The White Dragon
The people of Union have descended into the besieged city, doing everything in their power to aid the citizens of Glacier yet remaining within. Whether struggling against the invaders seemingly loyal to the White Dragon, or seeking out the injured and lost in need of aid, they take advantage of several hours of relative calm to do all they can. And for a time, it seems to be working - the invaders are not so very strong after all, not against the experienced Unionites who have surpassed everything from human armies to memories of gods.
But perhaps the might of the two combined is an altogether different challenge.
GRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAH!
The sensation is felt throughout the whole of the city, the rumbling of the earth itself enough to take down the more unstable buildings in its wake. From any point, at any height, all eyes are drawn to the monstrosity that has descended in the blink of an eye into the still-burning town center. A great, white dragon... Exactly as described by those who had escaped from the city.
Those with sharp eyes will see that standing beside it, there seems to be a human figure.
Its sheer presence is overwhelming. The air around it ripples with an aura of heat, but felt even more keenly than that, there is a devastating sense of raw power and control. This being... this god could burn down the entire earth if it wished. A city of Glacier's relative size... What chance did it possibly have? That the world yet remains standing seems almost a mercy. Its size is immense, its bulk several times larger than that of a Wailord, its height almost seeming to rival the tallest towers of Union, though perhaps this is an exaggeration of the mind.
It takes a step forward, and the earth shudders once more in its wake.
All across the frozen city of Glacier, every individual carrying a Warp Band will suddenly feel the device activate of its own accord as a video feed begins to play. Attempting to turn it off fails, and changing it doesn't seem to work either. Something, or someone, has hijacked the feed and is using it for their own announcement.
A tall, severe looking man stares into the feed, his lone eye seeming to burn with an unnatural fire. And beside him, only its lower body visible, stands the feet of the White Dragon, its fur outlined in crisp detail from this distance. The man gazes steadily forward, eyes yet alight with passion.
"So, it seems that this place has found someone to come to its aid. No matter, our plans will not be disrupted by insects like you. Still, it's good to know that there are humans left that understand the value of kinship with our fellow inhabitants of this world. It brightens my day, you might say, to know that my men have been facing honorable opponents, and not weak cowards that still cling to the old ways.
A pity that when we're done here, we'll have to come for you next. I won't lie to you and say we'll show you mercy, but at least your deaths will be swift."
He smiles then, a thin and grave expression.
Every fiber of those remaining in the city screams to flee from this threat. There is nothing they can do - they must retreat. But though their minds may instinctively beg for such a course of action, to do so means to abandon its people to a fiery demise. Can they truly run from this?
They must choose quickly... and this time, it is not a choice concerning a rabid creature, an angered and wild animal lashing out. This cold and calculated destruction, sanctioned by a god itself, so reminiscent of what was said to have happened in the past. To oppose it, perhaps, means to steer the course of history into terrible new waters. Choose quickly, people of Union. What answer will you find?
((Reshiram is a Legendary, and thus, the normal rules will not apply. It will be able to strike through abilities that would seemingly protect people, and analysts will not be able to sense its weaknesses. It radiates an aura of power that will inspire fear and awe in those who see it. Please be warned that there is a definite chance of injury when attacking this creature; however, despite all this, it is possible to defeat it.
Have fun! And enjoy some mood music.))

No, it preferred to scream. The ground rippled with the sound, the white dragon's tail began to glow bright red. Mouth opening wide again, an energy gathered around it, and it reared forward, letting loose a Focus Blast at the party.]

[Nonetheless, Isabela has a Pokémon deployed and ready to take the brunt of the dragon god's attack...and it's Vivillon, apparently. The Hyper Voice knocks her around badly, but the Focus Blast is thankfully easier to shrug off. Vivillon attempts to deal some damage and heal itself in return with Draining Kiss.]
[Isabela herself, meanwhile, once again lets her flamboyant Pokémon cover her while she ducks and covers, attempting to sneak closer to the enemy without being observed - this time, her daggers are intended for that handsome megalomaniac standing next to the dragon. Even if a god was taking orders from a human, that human should still be mortal...]

Mr Sunshine has already bolted out of the way at the sound of the roar, the new Castform clinging to his back. It's just as well, considering their weakness to the following move.
At the highest point of his trajectory, Fai hovers for just a moment for the sake of taking aim, knowing he's vulnerable and only hoping that the God has more than just him to focus on at the moment. Then Babycakes lets out a defiant little cry and sends a Moonblast at the beast, followed by a cascade of Psychic energy blasts, vaguely shaped like birds and exploding on impact, from Fai.
Then he's more or less dropping headfirst toward the ground in an attempt to lower air resistance and move faster, prepared to catch himself with telekinesis before he makes contact with the ground.]

Babycakes has the right idea -- Fryderyk!
[The Altaria sings out in reply, and focuses a Moonblast attack on the God. Down below, too far away to really hear any orders with their ears still hurting, Marek and Huzar take matters into their own hands, the former letting off an Earthquake while the other tries a Dragon Rush. Feliks holds off on attacking for himself, instead calling out one last Pokemon -- his oldest and truest.]
[The Gardevoir appears with him on the Altaria's back, using her telekinesis to keep her weight from affecting his ability to fly. When she catches sight of the God, she shrinks back visibly towards Feliks, eyes wide, making a sound of distress.]
I know. Trust me, I totally know, girl. But like, we kind of need you right now, ok? So we can make it home alive again. And... I kind of need you at your best.
[She knows what he's getting at. Pulling herself together with the help of his resolve, Jadwiga nods. Light begins to gather around between the two of them even before Feliks gives the direct order:]
Mega Evolution!
[The light brightens, seems almost to physically concentrate, surrounding her completely, covering everything near her in a bright glow before it shatters and leaves her standing changed in the daylight. Feliks manages a grim little grin for her.]
Go get 'em.
[She smiles, much more serene now, and fires off a number of psychic blasts -- which almost immediately vanish into thin air. Jadwiga used Future Sight!]
no subject
Shem, Alas! Help Babycakes and Marek!
[The two Pokemon nod, leaping into quick action. Shem the Sylveon gathers its power and releases a Moonblast to support the earlier attack of Fai's Floette. Alas the Mamoswine, for his part, gives a mighty roar and stomps the ground, adding his bulk to Marek's Earthquake.]
no subject
Hopping up, Yuuna taps her Warp Band to call out her Sylveon and Dragonite. Getting close is going to be hard for her and the Hitmonchan, but they're moving that way. In the mean time...]
Teki, hit him. Just like we talked about. And Susume, go!
[The Dragonite flies up, a Dragon Rush coming at the god top speed, and the Sylveon adds another Moonblast of it's own.]
no subject
Reaching for his Warp Band, he called out the newest addition to his team-- and the only one he could think of that might be able to help.]
Khione! [He called, dragging himself out of the snow as the elegant Amaura arrived on the field.] Let's try an Aurora Beam!
[He needed to regain his focus, or else he would be of no help. Dragons were what he had prepared for-- and, for, now, this was the best he could do.]

[ The numerous Moonblasts strike true, and Reshiram lets out a guttural scream. It appears that they are at least somewhat able to damage it, but, in turn, have made the god more than angry.
Isabela won't get far before feeling her mind assaulted by a powerful Extrasensory attack. It would appear that the god knows exactly where she is, despite her best efforts, and, judging from the quick look it gives her, means this attack as a threat; step any closer, and she would receive much, much worse. She will feel a mounting sense of dread, as the god attempts to impose its fearful aura upon her.
For Babycakes, Fryderyk, Huzar, Shem, Marek and Teki, the pokemon are hit with it full force, a visceral fear overtaking them suddenly and violently. They will find it difficult to shake this immediately. Khione and Waver are not left wanting, thankfully, as the white dragon launches a Payback attack at both pokemon and human partner.
The air then begins to heat up, the snow and ice melting around them. It shimmers like a mirage, becoming almost oppressively hot, even for Fire-types or those who are particularly resistant. A blue aura emanates around the white dragon, pulsing and growing hotter still. ]

Alas... Ancient Power. Shem, come back. Solas, help us.
[Merrill's commands are quick, clipped, and devoid of their usual carefree tone. As her Mamoswine begins to summon the power of the land itself to attack Reshiram, her cowering Sylveon is replaced with a Hitmonchan that's eager to do battle. With lightning reflexes, it launches a Fake Out attack in an attempt to shut down whatever move the god is charging.]
(ooc: Fake Out is increased priority and has a 100% of causing flinch, but will only work on the first turn Hitmonchan is out, so it's all or nothing here.)
no subject
[She is, however, smart enough to abandon the sneaking mission, take cover, and summon Mawile, who - rather than charging into a telegraphed Fire move - starts immediately sobbing Fake Tears in an effort to make the enemy weaker against future Moonblasts.]
[Vivillon, meanwhile, eyes Merril's strategy and joins in the "pre-empt the big kaboom" plan, flying rapidly over the god and dropping highly flammable Powder from her wings.]
no subject
With a shout, she recalled her dragons and both she and Gouken hopped on, taking off and wheeling around to the flanks of the massive God. Being near the tail and the head? Didn't seem smart. They didn't have any way to stop the incoming attack like Isabela and Merrill, but darn it if they were just going to just stand in that thing's path. That seemed like a Grade A BAD idea.]
Merrill, Bela! Run! Get out of the front!
[You know, just in case they were relying on those moves to stop it entirely.
And hey, from dragon-back and able to aim at it's head now? Maybe she could do a bit more. So, here comes a Thunder Wave, a full power burst of lightning spraying from her fist. Hopefully that will help the whole "stop the dragon from firing a death ray" thing.]

[Gods damn it, he'd better be okay. Feliks just made that friend, he's not ready for anything bad to happen to him!]
[But, as Fryderyk panics, Feliks finds himself with more immediate concerns. His flying becomes erratic, as for a few moments he's too paralyzed with fear to even beat his wings properly. When he does start to react, he immediately tries to turn around and get as far away as possible as fast as possible.]
[Feliks understands the urge and all -- it's in his bones right now, as their surroundings heat up enough to bother even him -- but he grits his teeth and fights Fryderyk on it anyway, trying to tug him back around. In short order, he finds himself slipping a bit, as they swoop around out of control.]
[Ok. So flying is no good right now, huh?]
Jadwiga! Teleport me around to the side of it!
[Still drawing her courage from his, Jadwiga nods and complies; they disappear from Fryderyk's back, and reappear together about the same distance from the God, but far enough from the group to make it hard to focus on all of them at once.]
[And, for a moment, he holds off on any further action, unsure his own long-ranged attacks will do much and not wanting to draw too much of its attention until he's got Jadwiga's firepower alongside his own.]
no subject
Until Khione grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and lumbered off as fast as she could on her stubby legs. The attack hit, but the ice-type took the brunt of the blow.]
Khione! [Waver cried, and there was no hiding the fear in his voice. They needed...they needed to get out of there.
He Teleported the two of them away to side of the beast, praying that it was a little safer over there.]

The air begins to shimmer more violently, and breathing gets harder as the heat intensifies, blue flames hissing into life from the once frozen ground all around them. Trees burn and the earth cracks as Blue Flare surges, quickly spreading and surrounding the party.
That tightening feeling in their lungs? That would be the flames, sucking in any kind of oxygen from the area, further fueling their destruction. And the white dragon does not appear to be done with them just yet. ]
"Become ash and dust, like those pitiful humans before you!"
[ It speaks, if only briefly, before Overheating itself, filling the blue flame ring with deadly heat. ]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7MvfjyWslg
"It would appear that I was not too late. That is good."
[ Stepping forward, a strange, dog-like Pokemon stares up at Reshiram, its face solemn, unplussed by the temper tantrum the God seemed to be unleashing.
Its presence was undoubtable, and while it did not exude the pressure of its being upon them, it was easy to tell that this Pokemon was one to be respected. ]
"What are you doing here?!"
[ The white dragon bellowed down, angry, heat once again radiating from its body. But, strangely, it was not as oppressive as it had been. Was it being suppressed somehow?
Not acknowledging the Dragon-type's further tantrum, Entei looked toward the group. ]
"This one would like to assist those born of this new world, if they would so allow it."
[ It bowed its head to them, before turnings its attention back to Reshiram. ]
"The era of the oppressed ended centuries ago, old friend. Do not tread down this path. There is still a place for you."
"I will not talk with one as deluded as you! You will burn like the rest of them!"
[ The great beast lowered its head. ]
"Then we are at an impasse. These children are not like their ancestors. This one will show you. No. They will show you."
no subject
Aaaand there goes another one.
[Isabela's staying hunkered down for now, preferring to let the gods sort it out and stay under cover from the lethal attacks, but she does consider one thing - checking the radio she stole earlier to make sure that the big bad eyepatch guy didn't have any reinforcements coming.]
no subject
Good. Alas, keep it up too.
[The Mamoswine gives a grunt, letting out a loud roar as it stomps the ground. If Ancient Power wasn't having the intended effect, perhaps the god would like to contend with an Earthquake instead.]
no subject
[From her perch on Susume's back, Yuuna begins to feel the heat. The large Pokemon turns, banking sharply to put it's body between it's trainer and the attacks, and even it's Multiscale ability doesn't abate it too much. The dragon roars in pain as several layers of her heat-resistant scales just rip apart. Kuina whips straight up, zooming into the clouds, avoiding the worst of it but still catching some of the fire and roaring in pain.
...And then it's gone? All of it. The fire...all of it. And there's another god.
Well doesn't that just beat all. Yuuna and Susume roll over and sag, sighing to one another in relief.]
Thanks girl. But we're not out of the woods yet. Let's finish what we came to do.
[The Dragonite grunts and speeds up into the air after Kuina, nodding to her fellow Dragon type as they hover high above the embattled god. And then they both breath in, and exhale a Dragon Breath and a Dragon Breath, coruscating beams of blue fire rippling down towards the gigantic god!]
((2 dragon breaths, both have a 30% chance of paralysis))
no subject
[And then suddenly, the heat is gone.]
[For a moment, before the new God speaks, Feliks wonders if he's dead. But no -- no, he's alive. He's alive, and he's not alone, and the knowledge of it rushes through him, emboldening him.]
We're not gonna let everyone get hurt like that again! Not the people or the Pokemon!
[With Entei's words in his heart, he pushes himself up onto his feet again. Fire swirls all around him as he does, bright and hot, building by the moment. When it lashes out at Reshiram, it's very unlikely to do much, but as it dissipates, it leaves his body close to completely healed -- his first public use of his own Rebirth attack.]
[Jadwiga takes her cue from him without command, working in sync with him like she always has, and lashes out with Psychic.]

[Pulling himself to his feet, Waver squared his stance and tried to ignore the way his heart was pounding in his chest. There was no way he could give in to panic-- not now, not like this. Gods and judgements were affairs that were well beyond his understanding or control...
But, he was grateful for the chance to breathe.
Quickly recalling the Amaura with a tap on his warp band, Waver struggled to draw in his focus with the dog-beast's gentle but firm words. A few uttered syllables were dropped in a swift, shakey cadence, and Waver followed the lead of the others' assault with a Moonblast of his own.
This was all beyond his power or understanding...but, he could at least do that much.]
no subject
Pulling himself slowly to his feet, only swaying slightly in a feat of rather impressive self control, he gathers his power and lashes out with Mirror Coat. Babycakes quickly follows this with a tired but defiant little growl and another Moonblast.]

Reshiram takes a sucker punch from Play Rough, and another actual punch from Sky Uppercut. The dragon doesn't shoot into the stratosphere due to its sheer size, but the dual attacks do send it reeling. Saliva spraying as the creature lets out an otherworldly scream, it readies to charge the group, body once again emanating an extreme amount of heat. It appears too angry for words, so guttural screeching will have to do.
Breaking into a full charge, the Double Dragon
™Breath, Psychic and Moonblasts slow it down, buffeting the god on all sides. But it does not stop. A creature of pure, fiery rage, it tunnels in on its attackers. But where was Entei during all of this? The volcanic hound seemed to have disappeared shortly after giving the motivational speech of a lifetime. Way to leave the party hanging.
But as Reshiram closes in, a warm, pleasant breeze wafts past, followed by a mighty roar. Oh, there's Entei. Reappearing in a blast of flame and glory, the inferno hound, its form roughly the size of the white dragon, rams into it full-force, tackling the other legendary and pinning it down. Focused on the thrashing Dragon-type below it, Entei bellows down. ]
"Now, with all your might!"
[[Get in your final attacks in! We will be finishing this thread tonight/tomorrow morning!]]

Halam sahlin.
['This ends now.' A simple declaration in the language of her forebears, understood implicitly by her Pokemon to mean this would be the last strike. Solas the Hitmonchan takes his place in front of the massive form of Alas the Mamoswine, and with a quick nod to one another, their assault begins.
Whipping up a massive ice storm, Alas unleashes a Blizzard attack headed straight for Reshiram. And playing the role of backup for once, Solas lends a Helping Hand, sending each razor-sharp chunk of ice flying just that much faster by punching each one with lightning-fast strikes.]
Return to your slumber, great one. Uthenera awaits.

[Yuuna nods to the Hitmonchan, who nods back. This was going to be the end. By hook or by crook this thing had to be stopped. Fury, anger, a reckless feeling fueled by her fighting typing and sense of adventure drive her forward. She was ready, and it was now or never.
She was going to punch a god. with her best friend on her side.
Kuina and Susume banked sharply, tipping the woman and her Hitmonchan off and dropping them onto the prone dragon's head. May as well take advantage of this, as stupid a plan as it was.]
Now!
[Rearing back their fists, the two fighters focused all their strength, all their chi, and slammed their fists down hard onto Reshiram's skull. It may not be super-effective against a dragon type, but a pair of perfectly timed Focus Punches was pretty much the most powerful thing that two fighting types could pull off, and there was easily enough force behind them to crack a mountainside with the amount of chi being poured into the strikes.]
Take that!
[And before the blizzards and flurry of other deadly ranged attacks impact, the two of them leap clear, rolling away into the mud left by flash-melted snow.]
no subject
[How is he supposed to do anything but obey its command?]
[Done with talking, Feliks rushes in to attack Reshiram himself, throwing all his weight and all the Fairy-type energy he can muster into a single use of Play Rough. Standing back, Jadwiga lends her own aid with another Psychic blast.]
