[Nozomi comes on over the feed, wearing an interesting hat, her hair tied in a braid to the side instead of her usual pigtails.]

Hi everyone! I know Soulfasting is still a month away, but I wanted to let everyone know that we're selling decorations and masks at my shop, Etteilla. If you want a special order, you'll need to make it pretty soon, otherwise we won't have time to make them.

Also, in honor of the holiday, I'll be doing tarot card readings for ten percent off, or fifteen if you buy anything from the store. We're open throughout the day. Come see us!

[Etteilla, nestled in the middle of Ninetails Vale on a busy street corner, is particularly busy today. One of the big places to go for Soulfasting supplies, Nozomi, along with Mithra the Nidoking and Coeus the Reuniclus, are busy at work. While the first two are selling their normal wares along with decorations, Coeus seems to be working on something else, an easel set near the cashier's desk. There are paintings near him, all with price tags. They range from people, to other pokemon, to landscapes, and while they are certainly amateur works, they're not bad. He seems very proud of them, at least.]


[Action; Locked to Eri]

[It was late, and Nozomi was restless. Something had been on her mind lately. After sharing a vision with Rei Hino, she found she couldn't stop thinking about it.

Seeing herself perform on stage, standing with others, it seemed more than a bit out of character for her. But despite this, she got the feeling that she was enjoying herself. There was a warmth that she hadn't felt before, something that was hard to place.

What was the purpose of that vision? Who were the others standing with her, dancing with her? She felt that most of them were familiar to her, if not close.

Her cards were being difficult. They always were when she was on the brink of a breakthrough. Leaning over the array of cards, her mug of coffee steaming not too far away, Nozomi sighed heavily. She should go to bed, but this was going to bother her in her dreams if she didn't get it figured out.]


[Voice; to Maya]

[Sometime between 2 and 3 in the morning, a voice transmission comes in over her warp band. Nozomi sounds surprisingly quiet, her voice a little less confident than usual.]

Mayocchi? Are you around?

[ Apparently underestimating Nozomi is a dangerous thing to do, and Maki might have to learn that the hard way. ]

I was just talking to Coeus about his art...

[ Trying to change the subject quickly. ]

[Nope, not happening. Hugging a little tighter.]

N-Nozomi!

[ The squeezing make Maki whine, her tail swishing against Nozomi. ]

I-I was just afraid to talk to you! I thought you would be mad at me! [ Oops. Apparently, it's really easy to make Maki confess things. ]

[Nozomi's good for that. She eases up a bit letting the girl go and giving her a look.]

Why would I be mad?

[ Let go, Maki steps forward, already moving her hands to fiddle with her hair like Nozomi had just ruined it or something. ]

I-I don't know. I thought you maybe wouldn't want to see me as much since you and Eri are...

[ So yeah, basically Maki still feels similar to how she felt before, even though Lakshmi's talk did help. ]

Since we are..?

[Nozomi that isn't nice. She chuckles silently.]

Together? Why wouldn't I want to see my friends just because I'm dating someone?

[ Ugh, she already had a hard enough time explaining this, and now she's being forced to do it again! ]

..I didn't want to bother either of you... Like I told Lakshmi, I didn't know if you two wouldn't want to see anyone else or anything...

[ And then she goes and admits she already told Nozomi's Pokemon everything/ ]

You're not bothering us. You're my friend. I still wanna see my friends even if I'm with someone.

[What is this weird logic, Maki.]

[ Dating is weird and new and she doesn't really get it. More so, she doesn't get why someone would call her a friend. ]

I guess I was just worried for no reason then..

[ Turning her head away and sighing, Maki really just...should have known better. Her ears fold down and her tail falls flat. ]

I-I'm sorry...

It's okay, I don't mind. Don't worry about it so much.

[And at that moment, Eri comes walking down the stairs]

Oh, hello Maki. What brings you here today?

A-Ah, Eri..

[ Well, Maki had been hesitant to see Nozomi, it was obvious that she was feeling the same about Eri, not wanting to be a third wheel or whatever it may be between them. ]

I didn't know you were here.. I just came to talk to Nozomi. N-Not that I didn't want to see you anything!

[future_sight]

She lives upstairs, why wouldn't she be here?

[Nozomi stop being a butt.]

If you two need to talk privately I can go back up, it's no problem.

N-No, that's okay, really!

[ There's nothing that Maki really wants to say in private, definitely nothing about having kissed Chie and feelings weird about it, nope, nu-uh definitely not that. And Eri leaving would just give more inclination for Nozomi to pry. ]

I just meant...it's still surprising a little.

[future_sight]

[That assumes that Nozomi actually cares about Eri being here as far as meddling is concerned and won't pry. Because that's a very, very big assumption.]

How come? When you like someone, you wanna spend a lot of time together, right? If you live together, then you get to spend a lot of time together. I bet Makki'll figure it out eventually.

It's also a good idea economically, more people to pay the rent means you can afford a larger space.

I guess that makes sense...

[ Maki really wouldn't understand how it has anything to do with saving money, especially given how rich she is. But it looks like the two of them are happy together, so she should be happy for them, right? ]

I-I just hadn't realized the two of you were like....that. [ Like Maki should talk, seeing how she kissed Chie, though not everyone might know that by now. ]

"Like that"?

[Not teasing, she genuinely wants to know what Maki is getting at.]

[ Nozomi you may not be teasing, but Maki feels dumb, and quickly turns her attention back to Coeus's work. ]

U-Um...I-I wanna buy this! For my Papa's birthday!

[future_sight]

[W-what?! You want to buy his painting for something so special?! Coeus doesn't know how to react, and for the first time, makes a bit of noise--an embarrassed squeak--while waving his hands in the air. Surely you want a finer gift for your father, Miss Maki!]

[ It's really two birds with one stone, helping Coeus, and getting Nozomi off of her for the moment. Oh and helping her dad, since she does like it and thinks he would too. ]

No, I want this one...i-if it's for sale...I mean.
