I am going down to Old City to do some investigation--and before any of my nannies ask, yes I have plenty of medical supplies. You're welcome to come with me, if you'd like.

[A pause]

Matthias, if the Commander will let you, I'd like you in particular to come with me.

[[OOC: THIS IS NOT THE CONFRONTATION POST, this is just Martin going down to the Old City for some exploration to see if he can find anything out because this guy has a hero complex the size of Manhattan some times. [Boar tried to talk him out of it, but in the end Martin decided to go down into the Old City. He felt, as a Ghost-type, it was his duty.

Naturally, he brings Boar, Tiria, Hillgorse, Sunflash, Aubertia, and Brigadier. The more Ghost types he has, the better he suspects things will go.]

[The minute he'd heard Martin say his name over the warp band, he'd almost fallen directly out of his bunk. The second Commander Kiske had given the confirmation, he was in his uniform and out the door with his staff and shield in hand with Basil well in toe as he sent his own video message back.]

Yes sir, thank you s...Martin! And of course Commander Kiske, I'll have a full report ready by the time I get back! I'll meet you outside the entrance to the Old City, if that's alright.

[A quick message, but anyone listening could hear his words practically dancing out of his mouth as he dashed towards the meeting place. It was...fair to say that the Old City had always unnerved Matthias; honestly it unnerved a great deal of people, but the thought of having his actual hero was enough to steel his resolve beyond any fear.

On his way though, he did make some mental lists in his head...The Old City was famed for it's gaggle of Ghost Type Pokemon...a type he had a clear disadvantage against with Basil as his only partner, but he had other tricks up his sleeve. Snap caps, he called them, little balls of plastic with firework powder in them along with other ingredients for every occasion; Bright Powder, Kasib Extract, and his favorite, Aspear extract which was like having someone rub hot peppers in your eye if it went off near you.

He knew he'd be running support, so he brought along some medical supplies as well as extra food for those going on the mission...it never hurt to be extra prepared after all.

He finally reached the entrance to the Old City with time to spare, though his nerves were too active to let him simply sit still while he waited. So he paced, and ran through his strategies with Basil in case of emergencies, and just generally set himself about pacing.]

[Why is he not surprised that Matthias beat them there?

Martin shows up not long after Matthias and he stops to watch whatever it is he's doing with Basil.]

Don't work yourself too hard, you'll need your strength and energy.
