Soulfasting Concert for Charity

What: A Soulfast-themed charity concert and dance

Where: The Tycoon family estate
Summary: Lenna is hosting a charity event to benefit Union's poor and homeless population, along with refugees from war-torn communities outside Union's walls and people who are moving into the city but need some help while they get on their feet.  The entire city is invited, and donations are not required but are strongly encouraged in the form of Lenna smiling and making big moe eyes at everyone as they enter until they do.

[It's the beginning of the Soulfasting holiday, and despite the complications with Cresselia and Darkrai, Lenna has miraculously managed to pull together the final preparations for her charity event at the last minute.  The party itself is being held at the Tycoon mansion in the noble quarter, and the doors have been opened for any and all who wish to come and make merry.

The spacious foyer of the house has been set up with numerous tables with food and drink for the various attendees, plenty of room for dancing and mingling, and of course a large stage at the front of the room set up for Rin and Len Kagamine - Lenna's roommates and the headline performing act of the night.  There are donation boxes situated around the room, and Lenna will also be accepting larger donations personally so that she can secure them elsewhere in the house.

And because of the time of year, there is also a table set up with plenty of Pokemon-themed masks for people to wear, with a fancy sign hand written in calligraphy: 'Courtesy of the Tatsumi Gallery.'  Lenna herself is wearing a short red party dress with matching heels, greeting everyone as they enter and more or less just buzzing about making sure everyone is having a good time.]

Another concert--even bigger than this one! We need to get lots of fans.

[Len glances around.] I think everybody who donated counts.

You can definitely count on me! I'll come to all of your shows! And I'll tell my friend Rin about them too! I'm sure she'll love to hear you!

[roadrolled]

[Suddenly Len isn't just all talk anymore...this is for real! He's pretty excited about that.]

You better keep that promise! [He points at her, smiling widely.] We need fans who--hm?

[Casually, while his hand is still out, Len just pulls her glasses off.] You didn't have these before. [He's really one to talk, considering he gave himself pointy ears in her dream.]

Wh-wha...?

[Hanayo's face goes beet red as Len lifts the glasses off her face, and in the very next moment, with only a short sighing noise as a warning, she passes out and falls forward.]

[roadrolled]

Ah--? H-hey! [Len panics and manages to catch her, although somehow he's panicking even more now that he did.] Are you okay?! ♫

[Because holding a girl is awkward and embarrassing and he's pretty sure whatever regulates his internal temperature systems is malfunctioning right now, because his face feels really hot.]

[It's only a brief thing, and Hanayo stirs awake in his arms a few moments later. She blinks a bit up at his face before blushing all over again and glancing away.]

Oh! U-um... I-I'm sorry... you just surprised me!

[roadrolled]

[Oh good, she's awake. Len lets out the breath he'd been holding.]

It's fine, uh, lemme-- [He's just going to go ahead and prop her back up and decidedly stop holding her, or at least that was the intent. He ends up static shocking her pretty suddenly in the midst of it.] Sorry! ♫

Eep!

[Hanayo jumps a bit at the shock, eyes going wide as she brings her hands up to cover her mouth.]

Th-that's all right...

[Deep breaths, Hanayo. Deep breaths.]

Aaahh, my heart is still pounding...

[roadrolled]

[Len looks down at his hand, pushing his fingers together to see if he can do that again. Nothing happens...]

I-it doesn't usually do that! Is your heart going to be okay? ♫ [How do humans work?]

[ricericebaby]

M-my heart...?

[Aaaahhh, no, why did he hear that...]

Yes... i-it's fine!

[roadrolled]

[Super robot hearing, clearly.]

Uh, are you sure? Okay then. [Len keeps prodding his fingers, and then remembers he's still holding on to her glasses, so he just puts those on his face. He stumbles back a little from the sudden change.] Whoa! ♫

Can I have my glasses back...? I don't see very well close up without them.

[roadrolled]

[Len squints through the glasses at the blurry mass that was Hanayo.]

Really? You seemed fine without them before. ♫ [He shrugs and takes them off to hold them out for her. It was a relief to take them off anyway, but his eyes needed a moment to adjust.]

[ricericebaby]

I think that was because it was a dream.

[roadrolled]

Oh yeah. [He lets out a suffering sigh.] ...Does that mean you can't really sing or dance either? ♫

[ricericebaby]

N-no, I can...! I practice with my Pokemon!

[roadrolled]

Oh, great! [He perks right back up.] Well I guess that means you can be my fan and my rival... ♫

[ricericebaby]

Rival too? Y-you really think that highly of me?

[roadrolled]

Anybody who's in the same business is a rival! ♫ [He's not really answering the question, is he...]

[That's okay, she didn't notice.]
