He seemed more bothered, more irritable than normal-- not that the little Nincada that was sitting on his head seemed to care. It drummed it's little feet happily on Waver's head, glad to be there for it's trainer in this strange time.

Heaving a sigh, Waver continued:]

Let's take a poll. Who here has been having weird dreams for the last couple of days? I need to know for academic reasons.

[...And, that was all. Waver scratched his cheek, feeling awkward and embarrassed about this entire problem that he was having.]

Don't worry about when you reply. I don't think I'll be getting to sleep any time soon.

[And, with that, the feed abruptly shut off.

Interesting. So they give you insight into various possibilities that could happen, but not necessarily what will happen.

Yeah, I can't see or sense the results would be except 'Optimal', 'less optimal', and 'that is going to get you killed'. Though as a side effect, I can never get lost.

That sounds like a limited precognition-- it's interesting.

[And certain things about Sinbad suddenly made a little more sense.]

So, what sort of 'waves' are you getting with these dreams?

So that's what it's called, 'precognition'?

[He'll file it away, given he only learned last year that it's not a sense everyone has - might be good to actually look it up]

It's... it's not 'you're gonna die', but 'danger, danger everywhere - stay away', but there's no place to run to.

Yeah, I'd assume it is. Then again, not being that kind of psychic myself, I don't really have more than word of mouth to go by on this one.

[He shrugged, but he had in a way verbalized what was so strange about these dreams for him. He's not the precognitive kind of psychic. Most of the classic 'psychic' abilities were completely and utterly lost on him in every sense.]

[He nods in understanding before he paused - his puzzled expression growing serious]

So if you're having these dreams, and so am I - there is no way that's a coincidence - if a third chimes in, that's the start of a pattern.

Except I'm not that kind of psychic, [he reiterated, not at all ashamed by this admission.] We'll have a pattern, but it makes no sense for me to suddenly start having these dreams.

Well, we know it means something - people almost never have nearly identical dreams that are vivid enough to be remembered. It could be ability doesn't matter, just sensitivity to whatever might be the cause.

So you're figuring it's an intentional message sent out to psychic-typed trainers?

[It sounded too crazy to actually be real...but, somewhere in the back of Waver's sleep-deprived mind, he knew better than to question the possibility.]

Either it's an intentional message, or there's one person or pokemon that has enough of a psychic power to blast it out to everyone without meaning to - I'm not sure which one is better... or worse.

They're both equally bad, [Waver muttered, and suppressed a small shudder.

He was loathe to learn the truth, but he knew it was an inevitability at this point.]
