Where: The Tycoon family estate
Summary: Lenna is hosting a charity event to benefit Union's poor and homeless population, along with refugees from war-torn communities outside Union's walls and people who are moving into the city but need some help while they get on their feet. The entire city is invited, and donations are not required but are strongly encouraged in the form of Lenna smiling and making big moe eyes at everyone as they enter until they do.

[It's the beginning of the Soulfasting holiday, and despite the complications with Cresselia and Darkrai, Lenna has miraculously managed to pull together the final preparations for her charity event at the last minute. The party itself is being held at the Tycoon mansion in the noble quarter, and the doors have been opened for any and all who wish to come and make merry.

The spacious foyer of the house has been set up with numerous tables with food and drink for the various attendees, plenty of room for dancing and mingling, and of course a large stage at the front of the room set up for Rin and Len Kagamine - Lenna's roommates and the headline performing act of the night. There are donation boxes situated around the room, and Lenna will also be accepting larger donations personally so that she can secure them elsewhere in the house.

And because of the time of year, there is also a table set up with plenty of Pokemon-themed masks for people to wear, with a fancy sign hand written in calligraphy: 'Courtesy of the Tatsumi Gallery.' Lenna herself is wearing a short red party dress with matching heels, greeting everyone as they enter and more or less just buzzing about making sure everyone is having a good time.]

[Having made it, he had been dressed to kill, figuratively. Similiarly to a few people here, Garen had been sent not only to donate, but to mingle and pick up an eligible person. Instead of course, he is moving rather like a guard, keeping his eyes open for any potential trouble. Therefore he is missing the entire point of the party, but he's making good time and it's conceivable that he can bump into anyone at any time that's out to ruin his attempt to not have fun at this party by saying hello. At least his has a winning smile on, after all he is here to make an appearance for society.]

[Trouble had been lurking near the food tables, at least until she'd spotted Garen in a suit. And smiling. It was a very, very welcome change from seeing him in armor all the time.]

Gaaaaaaaaren!~

[There's only a few seconds before a certain Sword in a purple dress crashes into him in bear hug. At least she had the courtesy to warn him? Even if that hadn't been her intention. She was just surprised to see him here.]

[There's a grunt as he shifts a bit, much more than he was expecting, but he lightly rests a hand on Tohka's head.]

Hello Tohka. Eating all the food, again? [It wouldn't be the first time, but it hardly seemed to affect her so he only asks to tease a bit.]

Not all of it!

[But a...fair amount. Yeah, let's say fair. Honestly, her appetite is legendary.]

What're you doing here? I didn't know you liked parties.

[Knowing about her appetite, he waves off her rebuke with a smile. Though when questioning him about parties, he sighs.]

Well, I was asked to come, and it is a good chance to meet people. I guess. Why are you here?

[She thought Garen was too serious for this kind of stuff.]

It sounded like fun! And the food is pretty good, too.

So did you meet anyone?

I'll have to give it a try then. Do you recommend anything in particular?

[He is, but yet he is here anyway some how... When she brings up meeting, he tenses a bit.]

Sort of.

[Did he expect a different answer?]

Ooooh? Who'd you meet?

Let's focus on you, Tohka. [Because it isn't focusing on him.] Walk me through the table.

[No fair, Garen! Using her love of food as a distraction is cheating! But it works.]

Okay!

Uh...these cream puffs are pretty good. And I dunno what those are, but they're so delicious!

[And if she isn't stopped, she is going to point out every item on the table.]

[His masterful use of strategy is why he's one of the higher-ups in the Swords, after all. Following her along, he debates on if he wants to let her point out everything... and finally clears his throat.]

Tohka, while you're here, do you think you could try patrolling a bit, too? We don't want unsavory characters here.

[Tohka looks kind of disappointed when he cuts her off. He'd asked her to walk him through the table, and she was doing as asked.

But she nods and gives a determined look and a salute at the request to patrol.]

Sure! Do you think anyone will try to ruin this? Can I beat them up?

[One of the other partygoers, having a conversation with the woman who had led the Ylissean refugees, points the young woman Garen's way. She thanks them, and heads towards him. As she walks near, it's clear she has a Honedge belted to her side.]

Excuse me sir. You're Garen Crownguard, right? My name is Lucina, and I was told you'd be the best person here to answer my questions about the Swords of the Savior, if you can spare the time.

[Thankfully, he wishes to do anything except brush her off. Nodding after he realizes she is serious, he turns to face her completely.]

Yes, I am Garen. As for being the best person I can't guarantee that, but I will do my best; it's good to spread the word about the Swords whenever possible.

Thank you. To begin with, I was wondering if the Swords allow immigrants to the city into their ranks?

[It's a fair question for someone new to Union, thankfully for Lucina, Garen has a reasonable answer.]

We welcome anyone that will help us uphold our ideals, Lucina. I am surprised however to see someone eager to join so soon.

[She shook her head.] Not exactly eager. It's just one of the paths I've been considering, and I wanted to know if joining was even a possibility before I started to set any plans for finding a place for myself here in stone.

Well then, tell me about these paths and what draws you to them. It might even help you discover your answer if you talk about them aloud.

The Rangers are fairly similar to an organization in Ylisse that I was training to join, so I'm familiar with the work.

As for why I'm thinking about joining the Swords...while it's unlikely, if there ends up being any friction between your people and mine, me being a member would give them someone that they know will treat them fairly.
