Operation: Gigas Freedom Event Start
True to their word the Seekers lead the teams discretely through the winding streets of Gigas and into service entrances, gaining them admittance into the heart of Gigas’s political compound. Bringing them stealthily along the catwalks, the Union infiltrators were brought to the inner sanctum, close to the captive Gigases and their mission.
Sharp-looking soldiers in fatigues holding machine guns patrolled diligently, although their demeanor was not especially tense. It seemed no immediate operations were taking place at this time as no engineers were present. And in their enormous cages, the Gigases slept. Waiting.

His Wartortle gurgles in agreement, spitting out a slew of Bubbles towards the guards in order to both distract and harm them enough to not shoot. Just seconds afterwards, Tamago flutters above the group, unleashing a round of Ancient Power onto the guards facing them.
Only after those two attacks do Right and the rest of his Pokemon attempt to move forward towards the console. Even if he don't know how to work it, maybe they can smash it and let the God go free?

With no time wasted, Waver summoned up a Barrier to protect the party and took off after the rest of the group toward the console. "Atlas!" He called, voice catching in his throat as he stared at the oncoming guards. "Do something!"
Grunting, the Seismitoad took point and unleashed a rumbling, ear splitting Hyper Voice at the oncoming guards. Even if they didn't fall, they sure would be very unhappy for quite a while!
24 Hour Advancement. Remember that only the first 2 actions will be counted.
The Barrier and the typing blunt a great deal of the damage too. Good job team! But Rotom will find his passage blocked by a Seismitoad that drops down between the ghost and the console, standing there with it's arms crossed.
No, thing. No touch.
Meanwhile more guards come streaming in, this time Pokemon guards and not humans. A pair of Machamps charge right for Minako, swinging arms down in a Karate Chop...or two. Gordon gets his own bit of trouble in the form of a Raticate leaping at him from the back of one of the Machamps, trying to get in good for a Bite, and both Right and Wartortle, along with Waver's Seismitoad get caught up in a Magnitude (RNG says 4) attack from a Marshtomp dropped from one of the guard's Pokeballs.]

Her Milotic quickly slid across the ground towards the Seismitoad blocking Rotom, and whipped a Dragon Tail at it to hopefully give Rotom a clear shot through.

[Gordon's gun rings out, too loud in the enclosed space of the elevator, two quick shots towards the incoming Radicate. A steel type jacket won't do much against a Bite, and he's already bound to have some bruises from the gunfire. He flinches in pain, and a Breloom is summoned through his warp band, looking around to get its bearings.]

"No! Stay back and guard the elevator, Momo!" Right gestured to his Togetic. "Tamago! Hit him with that special move!"
Tamago salutes in response and unleashes her Secret Power at the enemy Pokemon. She will not let you harm her companions, agent of the evil Gigans!
((OOC: Potential Status Effect for the second attack is Paralysis, due to being in a building; 30% chance of infliction, and rolled 25 on the RNG for it.))

Thoroughly irritated now, Waver cast a Razor Leaf attack at the Marshtomp-- glad that he had prepared himself for a variety of issues. Meanwhile, Atlas the Seismitoad dives through the onslaught and slams the Marshtomp with a Drain Punch.

Lavender, on the other hand, stops what she's doing to somersault over the chaos and slam the Raticate with an Acrobatics, bouncing back whether the attack is successful or not in order to tackle a human guard's ankles. Bitey.
Magnolia is having the time of his life, along with the rest of his team, in thoroughly distracting the human guards from doing anything useful. Even when he's not fast enough to escape his hands-on combat with no injuries, he takes it all in stride and doesn't even flinch.

Seismitoad staggers from the strike but it doesn't fall. Instead, it leaps upwards, coming down hard onto the ground with a Giga Impact. Milotic is the unlucky one closest to the epicenter, and will be thrown backwards into a wall, but the entire building shakes from the landing. The Rotom will have a clear shot, as the toad has to haul it's fat ass out of a crater.
Raticate had been reading itself for another leaping bite at Gordon, but unfortunately it eats two bullets and an acrobatic shot. A slave to the laws of physics, the pokemon rebounds, smacking into the ground, KO'd.
The human guards, all unenlightened, start retreating, trying to take cover and wait for Registeel's cleansing beams, but several of them are knocked completely out.
And then there's Marshtomp. It is so over this. The Roar, the series of attacks, and it's own foul temper are getting the best of it. They all connect, and it opens it's mouth in...well it could be surprise. It could be that it's vomiting. Or...
Oh wait. it's Muddy Water! A wave of disgusting, soupy, mucky water rushes towards Right, Pignite, Waver, and Seismitoad. Good luck!

[The Breloom turns to Gordon, and nods, heading straight for the most dangerous of the remaining opponents, Spores emerging from it's head as it draws close to the Marshtomp. Cause trouble when you're asleep, jerk!]
[The Rotom hesitates briefly, looking back to the Milotic, but seizes the opening, rushing into the console, immediately feeling the system out. Is there a screen? How about speakers? What does what? Just how many of the systems in the base does the console tie into?]
He's through, defensive positions!

Waver frowned at this turn and immediately moved to cast a Reflect to guard against any physical damage from the muddy vomit long enough for them to come up with a plan to counter this annoyance. Time was of the essence-- and he didn't know how long they had to reach the controls.
They needed to do this quick.
"Enough of this-- Atlas, you know what to do!"
And, indeed, the Seismitoad did. How did the Marshtomp feel about a Hydro Pump to it's vomiting face?

Sawk and Piloswine moved to defend the console while Rotom was working.
Doublade took a moment to check on Minako, before readying itself for a fight, but Artemis the Persian jumped in as Minako was forced down by the attack. He jumped in, aiming to Bite one of those arms and pull it back from his trainer.

"Softy! Help soften him up!" And as Right had requested, his Lucario fires off an Aura Sphere at the enemy Marshtomp.

Rotom gets into the computer, playing havoc over the systems, electricity sparking along the console, and up onto the harness around Registeel.
But...the beam doesn't quit charging up...
A voice booms out of the godly titan, filled with malice and wrath.
"Insects! You thought this would be that easy?"
An electrical squeal issues from the computer console and Gordon's Rotom will find itself flung back towards it's trainer, dizzy and confused about what just happened.
"Fools!"
The beam widens more and more, the whine of Registeel's charging attack growing almost deafening. And to make matters worse, a Block slides into place all around the room. There's maybe a few seconds left before that beam annihilates everything in that room, Gigans and Unionites alike.
What do?
no subject
Seeing that beam, he immediately tries to send his Pokemon away. However, that Block naturally prevents him from doing so. He looks up at the God, then at everyone else....and then meets Waver's eyes with his own. "Get everyone else out of here," he tells him in a surprisingly dead-serious tone of voice, "including the Gigans."
He then quickly turns to move towards the God, reaching out both vocally and emotionally as the Kindred Soul that he is. "My Lord! Mighty God of Steel! Please, listen to me! Won't you stop and listen, just for a moment?"

Durant's tunnel. Now.
[It's the best chance any of them have at survival if this fails.]
Wait!
[The words stop the Breloom in her tracks, the Pokémon half finished with a focus punch.]
We came to free you! I know you have been trapped here for a long time, but we're different now. These guards do not represent humanity. The people above know nothing of this. I know you're angry, but let us punish the guilty. Nobody has to die today!
[The Rotom flies up, looking into the Registeel's eyes.]
it's true! No poke balls! No slaves. Jim's my friend! He teaches me, and takes me new places, and we work together. He's met Diance, and Moltres!
[The Rotom loops back away, flying into Gordon's warp band on his raised hands. Mike the Blastoise emerges, to Gordon's surprise. The Blastoise sees the god charging an attack and steps in front of Gordon, using Protect.]
Please, Titan. These children have done nothing to deserve this.

They stick close to him as he pays no attention to any attempts at diplomacy and instead looks at the console.
"Don't you want to be out of those restraints? I would." His Gligar and Sigilyph begin hacking away at the harness, and he crouches to see if there's anything he can unplug or tear away, with a bit of psychic force if necessary. Even Plumeria, his Kabuto, does its part, clinging to a tube and scratching away at it with all claws.
Well, he's trying.
It must be awfully annoying, he thinks, to be caged up like this and given commands through technology.

"You words may not reach it..But it reacted when you went after the console. If someone can get to the console again, connect your warp band to it. We--I will then try and access it from here, and see what I can do to help."
She's too far away to cast a spell, let alone cast one that might help bolster defences against the attack threatened by that increased whine. But Maeve had specifically mentioned that computer. That had to count for something.

"Atlas, Helen. guide people to the nearest exit," he called, unzipping his Ranger's jacket so the anxious yet efficient Vulpix could join the Seismitoad. Without another word, he teleported over to the console and set to work syncing his Warp Band to the device.
After all, why task anyone but a Magus to do a Magi's job?
"Should be good now, Sophia," he chimed in over the feed. "Ready when you are."
no subject
"Any last words?"
And without even waiting, the beam attack fires, an immense flash of energy exploding from Registeel's chest. But...a voice rings out, clear as a bell through the room!
"NOT TODAY!"
There's a resounding crash, a blazingly bright burst of rainbow colored light, and the killing stroke slams into a shield of some sort, ricocheting off it and into the ceiling, exploding up and outward...into the city proper...vaporizing most of the roof above the complex instantaneously.
As the light dies, the group will see Kiho standing tall and defiant before Registeel. Her right hand is held up and the seven colored shield seems to be radiating from her fingertips...and an intense pressure builds in the room. Fire licks at the hem of the woman's robe, and her eyes flash every color of the rainbow. Her fingers jab upwards and a blast of Sacred Fire lances up at Registeel's face. The titan screeches, clawing at it's burned face, and several more beams fire erratically, burning holes in the roof and sending rubble tumbling down into the facility. It tries to swat at her, but the shield holds. For now.
"GO! GET OUT OF HERE! I WILL HOLD HIM!"
All around the party are the Gigans they'd beaten up and their pokemon, as well as the elevator leading upward. Maybe it's time to get going? Or do you stay and try and help her out? The choice is yours.

Thank you.
[He pivots, then, looking to the others.]
If you've got hands, arms, or pincers, grab someone and get to the elevator! Now!
[He and his Pokemon matching this description start getting the bystanders, defined here as anything not a God, to the elevator. His only summoned Pokémon not matching this description, the Rotom, watches for a moment, considering the system holding the Titan captive, but also considering that the captive was a lot more eloquent than the enslaved Pokemon. He shoots Kiho a little salute, and bails. Odds are, the fighting will destroy the mechanism anyway.]

He lets others take the Gigan humans; he helps a few Pokemon into the elevator, whichever Pokemon are left that the others haven't already handled.
He wonders how much of the city that vaporised, idly, but it doesn't bother him much.
no subject
Abandoning his mission, he disconnected his Warp Band and stumbling over his own feet, started grabbing the arms, he jackets of anyone he came upon.
"Come on! This is our last chance!"
Atlas the Seismitoad took a proactive role in this, piling unconscious Gigans upon his broad shouders while Helen the Vulpix leapt around the debris and barking an alarm cry at anyone who could hear her. She found a clear space-- let's go!

Such is the after effect of such power - both that which was stolen and now being wielding by the emperor, and that of the defender blocking further attacks. It takes a bit for the signal to reform, and there's static interruptions.

Apologies, I was out until very late last night.
